    this was great; loved seeing the man assisting in leading the dance, and I learned another step my hula halau did not teach me! ;)

    i learned Kawelu is to the sides and Kalakaua is to the front, timed from the reintroduction of hula by King Kawika K. at his corronation;
    i also learned that akau is right side and hema is left side
    this was in Honolulu in the 1970x and 1980sl
