Great content! Falling in love with doubles lately and really enjoying the additional layers of play.
I am also a big fan of the Real Tennis channel. I would love to play with you guys and messing around 😁

After listening to the podcast episode on this topic and watching this video, I heard my opponents today saying to each other "he's taking up a lot of space" and after the match they told me "you were a real pain today" (don't know if that's the saying in english, but meaning that I was causing them trouble). Thanks a lot!

Doubles is such a different game. This video made that more clear than ever.

Loved this match on RT, really intense.
Love watching these doubles matches analysis. Surely the chess match is at least seemingly more intense than your singles tennis. I'm not sure if I'm right about this but to me it sure looks like it, since I have no clue about doubles.
    Cheers!

@@EssentialTennis I guess the idea of having two opponents on the other side of the net and managing things with your bud on your side seems like adding a few more variables that seem infinitely more complex than when I'm on court on my own where things are a lot more simple. Maybe since I don't know much about doubles it looks even more complex? Hehe...

It's more nuanced and complex, no doubt about it

I really cannot comprehend Double's Tactics compared to Single's Strategies as I am more to baseliner and big server than the whole volley positioning. Single's volley much more simple than Double's volley as the later need a lot of sync with the Double's partner as well
