The Rosenberg Trio play the standard 'Out Of Nowhere' with Bireli Lagrene & Christian Escoude @ Vienne. Check my videos for more clips of this concert.
Hey, this is my new favorite versions of one of my favorite standards. Beautiful. I am beginning my guitar lessons and hope to one day play this in my own way too. I could never get this good though! Thanks!
What is all this..one better than the other...? HEY LISTENERS..it isn't about who's better.!!!! Just listen to all of them and enjoy ! Each has his own bag of tricks, each has wonderful things to say.
I had the pleasure of meeting Stochelo 5 years ago. He saw that I had a guitar with me and asked I would like to play a few songs with him. I kicked him square in the balls. Jealousy is a terrible thing
I wouldn't say this style is all about the soloists... actually its one of the most rhythmically inclined styles I know, but thats exactly why I agree with you. Rhythm here is weak, but I think its got a lot more to do with the on the stage sound than with the playing.
Well, check your facts. The Rosenbergs Rarely if EVER rehearse, let alone practice. Apart from a few tunes where he keeps the chorus just like the original-but they are classics-(For Sephora or Bossa Dorado for example), Stochelo decides on the spot which way he'll go. After checking your facts you might wanna checkout my vids and see for yourself :)
WHY SAY A THING LIKE THAT ? YOU ARE JUST PLAIN MEAN ! COULD YOU DO BETTER ? I DOUBT IT ! PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME SICK ! THAT'S WHY THIS WORLD IS SO F''D UP !
but about jazz guitar players i think the best was Joe Pass...really good technics, no hyper-steril speed, and a feeling that those 3 player can watch only by far
not a lot of rhythm drive...unfortunately. I know that this style is all about the soloists..but usually there's a more convincing rhythm section section and withy all the flurry-of-notes-stuff it doesn't quiet come off in my opinion (nothing bad about the players...the rhythm section need a bit more "pedal to the metal"
i came here from a vid of Bireli playing blues and getting flack in the comments for not making santana type ''guitar faces''. this guy thinks it is his face is playing the guitar. well maybe it is, but cld use a little practice .. te he .. dont feed the fol di rol ..
Bireli tries to go too fast becorce he is a improvicing jazz musician who takes risks.Rosenberg doesn't improvise, every thing is more or less prepared at home, riskfree:)
Comme toujours, moins chez Bireli trop de notes, trop de vibrato chez Rosenberg. Le son de Escoudé est horrible.Je donne tout ça pour trois notes de Django.
This is what guitar playing is all about. Masterful!

Simply amazing and uplifting!!!
I love Nonnie's dancing right hand rhythm on the bass. Also the rhythm guitar. Sooo solid.
Such wonderful players .. Bravo!
I`ve just took a lesson from Mr Rosenberg in a guitarshop which he held. This evening Rosenberg Trio will play live at Jazz festival in my town.

Wonderful Playing, Grew op with Vic Damone's version great to hear different version,
Beautiful
I think they should film a biography on these guys, starring Vince Vaughn, Larry David and Jerry Stiller.
im so happy
In this vid Escoude is making the most art.
this song is jammin

this isn't real? or are u figuratively speaking of kicking him in the balls?
bireli is just godlike
top notch :)
love facial expresions on the 3rd guy (in solos order)
BELLE RENCONTRE MUSICALE
Des cordes et des cordes à en pleuvoir !!
avec musicalité et swing et jolies sonorités
Magique !!!
Somebody help me out here. Does Christian break a string around 4:45?
my theme song OH!

do you need a chord chart for "out of nowhere"? yes, when you start playing. Unless you have a friend ready to play it a number of times with you...
if you need a chart for OON get some ears first .. he he .. only chokin' ..

Mr Rosenburg stands out like a sore thumb...the other are famtastic...but he's unbelieveable...
Im probable out of my mind true, but im also profesional jazz musician with very good knowledge.
great stuff .....my mentor plays a great version of this tune ....Frank Mullen
Wish Bireli was on a selmer style for this concert...
Stochelo''s skills is way beyond the other two....;)

Birelli is a fabulous guitarist
Nobody has more heart than Birelli, are you deaf:)?
Stochelo es un monstruo
but about jazz guitar players i think the best was Joe Pass...really good technics, no hyper-steril speed, and a feeling that those 3 player can watch only by far
you mean joe piss?
bireli groove
you mean league?
the way he screw his solo up afterwards is way more funnier...
Lol at 2:59, he makes a mistake, then takes his fingers off the guitar and looks at his fingers... I do that sometimes... lol
@Regal1800 It happened on 4:44.. sad.. but he worked way too hard!!!
i prefer smooth playing too
4:44 -- why Biréli break Christian's string? - ha ha, just for joke.
whatsup with the faces of christian
he took dem internet masterclasses wid c santana
lol the third soloist brokes an string hahahaha
i don't like christian...but what's happened to his guitar?
Escoude a un joli style malgré ses gros doigts boudinés. A 4.44 par contre MDR
Ce concert n' est clairement pas le meilleur de Bireli....
un grand connaisseur
Perfectly "in the style"....not too "modern"......Pre-be bop style. GREAT VERSION......
LOL
this is not supposed to be a demonstrating skills jam..8(
He is improvising in this vid.the rest i disagree.

"way more funnier"
funnier than his face while soloing ? lol !!

Of course, brilliantly played but why do these guys need so many notes to express their feelings ?
They don't need them. They just use them.

Bravi dal punto di vista tecnico ma poco groove e fraseggio armonico non sempre corretto. Come si fa a spaccare una corda ? Ma.......
Bireli Lagrene, not so good.
At 2:55 he starts fucking it up; like he always does.
Bireli Lagrene, good enough for me. You don't play, right?
