I walked through the whole house until I got to the original homestead downstairs. I couldn’t physically move my feet. Absolutely terrifying. I’m so glad you guys think the same. That part of the manor is more than just creepy
Went there in 2011, photographed a ghost outside near the brick gate and in one of the rooms the facial recognition square activated on the camera but the room was empty, nothing appeared in the photo. A really great experience.
I work in a veterans residential center that, originally, was a nursing home and long term care facility for mentally disabled people. About a week ago I was sitting at the desk and looking at security monitors. I focused on the wing 3 monitor and saw many small and large orbs moving around. I had already eliminated all the obvious things it might be. I was excited and not scared because I knew what was happening and felt privileged that I was seeing spirit energy of, most likely, nursing home residents. Myself and one other person saw a large orb make a calculated and distinct move from door knob height on one door and move across the hall to the door of an office just before going inside the door. I've also seen a shadowy figure at the end of that same hall a month or so ago at night.
When I went on a tour here, I was about 13 years old and I remember being on the balcony and the buckled floorboards, and I wanted to look over the balcony to see the blood stain from where the lady was pushed/fell. And it was like someone had their hand placed on my chest and I wasn’t able to move closer to the railing. I wasn’t afraid, I just found it interesting. Like a force field. I loved it
My son and daughter's and I were there in 2011 and we had a ball, I even caught a ghost with a digital camera beside the arched gate at the side of the house, we think it's a woman holding a parasol judging by the outline. My daughter's reported that they heard a horse and carriage pull up out the front. Like I said, we had a ball.
We have been 3 times & stayed the night everytime ! You experienced a lot of stuff went went through ... cold too the bone in 43 degree heat . Someone like a child tugging on your shirt .. the light switch swinging on it’s own ... & many more .... I highly recommend you stay the night as you sleep above the original homestead ... . The place is Amaxing ! Lawrence & Olive are so lovely . You have a different experience everytime you go that’s all I am saying !!!! Enjoy ......
The windows above the servants quarters are the windows of the guests bedrooms. I have stayed up there 2 times. I also found, for some reason the servants quarters very eerie and got a strange photo just outside. My EMF meter went of in my room, I watched a door handle move when no one was touching it and talking voices were herd coming from my room while I was asleep.
Went there a while ago and got many clear orbs in the stable and front of building in my photos. Had a heaviness the whole time I was there, it left as soon as I was out of the property. Want to go again.
oooh so interesting! can definitely relate to the heaviness, almost sleepiness for me too. hope you've found your way back there since. happy exploring!
What’s so bizarre is my partner and I went to the Monte Christo homestead last year in June. Similar sort of weather to you guys. I felt fine throughout the whole house and grounds - except for the maids cottage where you guys didn’t like the back bedroom and the ‘chore shed’! My partner was the same. Just felt so unwelcome and that it was such a negative atmosphere we had to leave.
Re Mirrors..As a kid I picked up an older relative's hand mirror and reflected it into her dressing table mirror, amazed at the ''tunnel'' it created... She said ''It is said that doing that makes a doorway for the Devil to walk through''.... But the watery green endless reflections were fascinating to a little kid..
I saw 2 orbs moving around in the main front rooms of the homestead, one orb was a bit bigger than the other, it seemed as though they were chasing each other.
having moved to Wagga in 2019 I did the touristy thing and went to Montichristo, Lovely place best view of Junee. I wish parts of the upstairs were open to view at that time. the gift shop and admin building is very good. The women who owns the place and was still living there at the time was so loving and helpful. I like Australian colonial history and having grown hp in Anglican rectories in the Bathurst diocese NSW i like to see other unique and heritage architecture well worth visiting.
I've just recently stay the night here twice. I love it here. Such a beautiful homestead. I love Mrs Crawley. Its changed a bit now though. Very intense feelings, have connected with Magdalena, Mrs Crawley, a couple of the Maids and little Thomas. ❤🏡🥰
That room where you cameras facial recognition system registered something, is the same room where my cameras recognition system picked up something near the floor, like there was someone looking up at me, but there was nothing in the photo. My camera did however get a picture of a ghost out at the side of the house near the arched gateway.
The restoration work on this house is beautiful. I would love to buy a Victorian mansion and decorate it this way -- without the "ghosts", thank you. the attention to detail up to the contrast stripe near the ceiling is amazing. In the future either use a better mike or crank up the volume on record. I heart about 1 10th of what you said.
apologies for the sound quality - spur of the moment experience and only a phone to record on - lesson learned. hopefully headphones worked a little better ;)
Wow, everything in the home is very old! I'm surprised people don't steal the stuff! They would probably be cursed or haunted if they did! So many mirrors! Unbelievable! Pretty place though! 😊
I went there the day before the anniversary a few years back. I couldn’t breathe in one of the rooms and hand to go outside, I was on the balcony where I thought I’d bumped into someone and there was no one there. Also where all the carriages are where you mentioned “audio played you the whole time” I took photos and still unsure if it’s dusk, major dusk or haunted of orbs!
At 16:15, does anyone else see the shadowy human shaped thing in the mirror? Or is it the curtain. Either way it looks like a shadowy figure in the mirror on the set of drawers.
I went there when i was 5 and i still remeber till this day 11 ghost died there but ther is one little girl who died from falling down the stairs a boy was burned to death a girl fell of the bocony and there is more to it to..
15:15 you hear a male whisper something. Its not u guys and it isnt the sound of the ppl there either. Pause it at that timestanp. Slow playback to .75x or .50x to hear it better.
If I was a billionaire I'd buy it, chuck all the creepy dolls and rope barriers and open a teashop. People could drink coffee and eat scones in front of that lovely old drawing room fireplace. I bet the ghosties would be happier, too.
the upstairs is where the bedrooms are for the over night stay after the ghost tour. that last room you were in and you felt bad was the laundry room directly above that is a guestroom, Me and my sister stayed in I heard girls talking from that room at 3 am no one else was awake in the whole house. it sounded like the voices were far away I couldn't make out what they were saying. I also got my hair played with was touched all sorts. ive been to monte 13 times done 2 ghost tours and have had many things happen every time. the steel bars and curtains you see on the stairs you said were bedrooms almost right, thats a hall way with two bathrooms on either side very creepy place to shower to be honest lol. then theres just rooms then a staircase going down to where olive lives in a little area.
It looks lovely from outside... That balcony is beautiful..that Colonial design. ''Ominous'' presence in the bathroom.. ?! The claustrophobic stuffiness go the interior ..The decor with heavy furniture..and mannequins are oppressive though.. The chain at the outbuilding...........years of anguish there...Poor boy.
@@samanthaclark It looked a fascinating place to visit..We live in England, and there are lots of lovely old houses to explore..I like the outbuildings best, the Stables and coach houses, Or the Nurseries and kitchens, rather than the grander parts of the houses... yes, apologies for the sound quality - defs gotten better since then ;) apparently Grafton cemetery, the heritage art gallery and hotel reubel has some reported sightings - but honestly I'd ask around and on local FB pages because usually the best spots are found via word of mouth. happy adventures!

Definitely a laundry, Elona. I lived in the gorgeous old country homestead (not as grand as Monte Christo) that my grandparents built when I was a kid, after my parents took the property over when my grandies retired. They had left their old washing machine which was exactly like the one in this room; the device with the rollers is a mangle - the original 'spin dryer' to squeeze excess water out of clothes, linen etc before hanging them out to dry. The other device is a set of scales; our woodshed had a set just like this that my dad used to weigh wool bales after pressing; he used to weigh us kids on it sometimes too, for fun. There are a lot of accoutrements, ie, some of the lamps, mirrors and furniture, that are very similar to some my grandparents had too. I must visit Monte Christo some day - it looks fascinating!

The bricks aren't painted over, it is called tuck pointing. They shave the bricks flat and mortar is raised then sanded as well. Costs heaps
