Clare Curtis I know a lot of doctors don't consider breast cancer when you're young but I know so many women who have had cancer in their 30's. I think all lumps should be checked at a hospital breast clinic xx

I think doctors need to watch a few YT video's by women who've experienced various cancers (not just breast cancer) so they can stop thinking younger women don't get cancer! I've watched numerous videos done by women with cancer who've been told 'don't worry, it's highly unlikely it's cancer because of your age'. Not helpful really is it..🙄. Times are changing. Perhaps years ago cancer in young people was uncommon. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem the case anymore...😕

I can relate to this so much, especially feeling more calm and relieved after finding out that I finally knew what I was dealing with when I was told it was breast cancer. I did break down in the room though - I’m 27 and have a baby girl and the first thing that came to my mind was what if she had to grow up without a mother? Now I know more and feel better about it all - my tumour is a 3cm IDC HER2+ that has spread to the lymph nodes but bone, CT and MRI scans confirmed that it hasn’t spread beyond that. So basically stage 2b. I’ve had 1 of 8 rounds of chemo so far which will be followed by surgery then radiotherapy. Such a long road ahead but it’s reassuring to watch this video and see that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for sharing your story! You’re amazing! x
I like your video and I am glad to see that so far I seem to have reacted the same way as you so I don't feel like I'm weird for being so positive. I have been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma and got a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago. Tumour was 2.5cm. Going to see my oncologist tomorrow as I will be starting chemo in 4 weeks roughly. Tumour was HER2 positive too so getting Herceptin for a year (which only works with chemo), radiotherapy and hormone therapy (for 10 years). I am 33 years old and no history in my family. Didn't have an MRI though. I'm going to watch your other videos, it's good to hear from someone who has gone through it and explaining the process rather than telling how people should feel or react. Your positivity is brilliant too. Oh, and I'm glad I've got a critical illness insurance too, claim is ongoing but if accepted, it will pay our mortgage, which will make a huge difference as I am not going to be able to go back to work for a while. Thank you for spreading awareness and sharing your experience :)

How are you doing now? My situation is very similar to yours - I’m 27 and have a 3cm IDC HER2+. I had my first round of chemo two weeks ago and the first few days afterwards were awful but now I’m feeling fine and actually quite positive about this whole experience. Just need to get through it one step at a time. The doctors found a lesion on my liver which was extremely worrying but an MRI confirmed that it’s a benign cyst - phew! x

And instead of my gp saying not to worry, when I asked her if I should be worried, she said yes. She said my lump is hard, immovable, and was concerned by me not having pain. She referred me for an ultrasound and a computer aided diagnostic mammogram. my appointment isn't until October 2nd though. And today is August 17. I am like everyone, here online searching like crazy. This has been informative though. Thank you.
Jamie Winters try to get it moved up. I just had a lumpectomy at Memorial Sloan Cancer Center and I never felt the lump although I knew where it was from the mammogram and the Sono mammogram. If I had waited to feel it in my case it might have been too late. Be your advocate and beg them to move your appointment to an earlier date. Good luck dear.
@@kuchytapr thank you. I called the imaging place to try to move it up. They keep just saying they don't have any openings until October 2nd. They say call each day to see if there are any cancellations. And I do but there's none. I asked why I can't just do the mammogram one day and the ultrasound a different day since the opening they're waiting for is to do both. And they said because they do it at the same time because of policy. Then I kept asking well why so long away. And they said because it has to be on a day when there is a Dr there to talk to me afterwards due to the type of mammogram ordered and what's on the referral from my gp. So I'm annoyed. I called my insurance to see if I can go somewhere else and they said no. So it's very worrisome. If I had the money I'd just pay to get my own imaging done somewhere else. But unfortunately I don't. So you never felt a lump or anything at all? I felt mine by off chance. My friend told me that massaging your breasts make them bigger. Lol. And I didn't believe her but thought well what the heck, may as well try it! So I did, and I felt it right away. It's about the size of a marble but not really round.
@@l.m.3135 Hi! I did the mammogram and ultrasound and they said it looks malignant on the scans. So I did a biopsy on the 15th and omg let me tell you, that is painful afterwards. I'm still bruised and in pain from it. Anyway I got my results back the next day and they told me that it is malignant. So I have to go back on Monday to get a sentinel lymph node biopsy to know if it spread into my lymph nodes at all. And the from there I'll get more answers. Waiting is the hardest part honestly. I'm okay though. The wait has been so long that I've had enough time to come to terms with everything. :)

When I saw the Dr his demeanour was very concerned and he told me "if I'm honest I'm worried about that lump" and that I'd get an emergency appointment within 2 weeks. I've lost so much sleep and I haven't slept last night, i feel sick with worry

I think it's quite understandable that you felt better once you knew what you were dealing with. Being in a place of uncertainty or limbo can feel worse I think.

I have stage 2 HER +. MY LUMP was not painful, felt very superficial and was smaller than a quarter. I have not had my addressed yet d/t cervical stage 4 at the same time as breast Cancer DX.
Pray Then Hustle ...Diagnosis cannot be made by ultrasound or mammography, however they are used to determine if a biopsy should be performed. Diagnosis comes after a biopsy is done and is sent to pathology.
That's interesting I didn't know that. I had a mammogram callback and it was a cyst. I saw it and it was a sort of perfect oval. That's probably why the consultant thought it looked benign, which it was.
I have been drinking enough in the past year as to make at least 0.5 gallons, 1 or 2 gallons of water per day, which is my blood volume based in my weight. I've been drinking mouthfuls of water with rehydration salts directly in my mouth, I've also been taking vitamin B3 niacin and also niacinamide, vitamin B6, K2, K and B2. I should take the full range of vitamins, and I've also been eating better from the breakfast, I try to eat only what gives me the most energy, and I've overcome a lot of disease conditions, and weakness. I also keep all the time learning complex things like trying to program my own operating system from scratch and many other types of programs to make sure that my brain is receiving enough nutrients at all times. I also try to avoid TV, music or multimedia when sleeping or resting. I've found that those things consume around 40% of physical energy but that only can be felt when one is very sick with fever and dehydration, with a soft diet to not vomit, but it also works all the time to keep up the energy. Rehydration salts with enough water to make 0.5 gallons of urine or more per day is capable of keeping up mental and physical energy in general, and you can even see the effects in your skin which will heal if it has conditions like chronic dandruff or any skin disease, as it will slowly heal along with treatments. But taking that much water and rehydration salts has been detoxifying me from a life of too little water, and if you drink that much water keeping food and electrolytes, you should probably recover from a condition that really isn't even cancer but accumulated toxins, and probably impoverished blood due to too little water intake and too many toxins. I suspect that many cases that are supposed to be cancer are just the effects of dehydration over a lifetime due to accumulated toxins which make the body malfunction in cancer-like ways. I ALSO SPIT MASSIVELY IN BAGS TO GET RID OF BAD BREATH AND EVEN MORE TOXINS. That's probably why cancer seems to travel from one place to another. They could be just toxin-affected cells that is possible to heal. I have several months of drinking enough as to produce my blood volume in pure urine every day as a minimum, and I feel better and better. The blood volume has to be calculated with some of the body weight to blood volume calculators available online.
I'm so confused. They found a lump in my breast but they didn't say it was a cyst, they said they were going to monitor it's growth and if it grew they would know.......I didn't end up going back because I've had issues since. I do still feel a long lump in that same breast still, others feel it too, my ex found mine before me. Would they not tell me if it was a cyst?

I'm 16 and i feel a hard lump under my arm, my mom said it was where the lymph node would be and I'm absolutely terrified :')
Were you diagnosed based on ultrasound only and mammogram only or after biopsy?

AltComp126 yes definitely didn't drink a lot of water and I smoke cigarettes I know that is a contributing factor to a lump in my breast now

They did. They saw a mass but are monitoring the growth. I'm wondering if I should get a second opinion.
