I'm Norwegian too and this ranking is almost as if I had made it myself, I agree with so many of your comments! I too am very disappointed in our own Elsa. No hate or disrespect towards Lisa Stokke as an artist but she just doesn't suit the voice of a young Norwegian royal character in her early-mid 20's at all. And that's actually my opinion about Idina Menzel as well, although I do respect and aknowledge the fact that she is the original Elsa and she's for sure a very talented singer in her own right, she just doesn't sound age appropriate at all imo. But I do agree that it's fantastic that we now have Marianne Pentha giving us an amazing Northern Sami Elsa and she fits the bill perfectly! Crossing fingers for more Northern Sami dubs in the future, for a third "Frozen" movie or just for future Disney movies in general. It's just really cool how Disney has started dubbing their movies in some minority languages lately (like with the Tahitian, Maori and Hawaiian "Moana" dubs) and I hope this is something they will continue to do in the future to keep these langauges alive and make people from other countries aware of them. And I've always loved the Swedish and Danish Elsas, so happy there are two Scandinavian Elsas at least that always deliver! Great video, you just earned yourself a new subscriber! :)

One of the most interesting rankings I've watched for a while. Plus, your editing is simple, yet beautiful. Many of these voices are fine, but don't fit Elsa, her face or age that well. On the other hand, this vid made me appreciate many voices I had for some reasons ignored before. Lisa is indeed one of the worst "original country"-voices. It's safe to say that I was a little nervous of Katja's placement since she is so much better in the sequel so she would probably be difficult to rank. If I made a ranking, (which I won't because I don't have skills and Elsa has so many voices I would have no idea how to put them in order) she would probably be somewhat higher, since she's my country's official voice and I've gotten used to her unique sound. All in all, I'm happy to see her this high, since in many rankings she's quite low. Great to see you appreciate Lithuanian, Estonian and the second Kazakh. I completely agree with your comment about Sami and I'm happy to see her this high. When it comes to Idina, I like her more in speaking parts. There's nothing wrong with her voice, on the contrary, but singing-wise I can't shake the "Broadway-vibe" and that kind of ruins her connection to Elsa to me. Annika, Serena and Nesma are the voices that have remained marvelous in both films, I just adore them. Willemijn is a little too perfect Elsa for me, it's almost frustrating! *laughs* But she has certainly deserved this place. It is so cool to see an Elsa ranking from you! Loved it! Was quite afraid for French when you started saying you were not fan of cute voices x) so I was pleasantly surprised, but also quite astonished, since she seems "only" good to you and yet she's quite high, above other versions you commented as loved ones! But I'm not gonna complain here ^^
When I was done editing I was quite surprised myself. I think I’ve gotten to used to the French version that it’s sort of become nostalgic to me. I she brought something to Elsa, and her power is wonderful. I will admit, she was very hard to place.

Well, I agree with some of comments with you but I hardly disagree with most of the places you gave to the versions. Of course it's because our "perfect Elsa" is different. And of course I respect it's your own opinion. Nevertheless I wouldn't be able to make Elsa ranking from Frozen 1 and 2 too. For me most of the singers did so different in each movie, for example i didn't like Lithuanian if F1 bit in F2 she is one of my favorite on the other hand I really loved Anika in F1 and I am not fancy listening to her in F2. Firstly I want to clarify something: The Albanian dubs of Frozen & Moana *ARE* official TV dubs, approved by Disney, just like Kazakh, Indonesian, Hindi & Tagalog in this case. They are lower productions compared to the cinema dubs for sure, but their status is what matters. The previous Albanian dubs yes, they are unofficial just like Persian. Then about the ranking; it's amazing as always! We disagree a lot in some points but I enjoyed this one so much anyway, the comments are just beautiful. So glad to see Portuguese, Sami & Arabic that high 💖 Maria 💖
Awesome editing :D When it comes to places, here we go (it got kinda lengthy XD): 54th - kinda expected, she's not bad, but I have issues with her AS ELSA too, like weren't there more suitable voices for Elsa? I have a very similar issue with Icelandic, maybe even worse as her voice on Elsa is just annoying for me... 53rd - you've written pretty much all I think about Lisa except the "my version" thing ;) 44th place - okay, here we go again XD I see why people usually put her low, I just don't really agree ;) 10th place - well, when it comes to Marsha I wonder how she'd sound in ITU and SY and 'till I hear that I can't be sure what to think of her exactly - her LIG is too much of Marsha singing a pop song to be top fave, but later in the sequels she's much more in character... 9th place - Yeah, totally can't wait for more dubs from that language :D Both sisters are amazing IMO and I ask one big WHY? Disney didn't allow for a dub back in 2013... 8th - Idina as Elsa and me is a messy story, I still kinda wonder what they were thinking back then... Hey great ranking et great editing :D :D Great you include all Elsa's voices, I should do the same and reflect again to it because of some improvements in the 2nd movie (like English or Finnish for example) :) Thank you for your good places for the French voices, actually even if I love Anaïs, I think I start to enjoy more Charlotte for being sightly more special and less like the other cute French Disney Princess voices :) Yeaaah same n°1 and I was so glad she didn't loose her charisma in the 2nd movie :D
Loved the video, the comments are so interesting to read and the editing is simple but I like it. We share a lot of favourites, maybe the only voices I'd place higher are Croatian, Greek (Sìa😍) and Castilian. And we share the lower places as well: Taryn is, IMO, a real good singer, but she just doesn't fit the character, movies and atmosphere, but I still like to listen to her songs separately. On the other hand Lisa IS a bad singer, and her voice is too weak for the character🙄, so I fully dislike her (and it's a pity since Norway usually chooses amazing voice actors). Anyway your first places are mine, too, just in a different order.

I loved your detailed comments, I can perfectly understand where you are coming from in most cases although we have completely different tastes (for the most part, although we do share some faves like Hye Na and Marianne). I've never been able to imagine Elsa with a big voice, I've always preferred softer yet not meek, clear voices for her. She's always been hiding herself so a singer with a powerful voice never sat right with me, main reason why I'd put Idina, Carmen, and Serena (among a few others) lower, I can't connect them to the character. If it's based on singing abilities of course they are among the better of the bunch, I just can't see them as Elsa. To be honest the only placement that really hurt me was Shennio, she's my sweetheart and my soft spot. I like the new Taiwanese Mandarin voice too, and the new voices in general, but Shennio and Brandy were better and more special. Also I loved seeing Girmante getting some love, I feel like she understands Elsa really well
I love your description of Elsa, and I think it makes sense that she would have a softer sound due to her insecurity. I suppose I like the powerful voices because of the songs structure. When I her "Let it Go" and "Show Yourself" I don't want that meek sound. But I completely understand where you're coming from. Thank you so much for your comment, I love hearing others opinions.

And in my opinion that's what makes Elsa so hard to rank, at least it would be for me if I ever made a ranking haha The songs are totally made for Idina, so a powerful voice always works really well in them. But the disparity of what suits the songs better and what I like in Elsa makes it so hard for me to make up my mind! My opinion... I have no opinion, I barely know these voices. 😂 I believe your number 1 was very obvious, I mean she is the Snow Queen who else can beat her? She fantastic. All of your top 10 is fantastic to be honest. We share the same thoughts about Sia. She has that characteristic voice which perfect for not a Disney princess. On stage she shines as in more theatrical roles.

Thank you for your good places for the French voices, actually even if I love Anaïs, I think I start to enjoy more Charlotte for being sightly more special and less like the other cute French Disney Princess voices :)

Loved the video, the comments are so interesting to read and the editing is simple but I like it.
We share a lot of favourites, maybe the only voices I'd place higher are Croatian, Greek (Sìa😍) and Castilian.
And we share the lower places as well: Taryn is, IMO, a real good singer, but she just doesn't fit the character, movies and atmosphere, but I still like to listen to her songs separately.
On the other hand Lisa IS a bad singer, and her voice is too weak for the character🙄, so I fully dislike her (and it's a pity since Norway usually chooses amazing voice actors).
Anyway your first places are mine, too, just in a different order.
I'm french and i think Charlotte is better than Anaïs, younger and with more emotions but your top 5 is awesome 💜👏

I loved your detailed comments, I can perfectly understand where you are coming from in most cases although we have completely different tastes (for the most part, although we do share some faves like Hye Na and Marianne).
I've never been able to imagine Elsa with a big voice, I've always preferred softer yet not meek, clear voices for her. She's always been hiding herself so a singer with a powerful voice never sat right with me, main reason why I'd put Idina, Carmen, and Serena (among a few others) lower, I can't connect them to the character. If it's based on singing abilities of course they are among the better of the bunch, I just can't see them as Elsa.
To be honest the only placement that really hurt me was Shennio, she's my sweetheart and my soft spot. I like the new Taiwanese Mandarin voice too, and the new voices in general, but Shennio and Brandy were better and more special.
Also I loved seeing Girmante getting some love, I feel like she understands Elsa really well
I love your description of Elsa, and I think it makes sense that she would have a softer sound due to her insecurity. I suppose I like the powerful voices because of the songs structure. When I her "Let it Go" and "Show Yourself" I don't want that meek sound. But I completely understand where you're coming from.

Yeah absolutely! And in my opinion that's what makes Elsa so hard to rank, at least it would be for me if I ever made a ranking haha
The songs are totally made for Idina, so a powerful voice always works really well in them. But the disparity of what suits the songs better and what I like in Elsa makes it so hard for me to make up my mind!
Still I agree with you, I want softer voices but not meek or whiny ones haha the difference might be subtle but it's there.

I believe your number 1 was very obvious, I mean she is the Snow Queen who else can beat her? She fantastic. All of your top 10 is fantastic to be honest.
We share the same thoughts about Sia. She has that characteristic voice which perfect for not a Disney princess. On stage she shines as in more theatrical roles.
