After riding the gold wing, Yamaha eluder, elder, road glide special..... I did a demo on this bike over the weekend, this is a solid performing bike, the dynamic shifting something to get used too....I will need a configuration for a taller rider me being 6'4 that's a challenge for any bike but good job bmw
Great overview. I was able to test ride both the R 18 B and K 1600 B on the same day. What a smooth engine that K 1600 has. I thoroughly enjoyed them both in different ways. @Texas2Tires
Hi, The switch at the seat side for the seat heating is not intend instead of using the "screen" as mentioned in the Video for the driver. It is the control for the passenger seat (rear part of the seat only) as that can't be controlled via screen.
Potential buyers be aware that the K1600 has changed very little over its 10 year life span…. Aside from cosmetics and a few electronic gimmicks, it’s exactly the same bike from 2012….
Please if reviewing a bike get your facts right As a K1600B owner you can get a 2xl full face helmet into the left side bag, it just goes in an unusual way, on it side, top of the helmet in first and the chin pointing to the back There is also no reason to ever use the keys in the bag locks, the bike has central locking
Nobody knows everything. And journalists are near the bottom of that list. Vehicle sales people are at the bottom. How many of them know anything about what they are peddling?🤣 Taught more sales people about their products than they knew in a less than 5 minute conversation. (but I do my homework)
Excellent bike.. the deal breaking issue with BMW is that they ship all their bikes to the US with every option/accessory available jacking the price up substantially… take this K1600B….. all the gimmicky electronics add @$3k+ to the price… Base Is @$22k… yeah good luck finding a base model… most if not all K1600Bs are approaching $30k…. Total deal breaker…
If you drop the fob on the ground next to the bike (on some models of bike) you can drive off and it will keep running until you turn it off later. Then you realize its missing and you are screwed. Worse, if you leave it on the back and drive a ways and it drops off, you will never find it. With a key, when you lose it, you know it, and can look around for it in the restaurant you were just in, or whatever.
@@brianc8463 there’s a warning light on the dash to prevent this, if the keys move a couple of meters away from the running motorcycle it lights up, it also warns when the fob battery is starting to go low
✌️♥️👍👍👍 Interrupted Buffalo Fish but worthwhile. This is the perfect bike just to buy and ride for an adventure then trade away or better give it away. I like it best because it just pushes me away from desires like ownership possession control or love of machines. It's just a reality check for keeping one grounded amidst technology IMO
I have an XL full face Arai and it most definitely fits in the left bag.

How do you rank those group of bikes?

Which do you prefer?
@@CheeseBiker4Life I had more fun on the R18 B. The K1600 was cool but was too top heavy for my liking

Best looking BMW ever.
Must be nice to live in rain free California.
Weather is nice, but the politics ruin it.
No, what has destroyed California are commie left and lawyers.
Just asking for a friend...he wants to know if you shot this video without any rehearsal or written script?
Do they have on with a tach and speedometer?
??? 🤔TFL? This guy does F150 Lightening reviews AND he sings too. Which one did he send over to TFL for his audition for this gig? 😂
sharp ride

Sometimes that’s a good thing.
Same with the honda goldwing engine.
I really like the look of this bike. 👍🏽

@@WW-wf8tu Exactly, these people do this for a job, how do they not know what there talking about, all this information is easily available.
Actually $26,560 with the option package on that bike

My problem with keyless on bikes is possibility of losing the fob since regular keys are always attached to the ignition
If you lose the fob, aren’t you in exactly the same situation as if you loose the key ?, not sure what your worried about

Wow they've really tried copying the Goldwing F6B
A satnav that only works if the bikes connected to your phone and you have to have permanently on charge ? Lousy idea.
It looks dreadful as well.

No radar cruise control? Fail!
it has cruise control
