  • It is very difficult to come across an Airsoft gun that replicates the real steel version to a t. It is literally impossible, but you can get really close. This is exactly what Inokatsu did with their latest GBB Pistol. They have finally reared away from their 1911s and tried something new with their fully licensed Sig Sauer P226 and Tim couldn’t wait to tell you all about it.

    Are the manufacturers retarded or something?
    $1290.00... The real one costs less then that...
    Why would you buy an Airsoft gun when you can get the real deal and have more fun at the range?
    If you guys ever hold a P226 Real Steel then an airsoft version even made by Tokyo, KWC, etc. They all feel pretty much alike. You REALLY don't have to go overboard by buying this.

    • @machonacho95
      @machonacho95 9 лет назад +8

      ***** Neither of those arguments validate this over a KJW, KWA, KSC, TM, or the WE versions though.
      The "can't shoot people with it", and the "not legal in some countries" arguments are not valid in this case, as the head question is "why choose this over and of the other very reasonable solutions?"

    • @lagstyre

  • @AlienPball

    So I thought this would be a good gun to go along with my ICS Sig 551. But then I saw that this costs twice as much as the 551, an so I died a little on the inside. I get the feeling that this thing probably costs around $250 USD to make, so why they charge so much is beyond me.

    • @arkurtzproductions
      @arkurtzproductions 9 лет назад +5

      Casual Alien Not quite. Inokatsu is kinda like the Spyker of airsoft gun manufacturers. Everything that they make is limited order and "hand-crafted." The quality is unreal and every little detail is there. If its metal, its CNC'ed for precision. If it is plastic, its the highest quality polymer that's able to be used. Also, other countries don't exactly get to have handguns like the United States do, so this is around as close as it gets to the real thing, and people who can't get the real thing will dish out large sums of cash for the next best thing. That's why you don't see anyone with them in the US.

    • @redwolfairsoft
      @redwolfairsoft  9 лет назад

      +Yul Hubbart The KWC P226 is made from molded die cast metal like you find in matchbox cars. It's good enough for skirmish and beginners. But the seasoned collectors want STEEL and they want CNC. Different people look for different things. Some people are happy with a Casio watch, while others want a Rolex. Both do the same thing...but different materials and different design / build is where the cost difference lies.

    No matter how realistically it looks and feels, $1,300.00 is way too expensive for anything that you can't even feel the confidence to use for a self defense alternative. Just as most others mentioned, you can purchase a real Sig Sauer 226 for half of what it would cost to purchase a replica airsoft bb gun you cannot use as an alternative self defense weapon... There's no justification for such a price tag.

    For that price I could buy a good used P226 and a decent airsoft version too. probably cash to spare for bullets and bb's.
    I know it takes work to make a slide from steel, and get the machining process just perfect... but seriously? they could have kept the price down by using MiM parts, lesser quality steel, and a different aluminum alloy.
    400-500 would be reasonable.

The Airsoft replica should as least be the same price if not less than the real steel.

      Julio Arata Not when they only make a few. SIG have made hundreds of thousands of P series pistols - Inokatsu have set up tooling to make a handful. The cost has to be high to make any profit. It seems excessive but there are people out there who happily pay this kind of money for these rare, nearly hand-build pistols.

    Why would you buy this if you can get a real sig p226 for this price???

    • @ApurtureSci

      Jay Kim Because not everyone can. Maybe in the US, but in Japan (plus other Asian countries) and the UK, you can't just go down to a gun store and buy a pistol. It's virtually impossible to get a handgun here in England, so your choices for a collection would be a deactivated SIG, which can easily cost over $1000 (even a Deactivated, Gen 4 Glock costs £700/$1000, you can see how inflated prices are) or a custom built replica that you can actually shoot. It's a lot of money but people will buy them.

      Jay Kim Be thankful we live in a FREE country and can buy real guns. Support the NRA so you are never forced to by an overpriced toy.

      SemperFiMac77 Indeed. Proud NRA member here. Right now I am looking at buying 5 acres out in the country a bit (currently stuck in the suburbs paying $20 per indoor range session.) That way I can just walk out in my backyard, set up some targets, and start shooting. That's real freedom right there :)

    The hole in your wallet from buying this gun is as close as you can get to the hole in your wallet you get from shooting it with the real steel version.

    It's cheaper to get a gun safety course certificate, FID card and buy a real P226 compared to the $1300 airsoft pistol. Seriously, this is a joke. I got a good KJW from RW airsoft for under 150 plus another magazine, including shipping.
