I like how they specifically mention at every turn "Don't get in over your head" "Don't take risks" "Safety is more important than progress" and then in the second mission they reveal that the SCP director of the station has a reputation of being an "eccentric thrill seeker" and did not only not get fired, but replaced a guy that was fired previously, which implies there was someone even worse in the leadership position before.
Funny part is the irony in that. Just like with the king, sacrificed and killed and was replaced and then the next king was sacrificed and then the next. Both the king of the director’s were poor leaders or unworthy for their positions

Getting a job for the scp by some random guy approaching you in a coffee shop truly is the epitome of a coffee shop au. The fact that everyone working at the foundation is both qualified and hot is just proof.
I like the segment with the chatrooms where everyone is discussing the casual events that usually take place at this top-secret area, and then you have Stewart talking about Rick and Morty like he's some sort of fucking Reddit moderator.

rock and mickey is stuarts way of coping with the horrors he has witnessed at the foundation. he avoids discussing his work at the foundation and uses humor to distract himself from his job

This is a very impressive way to show SCPs, but it's also clear they were stretched thin and focused on storytelling and visuals over gameplay, but generally with SCP I think that is the right way to go, SCP tends to go crazy imaginative in a way that can't be very well matched to gameplay, although I would still avoid quick time events and puzzles which straight up show you their own solutions

@@lucascastro2802 Linear walking sims with just scripts and no mechanics is the worst you can get and is often why most horror games are usually garbage, much like RE7 for example Dunno generic shooters are something I usually see as "your usual unity garbage" xD Would be fun if we'd have a game like this (effort, visuals, story) but with proper mechanics from the other game where you escape, the random elements of it made it fun as well as the different mechanics of the scps. Cause otherwise you might as well can just watch a movie, you are not doing much else really.

For anyone doubting the quality of this game (i know no one asked): I honestly really love the art direction and how the devs worked around the confines of their capabilities. For example, no models move their mouth in this entire stream, they're either images of people's PFP or body (usually criminally hot), in a dark lit room, in a hazmat suit, or representing the memories of a girl in the form of little yellow lights. The genre of this game is very... strange (the best way to put it) and it reminds me of Sally Face in that respect. There are issues like audio balancing, pacing with the stories, and the illusion of choice but overall considering their budget they worked off of, this team made something pretty dang good.
i might be misremembering but I think the devs stated that this was also their first game? they are an indie company pushing their first title so with that in mind im all for cutting the devs some slack for what faults did exist. I also appreciate that they took the SCP "genre" (not sure what else to refer it as) to be beyond just escape the spooky facility and show that the scp universe(s) cover all sorts of stories
The game being a anthology of SCPs is a fun idea and a good opportunity to bring some discreet or unheard of SCP into the limelight (seriously, theres so fucking many, its absurd) just the writing felt everything *but* SCP, felt like it needed to some retakes on some lines or straight up calm down some section (the doctor goin YOU ARE GOIN TO DIE RUN, in a group that their sole job is to contain the fucking scary thing came out weird)

Even the poor and awkward interactions between the doctor and the portraited NPCs before that got overshadowed by it, and those were also noticeably bad...

I love when characters have a fundamental lack of common sense, despite how meticulous the SCP foundation is supposed to be!!! I LOVE when adaptions don't realize what makes the original story interesting, but cover up their homogenized blandness with high production value!!! I LOVE games that are too padded to be an animation, but too linear to be a game!!!

Who else would have authorized an assault on the Giants in order to help the dragons? I mean, Here Be Dragons is such a tragic and heartwarming story. If I were apart of the 05 Council, then I would have sent in several MTFs after widening the gateway enough for vehicles to go through and made sure to establish an outpost in Fantasy.
It is basically a whole knew world to explore and if our's should be under threat of something we cannot stop, Then Fantasy would be our best bet! We already have friends in that world and they look kindly upon us.
Depends on what they do I know some cases they can use amnestics to wipe memory if they are still early in but that probably also depends on how deep your knowledge goes those who say they are here to protect are usually the villains…
