I had missed this video but thankfully I found it yesterday. I made the French toast casserole and it is awesome. I will never make French toast the old way again. I used up the rest of a loaf of homemade white bread I had on hand. Yummy! I keep checking in. Because your videos are the best ever. And you are a natural teacher! Please make more videos! FYI: For those uneducated about the milk she added: The protein in milk creates a strong batter or dough, capable of rising and withstanding the rigors of baking. The sugar and fat in milk help tenderize and moisten the baked good, while adding flavor. Sugar is also the ingredient that creates a golden brown crust on baked goods. Many cooks use milk for baking, even if recipe does not call for it.
I use maple extract in my glaze for my cinnamon rolls. Yum. My daughter has to have several 1/2 gallons of egg nogg every year. I just found your channel today. Your casseroles look so good.

Can you use chocolate milk or cold flavored coffee instead of eggnog? Also cooked crispy bacon or precooked, or crumbled sausage.? Can you use boiled or baked potato or hash brown or tater tots. Also can these be cooked in a slow cooker Although,I your presentation is very good and just looks pretty, i think i would mix my gteen oinions and parsley with the base,,because some people like evrrything already in the dish without it being on top. Hi Lesa! Half N Half is what a lot of people put in coffee :-) It's a pre-made mixture of half heavy cream and half whole milk. You buy it in the dairy section where milk, heavy cream, and whipped cream are. I hope you got to make the dish!
In uk we call this kind of thing bread and butter pudding,we kinda make marmalade sandwich with bread or brioche add bit of currants or sultanas plenty of cream ,but one big difference is we eat it with custard and as a pudding,

FYI: For those uneducated about the milk she added: The protein in milk creates a strong batter or dough, capable of rising and withstanding the rigors of baking. The sugar and fat in milk help tenderize and moisten the baked good, while adding flavor. Sugar is also the ingredient that creates a golden brown crust on baked goods. Many cooks use milk for baking, even if recipe does not call for it.
I use maple extract in my glaze for my cinnamon rolls. Yum. My daughter has to have several 1/2 gallons of egg nogg every year. I just found your channel today. Your casseroles look so good.

Although,I your presentation is very good and just looks pretty, i think i would mix my gteen oinions and parsley with the base,,because some people like evrrything already in the dish without it being on top.

Hi Lesa! Half N Half is what a lot of people put in coffee :-) It's a pre-made mixture of half heavy cream and half whole milk. You buy it in the dairy section where milk, heavy cream, and whipped cream are. I hope you got to make the dish!

In uk we call this kind of thing bread and butter pudding,we kinda make marmalade sandwich with bread or brioche add bit of currants or sultanas plenty of cream ,but one big difference is we eat it with custard and as a pudding,

@@scratchmadesimple2274 well i recommend you fly to manchester not london, york chester are the best cities in england not so vast as london and bed and breakfast really cheap,both these cities have race courses and are a good day out for family,food at these events are top knotch,the other nicest town in uk is pretty ludlow our hidden secret,they have a whole town food festival in summer,it is in the castle grounds and main shopping area,home grown and made foods and drinks,plus crafts,tudour buildings are very pretty,þourismism without being in a cattle market,hope your visit materialises,
