I just love the ost of X4 and X5, they're so cool and catchy but also so apocaliptic sounding and they have this tragic feeling that things are not going to end well for anyone.
I don't care what anyone says, this game was amazing. And it also had the best soundtrack out of the x games. The ending theme is one of the most heartfelt game themes ever composed, ive beaten this game countless times and still keep coming back for more. A great game and a big piece of my childhood. This is where the X series should have ended.

The soundtrack to this game was extraordinarily awesome. What really made this game was the frickin music and yes the gameplay. So much nostalgia in this game made this a perfect ending to the Mega Man X franchise. Yet.....a brutal ending to what started in the beginning to what came back full circle. It should've ended here, but then that be the end of the money. I bet Capcom was like : Well we can't have that. 😆😆😆😆😆 Truly epic!

This should have been the end (at least for the X franchise), although I won't mind a sequel where they explain how X fight while Zero went into stasis, which ultimately lead to the Megaman Zero series.
The thing is all of these have way less views than the x1 ost. By a long shot might I add and the same thing applied to their sales. X1 is easily the best selling game in the franchise while the rest of the games existed
When I play this game I really get the feel that it was meant to be the last one in the series, because everything feels epic, like they've been saving the best for last. The OST is epic, the mechanics are epic, the story is epic, the possible endings are epic... The game is epic! (P.S.: I'm not saying that X6 onwards shouldn't have been made (i love the entire series, yes, including X7))

When I heard it in game for the first time I got out of my bed and started dancing. X5 is slow and tedious but at least the music didn't miss

This game and mega man zero 4 feels similar. They both have erusia colony. similar bosses like squid Adler and tech kraken, the skiver and Pegasolta eclair, Izzy glow and sol titanion, and axle the red and noble mandrago. Both of their final stages has cyberspace(one in zero 4). And zero dies in the ending both in X5 and Zero 4. Not to mention that Esperanto is a remix of zero's opening stage and X5 credits.
Considering that MMX5 was meant to close the X-series, it's not too surprising with the callbacks.
