Wow I wish social workers around here had hearts like u u are an angel no one wants to help my tiny family after losing place due to hurricane ian. 😔 school starts Monday and I have gas leak in car and I've called everyone and anyone and it being super hot here no way can sleep in suv with gas leak I almost went to hospital 3 times last few weeks over carbon monoxide poisoning I don't know what to do no help here and I'm just exhausted calling and being sent right back to sane place I've been on waitlist for rapid rehousing after hurricane. Hotels finally went down to 500 a week but I can't afford that every week. And I need to check out in morning I don't know what to do 😢 I'm still not giving up most people thi k I'm lying because I am clean and my son looks well taken care of and clean. I get told this alot. I also coupon for what we need. Thank the lord 🙏 🙌 you are an angel and anyone else that helps 🙏 ❤
Some of my family and friends think I am crazy for couponing. I've learned to stop sharing that I a couponer. My brothers think it is a massive waste of time. I have been able to save so much money on personal items, household goods, and snacks that it has made an impact on my monthly budget. I never have to worry about running out of products. If money is super tight due to an unexpected medical bill or car maintenance, I can just stop spending almost entirely and wait out the storm. Also a weekly and monthly budget is a must! Be patient. If you miss a deal, it'll be back, and there will be others!
Yes, hard times are here in CA. I stocked piled a lot of staples like sugar, flour, rice, etc. When we had those booster last year at Walgreens I stocked up on pasta sauce, sugar and coffee. I think people need to be creative when using their rewards or store money on food, water and meds. Just get stuff you need. My friend gives me eggs and I give her laundry supplies. It's okay to barter with friends. Be creative and smart.
I saw the latest vid by Deals by DesignerJen on here. Her husband had worked for Walgreens in a warehouse for 1 day shy of 19 years. He got laid off 4 months ago and still has not found a job. Needless to say that was a shock and a huge change to that family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
100% agree. I share with my mom, my daughter, my niece, and my assistant at work regularly. Outsidre if that I give freebies that we all don't use to my other daughter's school where there are a lot of families with much more need than I am blessed to not have. I also send big care packages to family in Cuba where they can't even get products even if they have the money to spend! It works for me and I am definitely stocking up because money is super tight. Couponing is the best thing I have learned in the last 5 years hands down.
I agree 100% I'm doing everything I can to make sure me, my kids, and grandkids have what we need even though my health isn't good there are many times I have to drag myself out to do the deals but knowing I'm taking care of the ones I love helps me to push forward

I recently saw on the news that a local piggly wiggly was closing and marking everything 50 percent off. I went shopping, and it was true. I found many staple items, most had a long shelf date, so I purchased several things.

It's going to get nasty, recession is brewing. A lot of companies are laying off people. It's 2008 but a whole worse. I visit a grocery store salvage store and it was packed at 10:00 AM, I remember a time a few years ago I was the only one who n the store. People are trying to feed a family as grocery prices have doubled in the past 3 and half years.

I think hard times are coming. I started reselling to friends early in 2020 when my hubs was laid off (just before the world exploded. I didn't realize it was, really because our world was already in upheaval), and I still do it. I have a couple of people who will ask me. I have my "never pay more than", and that's what I charge them. But I try to get what I paid lower than that. Usually my 'never pay more than" is about the price after coupon, but I'll work it into a spend deal, so I have some margin. The other thing is: I do this because I have a large family, and I can't afford not to. However, even with a large family, I end up with more than we need. So I don't mind selling some of my extra to people who appreciate the effort. We also just got to take a bunch of stuff to a Mother's refuge drive as a part of my daughters' choir concert. I found their amazon wish list, and pulled what I had downstairs that would fill some of those wishes.
I love your videos and appreciate you sharing that it's okay to say no. I've been practicing that but I don't like to be cornered by family and friends so I limit communication.
I agree that hard times are coming and for many they are already here. My sister who worked in the medical field lost her job 2 months ago. People around me are ill , some have long covid. My dad passed from cancer and my mom passed as well. We barely found a buyer for their home. People need to plan ahead and take care of their loved ones now more than ever.
My Rite aid closed quite a while back. Remember back then I think we all watched Michelle’s Frugal Living. It could be a great time to get rid of what you’ve already stocked up on. I’ve got enough for years.

I have the same feeling. I went to Biglots on Thursday, and I was sad. Bigots used to be Pennysaver and now bl is closing. I watched the employees' faces, it was so hard to watch, they lost their jobs. We we demand income increases, the people in these positions will get hit the first, then managers, then administrators, not the owners. They have been making ridiculous income for yrs. So hang on tight, it's coming.
I think the hard times have started and are only gonna get worse...grocery prices are the key indicator...so many skills are lost everyone needs to have a garden and then know what to do with the stuff they grow...the entire world is crazy at the moment ...couponing allows me to stockpile and then I can concentrate on other needed things...

Housing and food prices keep going up, but jobs and pay are not. Store closures are everywhere you turn. The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. I don’t think we’re headed for recession. I think we’re actually already there… my stockpile on groceries is so slim that if I got stuck at my house for longer than three days I’d starve Not only should we be looking at what our stock piles look like for necessity items, laundry cleaning, cleaning healthcare items and the like we should also be making sure we have enough groceries I can’t believe I let my food stocks get this low it’s that really can’t afford it right now…. I work in the food service industry. At least I have five hot meals a week that is one advantage the other two days a week I managed to get something nutritious, but I really feel like I need six months actual substance in my house Better to be prepared and not need it and be caught with your pants around your ankles

I was so sad when the Riteaid i worked at previously closed this year 😔 it was my closest & fav location to coupon at. There’s a senior living facility right behind it & alot of them would get their prescriptions there for decades until they closed☹️ idk just really sad to see soo many stores closing. Every week its more big names annoucing closures.
