i enjoyed folding and assembling this model, but would suggest that the first four folds be made with the color side down. In the video, the first two folds are made color side up, and this makes later folds harder and less precise, especially when 'opening' the mostly complete flat piece into a 3D shape. There is even a cut in the video @ about 3:44 where I suspect this difficulty is edited out. In any case, once completed, it's a nice model and hold together reasonably well.

You make it look so easy to assemble!! My pieces would not stay locked; even attempts to use paperclips failed. Had to use glue in the end.😥

What do you do if you don't have 30 pieces all the same color?

Thank you for your comment😊💫This kusudama uses 5 pieces to make one star, so I think it uses 5 different colors of paper🍀🌷
