Looked like silk had a problem there at the end with his car. His LR brake rotor was lit up and it was breaking loose pretty much every corner, and he could barely control it coming to the checkered.

Give and take in play tonight.
Give a hard shot and expect to take a hard shot in return.

I'd much rather watch all the cars follow each other around the track 1 by 1... oh wait... Idiots saying this wasn't good racing! They need slapped, and I'm a dirt track fan!

I will always love the mods. But the series really needs to start policing non competitive cars. One car finished 21 laps down, involved in no incidents. Take out caution laps, that’s being lapped every 10 laps or less. To put it in perspective that’s every 2.5 miles- the leaders would lap them in less than a lap at Daytona or talladega.

You watched this and THAT's the conclusion you draw? Disregard the demolition derby for the lead (it's not racing, period. Passing requires patience, precision, and skill. There's a reason it's not easy, especially in mods. Plus, it's unsafe.), yet focus on cars you acknowledge are not involved in incidents. Your comparison to Daytona or Talladega has ZERO relevance to these cars.
Even at its worst a decade or two ago, modified racing never had this obvious and intentional knocking. Sure, there were a few drivers who did it, e.g. Jimmy Spencer, Ted Christopher, but this style was far more tame and less frequent. What talent does it take to just not let off going into the turn and slamming into the back of the car in front of you? (It's a rhetorical question, by the way, but for purposes of my point, the answer matches your Daytona/Talladega comparison: ZERO.)
Policing for rough riding rank at the top of list for the mods. Lap cars who evidently are meeting a minimum speed and neither cause nor are a part of incidents do not appear on the list.

@mikelavin9704 You read my comment and that conclusion is what you draw? FYI I watched the entire race, and the entirety of every race this season. When the same cars are so far off the pace they affect the race outcome (see: Oswego), then yes. The race officials need to police minimum speed better and remove incapable cars/drivers. The rest of your diatribe makes zero sense to my comment.

@mikelavin9704 Now to reply to the rest of your comment. Yes, the racing crossed the line and has been increasingly between the two through the season. But on a track like this it’s also to be expected when you have a car bring lapped every 10 laps, and another every 12 laps. In reality it means the leaders are passing one of the two every 6-8 laps. That leaves no time to set up and execute passes. The fact the slow cars weren’t in incidents doesn’t mean they didn’t effect the race. And my talladega/Daytona comparison absolutely is relevant. This is a 1/4 mile track, and they’re being lapped every 2.5-3 miles in distance. Which means they would be lapped in less than a lap at the big tracks. That’s how far off the pace they are. It’s not a good look on the series. It’s slowly turning into arca.

@@onethumbks There are two separate issues: minimum speed of slower cars and rough riding. I see your issue, just find it to be, by your own admission, i.e. not involved in incidents, an issue of very low priority.
My statements on rough riding may be a "diatribe", but you don't even address them substantively. Should there be penalties? Is it actually racing?, etc.
I hope you don't function this way at work and with others. You just ignore issues others bring up, so they don't matter? You have watched every race and found bumping like this not to be a problem?
No need to address this further. I understand. Two very different interpretations of the same information, with different priorities.
Just try in the future to address someone else's issues or questions by discussing them. I know ignoring/whataboutism provides solace for most people today, but labeling something you don't find important or do not want to discuss as a "diatribe" does not persuade anybody.

@mikelavin9704 It’s because your comment had nothing to do with mine and you began with a condescending attitude. Hence my snippy response . It would be like if I commented the clouds are gorgeous today, and you said open your eyes dummy, the earth is round. Yes, we’re both talking about earth, but they’re unrelated topics. And yes, I did address the areas you commented on in the second reply. Just try in the future to read someone’s thoughts and stay on topic, or form your own opinion as a completely new topic. For what it’s worth, I would’ve generally agreed with your comment, had you not started with a condescending tone (THAT’s what you took out of it?) I hope you’re not this way at work and are able to stay on topic.
