It isn't a clone. MK has always been different (and superior in a lot of ways) to Injustice. Besides, slow pace is good because you can actually learn how to read opponents easier.

I do not like darkseids beams though. You can consistently see people inside of the lasers, yet nothing happens. It makes me die a little each time I see red hood stand inside of a big laser of omega beams, yet nothing of it.

sonic wasn't spamming at all, didn't you see how fluid his moves were? i've seen darkseid spammers and they only stay far away and spam the beams while sonic was agressive and kept getting in scar's face.
Look at his shooting though. It was up, side, backwards, up again - all depending on what his opponent was doing. If he was just spamming the same key over and over again, he would have lost - badly - like any zoner would. It was far from the same move over and over again, unlike what you try and imply it was; and he mixed it up close and was agro a few times outside of just throwing in. Teleport/stomp into combo was a common thing to see. But if you doubt SF has skill to beat anyone with a melee character, or without zoning major character - you haven't been paying attention to the most revered player in MK or Injustice for years.

Have you even seen Black Adam or Firestorm? And most Darkseids I've seen aren't even that bad of spammers. Deadshots are usually worse.
