How could nick say he can’t think of an instance management wanted to break up a dynasty? The last dance was all about that lol the GM wanted Phil out thus pushing Jordan out which gave pippin 0 incentive to stay they didn’t all just decide to leave lol
Nick is way off here, to the point that he's making stuff up. The Bulls ownership without a doubt split MJ's Bulls up. They weren't done and wanted to stay together, ownership was done with them. They refused to resign Phil Jackson which they knew meant Jordan was going to leave.
It amazes me that a dude can get a max deal, not play for 2.5 years, and want to be taken care of even when he sucks in the times they need him most (most recent playoffs). New contracts are paid for past production AND future potential. Nobody is giving Klay 4 for $100 now and he wasn’t worth that a year ago. Warriors are just as good if not better right now but with deals that give them more flexibility. That’s just good business.
“He sucks?” The guy who had 18 PPG at 39% from three? That’s what you think is the definition of sucks? I think you GSW fans are a little bit spoiled…. You realize that the playoffs in ‘23 he shot better from three-point line than Curry did, right?
@@SDesWriter so are you saying he played well in the 23 playoffs? Are you saying he played better than Curry in the 23 playoffs? I have heard nobody on tv, RUclips or comments say he actually played well in the playoffs. Is that your position?
@@SDesWriter Notice I said he "sucked when they needed him most." vs Celtics he average 17.3, 3 rb, 2 ast, 35% FG, 35% 3pt FG. Nobody said anything because they won. But I saw what happened. Wiggins saved them. Lakers - 16.2pts, 34% FG, 37% 3pt, 2.3 ast, 3.9 rb. Sacramento - 0-10 shooting. STATS DON'T LIE!!! HE sucked when they needed him most.
Why would they give him a deal after the 22 season? He came back super late into the season coming off two major injuries we had no clue how he would play out we had to see a full season to see how big the drop off would be…
@@caleblawrence7105 draymond at this stage is more important then Klay… he’s the anchor and the leader of the defense not to mention he also runs point and runs the offense
Y’all are missing the point. The season he came back he helped them win their 4th. It ain’t like he came back and did nothing, it ain’t like this season he scored 10ppg on 38% shooting. HE SCORED 18PPG ON 40% SHOOTING FROM 3. ANYONE IN THE NBA WOULD GIVE A 4 TIME CHAMPION THAT WAS PART PF THEIR DYNASTY A CONTRACT, PERIOD. “Oh they needed to let go of them to get someone better” who ? Buddy hield ? He ain’t better than klay. “Oh lauri they are trying to get him” how ? If they want to keep the young core they overpaid how are they getting lauri without giving up the young core ? They messed up, they low balled him to try to be better when being better wasn’t yet guaranteed. Do y’all even know anything about basketball ? 18ppg on 40% shooting from 3 isn’t easy to get for 20 million a year, what are y’all even saying
Bulls were broken up when Jordan said he wasn’t playing for another coach. The GM said we aren’t bringing the coach back even if they won the title. Bulls intentionally moved on because they didn’t want to pay folks and their GM ego.
Nick is being disingenuous. Jerry Krauss broke up the dynasty by not bringing Phil back even though Jordan had already said if he leaves that I'm leaving. It still comes back then please believe Pippin and Rodman are back as well. Let's be honest here.
Ain’t no way yall think nick is cooking. Brou right 1000%. Paying a luxury tax just to be a play-in team is insane. It’s not like klay gave his money back for those 2 seasons he didn’t play. Yall trippin.
Great debate; GSW didn't counter offer due to zero points in an elimination game couple with 2 years GSW paid Klay to rehabilitate Klay deserved bcuz franchise worth billions dye to 4 rings. Aedin
their mistake was giving draymond 100M/4. if they just gave green 20M, they could've given Thompson what he asked for. The bigger mistake was giving Poole a huge bag
And in 2023 he shot better from the three-point line in the playoffs than Curry did. They won the championships in 2022 with him as their second leading scorer. Kind of think they got some return on that investment.
@@SDesWriter You can think that all you want lol.. the fact of the matter is he played 2.5 seasons and got paid like first option, which was fine. I personally feel Klay should've recognized that and went with a team friendly deal.. He loves to complain that Poole and Draymond got paid, but he got paid first lmaoooo.. And Wiggins was their second best player during that 22 run as he was defending the lead wing for.the other team and having an impact on BOTH ends.. stuff Klay did pre-injuries..
Klay was too busy pocket-watching instead of paying attention to his decline & realize the nba is a business. You already got paid for 2yrs without playing 1 game while rehabbing. Then you come back, decline a decent offer only to stink up the joint & lose your starting position and you expect an offer better than the one you turned down?? You went 0-10 in the most important game of the season! Tf
Nicks take here is genuinely fucking nuts. Nick's take: You gave Draymond a stupid contract, so you need to give Klay a stupid contract as well. Fucking joke.
They have always went on an on about Draymond means to the team, they make it seem like he was more responsible for their success than klay which couldn't be farther from the truth, i understand him feeling that way, Draymond has cost them more than has helped them get. Ill take klay on his worst day over Draymond
wow nick wright disagrees and thinks the warriors did klay wrong even tho anyone with an objective opinion could see they didn’t owe him shit. imagine my shock
how does nick wright have enough energy to cry every single day about nonsense, i wish i could get paid to whine and talk over people when they try to speak
It all worked out for the best. Golden State is able to do a partial rebuild, porn and Dallas team who just made it to the finals is able to add a 20 point scorer (along with two defensive players who are better shooters than the people they’re replacing).
LeBron should retire and use his billions to start another pro basketball league. That would be cool to see the players tell the owners screw you and do it themselves.
What dynasty? A dynadty is when one teams wins multiple rings in a short with a common thread of core players. The core was gifted a ring by the cavs in 2015 and then the core changed in 2017. Without Durant, the little 3 only has 1 fluke ring. No durant, no wiggins (the real 2022 fmvp). The warriors especially weren't a dynasty because their last 3 rings were bought.

That’s what I was thinking about
You can also say the same with why lebron left. They wouldnt add pieces in cleveland fr.

Exactly. How stupid is Broussard to show them as an example of a team who’s players wanted to all move on.

2.5 seasons to be precise as he returned in 22 around the AS break

I believe they are gonna live to regret this move. They gave draymond his deal
Klay was definitely worth it
The bulls did this in 98
The Celtics problem was Reggie Lewis died also and then they fell straight to the bottom.
I think they handled it perfectly and I’m glad they didn’t do anything else.

I'm not sure I buy the logic that since the warriors overpaid for Green and overpaid for poole, they should then overpay for Klay.
