All these mackerel videos are giving me the itch to go try at our warf when I gets back from holidays. I keeps a few to eat but also use em for mink bait trapping season. Take care,love the videos.
I say the bottled mackerel will be tasty over a campfire this winter. The smoked stuff is delicious and I had it before. Take care buddy. Wish i was closer to you folks fishing there.
Mackerel fishing is a great way to spend a bit of time. The home hardware here in my area sells mackerel jigs , they’re silver fish shape with a red eye , they’re deadly. I wouldn’t be able to use a real that requires the use of my left hand. I am new to smoking fish myself. I tried smoking rainbow trout last weekend. They were good but I should’ve left them in the smoker longer.
That's some great mackerel, size and numbers! I haven't seen them that good yet! Those sabiki mackerel rigs with 60 lb test would be perfect for the tidal river I fish in, nothing worse than a week sabiki rig losing all your gear.

Yes hey by... I just used a minnow jig without a hook and it worked great!!
