this was great; loved seeing the man assisting in leading the dance, and I learned another step my hula halau did not teach me! ;)
Love this, I finally have learnt some hula! Both awesome, thanks teachers 💖💖💖
Awesome! This was fun and I felt every bit of it in my thighs.
That guy has really got rhythmn in the front of class, great to see simple steps :)
eacht time i revisit i see a catch on to another move...yay!
Very helpful bails practice--thanks!
May I ask, where did they teach this? What state? They are fantastic!
i learned Kawelu is to the sides and Kalakaua is to the front, timed from the reintroduction of hula by King Kawika K. at his corronation; i also learned that akau is right side and hema is left sidethis was in Honolulu in the 1970x and 1980sl
kaholo, hela, ko’aka, ’uwehe, pronounced (oo-weh-heh), lele’uwehe, ’ami ’ākau, ’ami hema, ’ami kūkū, Kawelu, kawelu ne’e, Kalākaua......
