That corner was like the red sea parting for Jasper
Girmay should be punished for that. Zingle is true 3rd.
he try to make a pass, but I would say he never as much as a dickhead as JP
I've said white riders done that before, no one complained
He was punished. Ended in 138th.
@@angelramos5102 Stop trying to bring race into it.
@@angelramos5102got nothing to do w race so shut up
Grazie Mille, Eurosport Lads!
I don't like Philipsen after his actions at the TDF, but you can't deny he is just embarrassing everyone. No one seems to be able to set themselves up for a sprint like him.
Gotta agree on both points.
He's an incredibly powerful sprinter, but even in this stage, he's using borderline dirty tactics. Watch how he sweeps across the entire road as he opens up his sprint, ready to cut off anyone else who might be gaining on him. The psychological effect is that everyone thinks of him as dangerous and unsteady on his line, so they might think twice about trying to go around him even if they have the legs for it.
Which actions, a little non willing mistake you mean, thats the problem with really good gentle top sprinters, onces they make a little accidently move then sudenly people hate them, funny isn't it. Look at 50 sprintwins of Philipsen, ones of the cleanest and well behaved top sprinters ever ! Seriously, look at Sam Bennet for example, he makes asshole moves often and nobody did talk about, they all lie about that he is a gentle guy - they just look at him in front of a camera when talking, but he did so many bad moves in his carrière as a sprinter. Their are only a few honest sprinters in last 10 years , Philipsen , Van Aert , Kristoff, Greipel - thats just about it I think, 1 or 2 more maybe.
Can’t wait to see how UNO-X does in this years tdf! A team That’s rising!
Wtf Bini that was dirty as hell.
As Robbie says he was trying to get a sniff of Philipsen’s draft. He didn’t know there was rider on his hip till they reached the fence and Zingle drew to shoulder.
He did it at about 50 or 75m and the en again right at the line. It wasn't an accident. He did it TWICE
🤘🏻🇬🇧
Why isn't he relegated to last place?
@@oldtwinsna8347 he was relegated to 138th place if I'm not mistaken. It's because they gave him a penalty in seconds. Say it's a 2 min penalty, that puts him in 138th, for example
🤘🏻🇬🇧
Dirty move by Girmay
He did it at about 50m or 75m mark also
🤘🏻🇬🇧
Alpecin domestic definitely was there in front in order to cover Philipsen wheel after the last corner from Merlier. He is checking and controlling him even before the push. Merlier did the best thing surprising him and try to anticipate, but didn’t go well
Normally root for Girmay but that was a dickhead move big time
Everyone agrees!💯 I believe he got relegated to 138th place
🤘🏻🇬🇧
Philipsen carve through rivals in final corner, he is faster plus travels less distance, can see from above clearly, has taken sprinting to new levels !
Merlier continues his excellent form as well.
He quits and stops pedaling and some how recovers for 2nd. I don’t know he decided to lead through corner looks like he had option of taking wheel.
Merlier was on fire at UAE Tour. He's definitely on form!!
🤘🏻🇬🇧
That was INSANE. What a sprinters finish??
Good job Biniam Girmay. You did a great race
팀이 옛날 생각이 났나..야스퍼를 리드아웃해주네...ㅠ.ㅠ
👏👏👏👏👏
I've been racing for years and I can tell you, There's nothing hard about holding your in a Sprint like that. Anyone that can't do it is either a really bad rider or doing it intentionally.
ギルマイ最後寄せてるな〜。隣誰だ??
Of course the relegate Bini for a deviation here, but they won’t relegate Jasper Philipsen when he almost crashes Bini into the barrier in the Tour 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
STFU he didn't do anything bad their, you just follow live commentators and don't analyse yourself. He didn't do it on purpose, he one of the cleanest fast sprinters ever been .. not like a bad behaving sprinter as Sam Bennet , Jackobsen (before his crash) ,... Grimay did a full from left to right while sprinters still on his bracket hight, big mistake. Philipsen never did that in his 50 masssprint wins LOl
Anyone else think sprint stages just kind of suck - just boring with the same old unpunished deviations and little excitement.
My father thinks the same
Agreed, I prefer tt and mountain stages.
@@juliomarcelo5015if I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, your father is a wise man.
He was punished... relegated to last place in the field.
It usually is
Yes, sprint stages simply suck!
Who wants to watch hundreds of Kilometers of nothing when it comes down to the last 200 meters?
Make the sprints along the route and finish on an uphill of some sorts.
Like a short Paris-roubaix
During sprint stages I only watch the last 10 or 15km. That's the only action you'll see in a sprint stage

The cycling federation are raciest
you're delusional, go see a doctor
Cycling Federation are not that fan of themself racing on bikes you know. Cyslists are reale race ists, thats why they win. A big will and motivation, sporters of the highest level
