There's one more color of portal- the green portals created when you throw an emerald tablet into the abandoned hut at the lake! If i remember right, this is another case of a portal that leads to another portal, as well
your right but only half there is a second part to that one, you take a tablet from the third area or deeper to the anvil and get a re-forged tablet and take the new tablet one to the cabin and you'll unlock the requirement spells, they're like logic on a wand, but i believe it's the same portal
also notably very powder-happy -- as anyone knows who tries to get in as much tinkering in as they can before they drown because the arrival effect poked a hole in the ceiling
I do not remember their colours, but here are the portals not mentioned in video: * Portal from Lake to Holy Mountain, by filling the cavity under the wooden statue with blood(note: balance/counterpart to the desert skull portal; allows traversal past tree in the other direction, and makes the desert portal more useful by proxy) * Portal From Temple of the Art to Tower * Portal from Tower to Holy Mountain * 2 portals back to lake hut from submerged containers(note: Green!) * Portal from Snowy Depths to equally snowy sub-area with reward wands(or sandcave in ng+) by filling rare brickwork eye prop with teleportatium * 'Summon Portal' spell that leads to tech egg & chest containing The End of Everything * Eldritch Portal spell from which tentacles emerge * Unusable Portal from which Stevari/Skoude emerge * Unusable Portal from which deer boss emerges Also worth mentioning: the portal(s) at the bottom of Temple of the Art that leads to The Laboratory where Kolmi is, is also red.
I had to come back and share this thought: I'm in the mines using chain bolt as one does at this stage a lot of the time and I realize it has the same color as the purple portals along with some strange explosive effects. The description calls it a "Mysterious bolt that jumps from enemy to enemy". Maybe the reason that it does jump from enemy to enemy is it is using the same portal magick or technology or whatever. Got me thinking about what other spells could be related. Projectile gravity field comes to mind as well as long distance or teleport cast but they don't seem to match up as well as chain bolt. The "mysterious" description is really intriguing. Reminds me of that of the chainsaw in that there is a mechanic hinted at that isn't immediately obvious. Anyway, just a random thought I figured I'd throw it out there.
kolmi has 4 purple eyes (3 dot ones and 1 that he keeps opening and closing) THERE HAS TO BE SOME SORT OF CORELATION are the portals created/maintained by them?? could that imply they want us to kill them?? hy do they want us to kill them is the sampo some sort of trap? 🤔
This game makes me feel like I'm going full on Pepe Sylvia screaming at a board covered in red yarn with question marks sharpied all over it, but I think I'm picking up what you're putting down here. It's interesting that the eye motif keeps coming up in relation to the purple portals. The hourglass portal to the eye shaped room, the starting runes that teach you the controls for the game, the holy mountain portals have the basins of teleportatium in eye shaped holes. So, I think it's a safe bet to say that the forces behind the eye puzzle and all of these eye glyphs and helpful hints are the Gods that created and protect the Holy Mountains. The blue portals seem to only spawn around things occurring in nature, or related to nature. The desert portal leading to the island which is a nature refuge full of animals, or the blue portal that spawns from the power that is granted to you in an altar in the tree. We don't really see eye motifs around anything else to do with them, though, so I don't think they're related to the eyes at all, which kind of makes their prominence around purple portals or whatever force is trying to coax you down to fight Kolmi more damning in saying they're tied together. So, if it's two different sources, I'd say purple is Gods, and blue is Nature. That leaves Red, which is a bit of an outlier, though, because it's also the color of Leviathan portals and Kolmi *and* the Flute. But, it seems like it's a third source of power outside of the purple or blue powers. What's also odd to me is that only the purple portals we see for HMs are open in the center, and the only time we see one of those closed, if I'm not mistaken, is from an Eldritch Portal spell. But every other portal type is closed in the center and isn't harmful. I feel like it's all trying to say something, and I feel crazy trying to piece it all together, lmao
I remember the hourglass room collapsing when I entered it the other way (eye room -> hourglass room instead of activating the hourglass) so I suppose that activating the hourglass renders the room earthquake-proof
If you are teleporting very fast and enter a holy mountain portal, it is possible to go back if you keep firing your teleport. The ones that you didn´t mention and came to my mind are the entrace to the tower and the portal that steve spawn, and since he is sent direct from the gods...
Yep,,, No one can deny how hard hashtag #Dhash goes XD Sharp or flat just,,,, nah mate ^^ Not being educated in music notes, I am willing to tell everyone exactly that this is 100% fact, real and true
Maybe Emerald tablets (Reforgeable ones) hint the route one should go through different portals. My theory is that you have to travel through those portals in right sequence to unlock "final" portal, which leads to cauldron room. You didn't mention Summon Portal spell, which might be part of the "portal quest". Also two portals which can be created in abandoned hut, next to lake.
Also, the portals between Temple of the Art and The Laboratory (final holy mountain) are red, not purple like the ones between the other areas of the main path.
If the gods didnt put them there, then who worked the brick in the fast travel portal room I wonder. is the hourglass a hissi construct? also very interested in how an apparent interloper in the form of the lake hermit learned to trigger portals.
Yeah, seems like red and blue are special portals and purple ones are kinda generic practical doorways. The Eldritch Portal and Steve's portal are also purple.
3:08 i have used the powderisation from shooting thunder charges every frame to collapse a tunnel and trap a usefull enemy for later use. And i have noticed the powder from the portals before and other things. It was annoying when i used return for bring flasks and they kept being buried 4:50 if you anger the gods you lose the holy mountain protection
When i entered the eye room by digging and used the portal to the hourglass, it had collapsed from the first time and i thought it happens every time you use it that way

i was wondering if something happens if you get a tablet there without disturbing the tree, by use of the dessert portal
@@youtuechar well im not sure but i could find out

* Portal from Tower to Holy Mountain
* 2 portals back to lake hut from submerged containers(note: Green!)
* Portal from Snowy Depths to equally snowy sub-area with reward wands(or sandcave in ng+) by filling rare brickwork eye prop with teleportatium
* 'Summon Portal' spell that leads to tech egg & chest containing The End of Everything
* Eldritch Portal spell from which tentacles emerge
* Unusable Portal from which Stevari/Skoude emerge
* Unusable Portal from which deer boss emerges

Aye, all interesting and good stuff, will keep this in mind and work on looking at it harder in causal play ^^
13:10 eye puzzle in the snowy depths, meditation cube and the end of everything have two way purple portals too
eoe has purple portals??? interesting. given this theory, I suppose even the gods know how to have a good time sometimes!

Good comment but gotta nitpick a little, hissi means elevator in Finnish : D

Hourglass room won’t do the earthquake when it has been solved
Eldritch portal?

Has anything been discovered by playing in Inverted color?
Also forgot tower portals
