Re: Adalind & Victor - in terms of the writers, I think they were going for a Alice in Wonderland (Through the Looking Glass?) trippy experience for the character, they had to have some kind of presence for her in these episodes & I think this was a good route to take (as opposed to the normal threats or other creepy approaches Victor might have taken). As for Juliet, she did have a bit of a wake up call with overhearing the danger to Nick & the burning Wolfsangel was the tipping point for her, the cure though... both funny for us & so messed up for them!
This method of victors is really about breaking any defiance left in Adalind until she is too emotionally exhausted she would agree to do anything to make it stop. As a mother I honestly couldn’t imagine a worse torture then keep giving her hope and then ripping it away again and again.
I love the cut from "Right after I finish with _this_ bitch!" to Trubel's machete at his neck. We all know how things got from point A to point B, but the cut is still funny.
The biggest problem with season 4 was when I realized the size of this place was very unreal. The wall opened into a space that was larger than anything in their country. Oh well. 😁✌️
This episode needed a lot of work. This is the episode where Wu should find out about Wesen. Josh should not be in this episode. Adalind's original storyline is gone. I like the Wesen trying to drive a woman crazy, but her killing someone with her car was a bit much. An accident would have sufficed. Also at the beginning of this episode the symbol should be burned in front of Monroe and Rosalie's house. Sean's mother visits Sean and tells him she will be done with the potion and his detective will be a GRIMM again by tomorrow. Sean gives his mother an envelope with plane tickets and a reservation for where they were going on their honeymoon. Wu is on the scene and has heard about the "wolf" that seems to be tormenting this woman. Sean returns to the office. The case Truble was involved in gets a guilty verdict at trial. Wu is watching the house when he sees Monroe go over the wall. Wu is doing this when he is off duty. Monroe finding multiple identical suits causes Nick and Hank to do more research about the husband and they learn he is 1 of a set of identical triplets. Nick asks Monroe to pick up some masks for them. Nick and Hank meet with the woman to convince her to get out of the house via the bedroom balcony that night so they can get her to safety while her husband is having her declared mentally incompetent. That night Wu observes Nick and Hank going onto the property and escorting the woman back to their car. Nick and Hank attempt to arrest the 3 and one gets away and runs into Wu who sees him as Wesen and tasers him. Hank deals with Wu and gets him back to the house so they can explain. Sean's mother goes to Nick's house and less than thrilled about what she has to do. Juliet answers the door and Sean's mother seems surprised by Juliet. Sean's mother gives Juliet the potion to turn into Adalind so she can sleep with Nick and undo what Adalind did and warns Juliet of the pain involved. Juliet calls Nick so she will know when he will be home and takes the potion while wearing a robe. Nick comes home to see "Adalind" sitting on his couch in a robe. Nick listens as Juliet tells him in Adalind's voice the real reason why Juliet turned down his proposal and why it is her fault Adalind got to him. "Adalind" then leads Nick up to his room and the door closes behind them.
Monroe and Rosalie must be protected at all costs.
