But after listening to John, I realized that there are 2 types of managers: 1. One that only does the recruitment part and expects you to make them look good with performance, minimal coaching 2. The other that follows the 3-steps of Recruit > Train & Develop > Lead & Promote, so that he can be promoted and build a successor.
