I'm currently redoing the interior in my 96 impala and watching your video helped me disassemble my dash. I was able to disassemble it with no problems! You got a new subscriber and thanks for your help!
Looking good as new! For the residue on your glass try using steam. Tint shops used a steam pad to remove old tint. Also try using windex, it has worked for me in the past with remove some tint ,but not all.
Agreed. I used heat gun for the thick residue. But found that leaving the car in the sun really helped. Windex left on over night worked for great for me too!! Good luck!!
Ammonia and a razor blade will take that glue off. GoofOff also. A rag is going to leave residue on your glass. I got a 96 DCM that I'm in the process of swapping also. It was a little rough. If you have any interior parts, I'm interested. Door cards, dash pad. Perhaps I'll post the progress too. Good job and good luck.
To remove the old glue tint i used just windex and a razor . Home depot has the razor with handles.. Now the back window you have be to be careful not to scrape of the defrost strips.
Also i still wish to see you do the harness merging using the stock fuse box video.. Thats the last thing i have left for my swap . Im so hesitant about it.. Ive started lol.. Each day i come home from work and look at it all layed out and then shake my head then start doing something ( iM scared lol) I have a stand alone for my Ls and a extra 96 harness ...
if I get the opportunity to do another impala, I'll make a detailed video on merging the too harness together because that's something people keep asking about. If you need help locating diagrams, let me know and I'll show you what links I used.
@@BravosGarage1 yes sir i would be thankful if you can pass on the diagrams..or what ever that will make this the easiest .. yeah I've already been looking on lt1 swap but ..... i just wish i could see some one do it for our cars... You can find everything else but that lol
Spray ammonia on glass then wrap with black bags. I know the rubber buffer we use when patching tires takes glue off. Last resort would be steel wool or razor blades. Are u selling parts off that car still?
I heard about ammonia and steel wool working. I tried looking for some ammonia based cleaner but everything at the part store was ammonia free. what parts are you looking for?
You put in aome major work.

@@BravosGarage1 thanks my friend I think this is what I really needed.
That glue from old window tint would come out with ammonia and a good sharp razor😎
