Looks like the dramatic tension in this movie is the contrast between Bo Peep and Forky. One was made to be a toy and no longer wants to be. One wasn't made to be a toy and resents being turned into one. Both are going to have to make a choice. What makes a toy, and who gets to decide?
I mean, Bo Peep wasn't meant to be a toy, either. She was part of a porcelain lamp set and, same as what Bonnie did with Forky, was given life by Andy who took her and her sheep from his sister's room to play with them and includes them in his scenes with Woody and the other toys. Odds are Bo was probably meant to be an inanimate object as well and now chooses to live her life the way she chooses to.

I get the hesitation the trailer is amazing it really is and it brings back the feels that you fell in the very first movie it brought that fun instant feel that the first movie brought plus the creepy vibe that syd brought. I think in today’s society with how the world is this kind of nostalgia is needed. I need to feel like that 10-year-old girl again that sought the wonder and imagination in the world
