Nice review. A similar unit is the Eventide Mixing Link, which is considerably cheaper (although it does have a different feature set). The Mixing Link has the mic pre input, a guitar input, the di out, a guitar out, a headphone out, an aux in, phantom power, latching/momentary footswitch, and an effects loop. The feature on the Mixing Link I like the most is the blendable effect loop, so you can mix your dry signal in however you want. I use it to sing through effects pedals. The Rex is probably better, in terms of the quality of preamp, and it has an eq, which the Mixing Link does not have. Rock on!
Was thinking of ordering one for s as bit for my mandolin. Your video pushed me over the edge. Ordered through your link!
Greatly appreciate that my friend! Thank you

Bruh? You’re playing my Mood!
I SO AM NOT! 😋
Does this sort of mic pre-amp require warming up at all?
I doesn’t have tubes so not really. The sound pretty much stays consistent throughout use
Effect loop it the great option, shame you can turn it on and off.
