- I had the pleasure of teaming up with Paul McGuren from squid fishing guide Moreton bay / … last night to film a episode ( part 1 ) based on Paul and squid fishing. This episode is only the first of a few episodes. The next episode we will be filming in the coming weeks and will be a cracker if it is anything like this episode. This episode was a test to see if we can successfully film quality at night.. awesome clips even better advice. apart from fishing for squid at night does the tide play an part in been successful???
Another quality vid Kurt, keep up the good work. One question, do you think that it is worth spending 15-20 dollars on a squid jig for BCF, (black magic, fish candy jigs etc.) when I can get one from K-mart for 3 dollars? I know you use more expensive jigs, do you think it makes a difference? Cheers.

Hey mate, do you have to use rods designed for squidding or can you use a light tackle spin rod for soft plastics and lures.

The MUG (an endearing term as I knew him) has absolutely awesome eyesight for squid. He's a real champion expert at squidling, no doubt about that. He know oh so much on how to do it, when, where and why.

Word of warning guys just for "Moreton Bay Squid Fishing Guide" calls himslef "Mugs" -WARNING TO ALL ON THIS PAGE, "Mugs" does not provide a section on this page for feedback, (this is for good reason). fly by night tour guide here. very rude and (not family friendly), he swore in front of my mates kids, doesnt quote figures or times upfront. a mate of mine had some real grief with payment instisted on cash only. after looking into it, it is not a real business no ABN so id say he is avoiding Tax while we all contribute, people like this just take. what ever happend to good decent family fun, safe squid fishing entertainement. I have noticed on his other posts that he wont offer advice (unless you book a tour) that he makes very un-comforatble. do not recommend to anyone. Id be booking a more professional business to enjoy.
