      Do you truly find peace and happiness through worldly desires? While yes it does give some dopamine, but verily so such feelings are fleeting. True joy comes from peace which is gained through Christ. I suggest you read the Bible and pray more it’ll help with your faith.

    Love the Lord with all your heart with all your soul will all your mind, with all your strength. True love can make you change. True love will not leads to little faith, if your struggling to love don't worry, ask God he will give you strength to love him. People asked John when he was old age, says how to obey God, he said love your God with all your mind and soul and as your brothers and sisters. And they asked him again, he smiles and said the same. Love can cover many. Remember God loves you.

    I have this great fear that if I truly commit 💯 to God He will take away all my fun, and make me miserable. That I won't be able to enjoy life, relationships, humour etc but that it's gonna be restrictive, like a little bit robot, and I'll be overly spiritual and weird. After all, we're supposed to lose our lives, right? I can't even explain it, but I've carried this fear for years while simultaneously trying to stay on God's path and it's gotten be nowhere because I don't have the true faith, which trusts God 100%, no matter what. How can I fix my faulty ideas and follow Him gladly, like the man who found the treasure and sold everything else WITH JOY?
    Thanks for reading ❤

      I understand where you're coming from. I think there are at least a couple things to remember. 1) Sin is bondage, which will ultimately cause us pain. Any pleasures we get from sin is temporary. 2) Jesus came to make us free. I love the verse that says "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Commit to God, and you will have a fuller, joy-filled life. ❤️

      @@GraceBaptistNokomis thank you for a quick reply. Actually, I didn't mean sin (which I know only gives temporary pleasure) but just enjoying life in general, like having clean fun, joking, enjoying relationships with family and friends, books, music, hobbies, watching movies etc. I'm often confused as to what a truly committed to God life looks like, and how much freedom to do those things we actually have. Is there a balance or does Jesus expect us to be so focused on Him and things of eternity that we can no longer enjoy the above?

    • @GraceBaptistNokomis
      @GraceBaptistNokomis  3 месяца назад +5

      I love your heart! This is definitely a good question. All of those things can definitely be part of a life that's glorifying to God. The motivation in which we do things makes all the difference. If we seek to love others the way God has loved us, we can do all sorts of things that are fun, and display His love through us. The example I use with my kids all the time is that if we just play video games all day, it can be sin because it can be a waste of time, and a selfish way to seek entertainment. But if we play video games with others, and encourage them while we play, it can definitely be glorifying to God. The point is that God cares more about the condition of our hearts. God bless you!

    The thumbnail really got me i actually thought Christianity is boring because God didnt let me watch anime not even a single episode (it doesnt contain anything bad) or play genshin impact for even 1 second i got really annoyed by it that it caused me to ignore the Holy Spirit for only a couple hours and its difficult to ignore the Holy Spirit as he always has a way to get me back. I didnt want to miss out on the fun stuff like i wanted to watch a anime movie coming soon in the cinema and then i heard dont go watch it and i was so upset by that it just a football anime i dont get the problem its hard to not have fun in Christianity as i cant read my bible 24/7 i only read for however time i want and it really last longer if i play worship music. I understand the anime and games are worldly but what am i meant to do just stand doing nothing 24/7 and just read my bible only im not saying its a bad thing i just want to do other activities aswell!

    • @GraceBaptistNokomis
      @GraceBaptistNokomis  3 месяца назад

      I think God allows us to do all sorts of fun things like that, as long as we're doing them with the mindset that glorifies him. Instead of acting out of selfishness, enjoy it as a gift from him. And use it as an opportunity to connect with others, maybe spending time with them, and transitioning to encouraging them. God bless you, I love your heart. ❤️

      @@GraceBaptistNokomis I try find it hard to be happy before I watched anime and God never said anything about it I was even obsessed with it and still yet God said nothing. I watched a Christian video about why you shouldn't watch anime I started hearing God say to me more often don't watch it don't watch it yes I do day dream about anime most of the time and I admit it's wrong but the thoughts I think about when it comes to Christ is just constant reminding of Jesus use the power of the Holy Ghost because I'm worried about an intrusive thought getting in the way and I don't want to demonize Christ power that's why I don't think of Jesus that much I still make time for him don't get me wrong this week I tried my best to read my Bible more whenever I felt the desire to pray and I mange to keep the streak but even though I do spend time with God in the secret place God still wants more of my attention even outside of the secret place which I find it quite difficult to think of something about God. Before this video I watched a Video talking about God wants my all and I should give up on thoughts I think of such as anime and games because they are worldly. This made me just wonder what else to do now that all I do is wake up pray go to school watch RUclips, pray, get ready for bed and pray that's basically it no games no anime although I got use to that lifestyle I want something else but there are now alot of barriers in Christianity for fun things. I remember my mind even being tormented when I thought I heard God say don't go on rollercoaster in Disneyland it was my first time there for a school trip and I really wanted to go on it but I couldn't which held my friends back and I felt bad I told my pastor and she told me also God wants me to have fun. Now I'm starting to believe God doesn't want me to have fun and so I'm less happy. Yes I can have reading the word and worship and I do enjoy it but now it just seems like I'm being selfish because it's something that I desire which is fun and many Christian influencer are against Christians having fun. My parents told me I can balance Reading my Bible and playing games for like 30 minutes once a week but even that I still feel weird playing games now because I have been held back from it for so long I felt free when I played games and watched anime it broke this certain chain and I felt it break off my but then I feel bad for doing so then I just go back into what I call being "held captive in Christ" it's not a bad things as there are still rules to follow.

      @@GraceBaptistNokomismy parents suggested spending time with siblings but I do that my playing video games with them but that makes me lukewarm apparently because im balancing games (the world) and God. • @GraceBaptistNokomis
      @GraceBaptistNokomis  3 месяца назад

      There's nothing wrong with playing video games while hanging out with friends and family. In fact, it can be a good thing to do, as you show them you care about them and spend time with them doing the things they enjoy also.

    How can you have freedom from sin, if you remain sinners?

    • @GraceBaptistNokomis
      @GraceBaptistNokomis  Месяц назад

      Freedom from sin is found in Jesus, not in perfection. In other words, we're free from sin because Jesus already died for our sin, not because we suddenly stopped sinning (although we certainly want to rejoice in the salvation that we have in Jesus).

    • @jacobtack2258
      @jacobtack2258 Месяц назад

      @@GraceBaptistNokomis That is double standards and hypocritical.
      So you are a sinner, and believe the Messiah lives in you. Yet He does not dwell with darkness:
      1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and are not doing the truth.
      1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of יהושע Messiah His Son cleanses us from all sin.
      He tells us to be perfect, but you disagree with our Messiah? Is He lying?
      Mat 5:48 “Therefore, be perfect, as your Father in the heavens is perfect.
      This He said, just after He taught the Torah/Commands. That would strongly suggest that we are made perfect in obeying His Commands, in order for Him to live in us!
      Jesus is NOT the Hebrew Messiah of the Bible. Because His followers disobeys His Word and done away with the Covenant YHWH made with His children.
      Yahusha is the Hebrew Messiah who came in the Father's Name and Jesus is the Greek false messiah who came in his own name. This is Scriptural....
      Joh 5:43 “I have come in My Father’s Name and you do not receive Me, if another comes in his own name, him you would receive.
      You can NOT e a sinner and be saved.
      1Jn 3:6 Everyone staying in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has neither seen Him nor known Him.
      1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
      1Jn 3:8 The one doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil.
      The only way to be saved is with Yahusha living in you, and so by His power we overcome sin and death.
      BY loving Him and obeying Him, we receive His and the Father's Spirit to live in us, and the devil/sin flees from you.
      Joh 14:23 יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.
      If you love Him you WILL obey His commands. Obedience to His Word is the evidence of your love for Him!
      Joh 14:15 “If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.
      HalleluYAH!!!
