Because Maddie is more famous so they don't name drop Mackenzie. But they will always drop Dance Moms and Sia. They have to keep it as relevant to as many viewers as possible. Most people who didn't watch Dance Moms don't know Mackenzie so it's just some random cute kid until you bring up Maddie

You guys are mean! Mackenzie has pretty much always been in maddies shadow and felt bad about it and now she’s finally breaking out of the shadows and being her self and getting LOADS of opportunity’s for herself and you just ripped that away from her by bringing Maddie in it. Poor Kenz.

the viewers might not know who she is though and tune out. IF you didn't watch Dance Moms then she's not that big a name. But they are more likely to be able to remember Maddie and then pay more attention to this interview

Cringe. That’s just wrong. One rule I would’ve said is: “don’t be afraid to be an individual.” And then I would proceed to say, “I didn’t know Maddie was scheduled for this interview! I used to hqte Maddie and Mackenzie but when i hear her songs i love them i see now why i needed to stop saying things about Maddie and Mackenzie
the reason he talks about maddie is that she has 0 claim to fame. she was the cute one on dance moms and she has a couple songs that nobody apart from dance moms fans and young teenagers know about. usually its seen as extremely arrogant to get a bio out before you do anything noteworthy with a career anyway.
