I don't like Philipsen after his actions at the TDF, but you can't deny he is just embarrassing everyone. No one seems to be able to set themselves up for a sprint like him.

He's an incredibly powerful sprinter, but even in this stage, he's using borderline dirty tactics. Watch how he sweeps across the entire road as he opens up his sprint, ready to cut off anyone else who might be gaining on him. The psychological effect is that everyone thinks of him as dangerous and unsteady on his line, so they might think twice about trying to go around him even if they have the legs for it.

Which actions, a little non willing mistake you mean, thats the problem with really good gentle top sprinters, onces they make a little accidently move then sudenly people hate them, funny isn't it. Look at 50 sprintwins of Philipsen, ones of the cleanest and well behaved top sprinters ever ! Seriously, look at Sam Bennet for example, he makes asshole moves often and nobody did talk about, they all lie about that he is a gentle guy - they just look at him in front of a camera when talking, but he did so many bad moves in his carrière as a sprinter. Their are only a few honest sprinters in last 10 years , Philipsen , Van Aert , Kristoff, Greipel - thats just about it I think, 1 or 2 more maybe.

As Robbie says he was trying to get a sniff of Philipsen’s draft. He didn’t know there was rider on his hip till they reached the fence and Zingle drew to shoulder.

Alpecin domestic definitely was there in front in order to cover Philipsen wheel after the last corner from Merlier. He is checking and controlling him even before the push. Merlier did the best thing surprising him and try to anticipate, but didn’t go well

STFU he didn't do anything bad their, you just follow live commentators and don't analyse yourself. He didn't do it on purpose, he one of the cleanest fast sprinters ever been .. not like a bad behaving sprinter as Sam Bennet , Jackobsen (before his crash) ,... Grimay did a full from left to right while sprinters still on his bracket hight, big mistake. Philipsen never did that in his 50 masssprint wins LOl
