    that La Liga data is strange, more goals but also more draws. more goals usually correlates with a lower draw %, but la liga is a quirky league
    the 0-0 rate of 2.53% in EPL is insanely low, I'm not sure if that can continue. I doubt there are many leagues anywhere in the world with a 0-0 rate that low. Two leagues which are known for goals, Norway Eliteserien (5.37% rate last season) and Dutch 2nd division (3.32% last season) quickly confirm this. Bundesliga is 3.73% this season. VAR has definitely added to the goals column (more penalties + more added time = more goals = lower 0-0 rate).
    It would be interesting to see if average injury time added in a league correlates with more goals being scored than usual, although I think this sort of data would be very difficult to get hold of. The Championship, for example, has seen an increase of .31 goals this season versus last where there has been an inordinate amount of added time in games

    Enjoyed the video - would love to see some more in depth on this topic in the future: what are some of the best ways to understand if the markets are catching up and a strategy’s edge is being eroded etc.

      1 million isn't very useful if it isn't backed by income. If Peter is likely to beat his return on investment using his software that say investing in index funds, then he'd still be best to deploy that capital doing what he knows. Money grants you time, but definitely not a worry free life :).

    Hi Peter! On betfair can we do parlays (combinated bets) with exact scores only? Otherwise which bookmaker do you advise us ? Thanks a lot

    If you ever find an automation file that makes consistent money I’m interested…otherwise these vids are no good…

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  4 месяца назад

      This video isn't about anything aligned to that comment. Besides, lots of people have automation that makes money, but why would they share it?
      Part of what you need to do is find your own edge, which is what I encourage people to do.

  • @seba8789
    @seba8789 5 месяцев назад

    For correct scores, how is calculated the bookmaker's margin? I imagine that the margin is higher than the markets 1X2 and over/under. Thanks

    7:45 if i understand well you mean that it's quite rather to analyze the trends by league. But which size of sample ? All seasons since 2010 or less or just the current season ? Each league has its own specificities but also each season has them too. How do you proceed exactly?

  • @seba8789

      It's across many markets as well, rather than just games. I tried to correct myself on the video.
      I tend to stick to higher liquidity games, so don't tend to touch lower liquidity stuff elsewhere in the world.

    If someone has been banned by sky bet paddy etc can they still use a exchange? As they are all under flutter

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  5 месяцев назад

      If you have self-excluded they you will be banned at all related entities. But if you are banned, that won't stop you using an exchange.

      @betangeltv no, I haven't self excluded. But I was just thinking if a person was banned by paddy and sky bet for whatever reason, could they still use exchange as betfair is apart of the flutter entity

    not a big fan of ltd
    when waiting for market to settle
    another goal could go in
    prefer dripping the unders or lthtcs instead

    • @megaskyburst
      @megaskyburst 5 месяцев назад

      LTD is "only" good either if you get a very late goal, last kick, or last couple of minutes, or if the odds-on favourite takes the lead. LTD when the underdog scores is much less profitable

    I've been running some profitable automation since September based on your predicted goals feature, but after watching this I'm now worried it's only been profitable because of the general value, not because of the predicated goals 😄 Time will tell, I suppose.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  5 месяцев назад +1

      The predicted goals will adjust with the market, so you should be good. It's just people using 'judgement' that will not be able to see the market shift.
      I actually recorded the video then added in the predicted goals after the initial final edit, as I felt it was an important pointer to be highlighted.

    Style of play has a lot to do with it. How many goals have been scored in extra time compared to previous seasons? Premier league is much more open than previous seasons.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  5 месяцев назад

      I understand this logic of playing out from the back, but it seems vastly overused now and often used when there is no gain to be had. It's odd.

    • @megaskyburst

      I saw a stat the other day which showed an insane amount of goals being scored this season 90+. Makes sense as we are seeing lots of injury time and we know that the end state of football always contains more action as teams are pushing for a goal and there is often more space on the counter

    keep it simple, put your money in a savings account and get 5% for doing nothing

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  5 месяцев назад +1

      If memory serves me correctly I started with a bank of £1k when I started doing this seriously. So if I'd managed to somehow get 5% a year that would be worth £2653.30 20 years later. Instead I've recycled it through the markets as often as I can and made millions.
      Of course, not everybody can do that. But just wanted to show the difference between no risk, and some measured risk.
