Thanks to everyone for the overwhelmingly positive responses so far. I'm always apprehensive when it comes to revealing new music from new albums because they always sound totally different. People are always harsh and quick to judge, but I believe that if you're honest and do what you want to do, the music will resonate with someone. I'm not the same person I was when AP began 12 years ago. But my motive hasn't changed; I want to make the best music I can for anyone that cares to listen.
I rather like it. It's always refreshing to get some lighter music with more synth than heavy bass every once in a while. Still keeps the nice pace and tempo that I liked your songs for as well.
Totally different again, but I'm liking it. I love having something fresh to listen to and I LOVE that all your albums have a different sound .. big thumbs up! Cant wait to listen to the rest of the album and see you in the UK in July :)
Man, what are people flipping out about? I adored your old sound, and I adore your new sound. You're my favorite band, and I think you'll stay that way for a while.
We had a sound for the first album called Close to Human. Then we got a new sound for the next album, Blood Spills Not Far From the Wound, then we got another new sound for A Violent Emotion, then we got a new sound for All Beauty Destroyed and now, SURPRISE, we have a NEW SOUND!
I discovered AP early last year and found myself connecting and relating to the music immensely. I bonded a lot with All Beauty Destroyed and your previous albums (which I only wish I discovered sooner) and I personally love that each album has a different feel to it. There’s an AP album and song for every mood I go through. I love this song and I feel I will be connecting with this album as well as I did the last. Thank you for doing what you do! Never stop
My ears aren't angry at this song and it got quite a few body wiggles out of me. Not going to put it in the pile of my favorite AP songs just yet, but I always tingle with happiness to hear new music from you guys.
I like it it sounds a bit to me like you are reconciling with yourself in a way and making AP exactly what you want it to be... which in the end is ever changing.
And you're completely justified in feeling that way. The only thing you don't have the right to say is that I've changed for the wrong reasons. You don't know me and have absolutely no idea why I do what I do. Keep your opinion, speak it if you must, all I ask is that you kindly refrain from pretending you can read my mind or understand my motives.
Really digging this track. Looking forward to the new album and your next music video. I really respect that you are doing what you want. That is what being an artist is all about and too many artists seem to forget that. -j.
The more I listen the more I like it. I know it is technically the standard 4 beat but the snare beat makes it have the feel of a breakbeat which is very unusual in the industrial scene.
There's also nothing wrong in exploring. While I agree with MasterExploder61... I like your previous sounds a little better... I like seeing a group who is willing to step outside the box and explore. I LOVED the sound of A Violent Emotion. It always got me up and moving, but I really appreciated and respected how eclectic All Beauty Destroyed was, and it seemed to cover all of the spectrum when it comes to music I enjoy listening to. Keep Exploring! I never know what to expect with you. 2cents
Daniel you in my opinion are the greatest musician composing today. I had downloaded all your albums a while ago and loved them so much I ordered all of them off of amazon yesterday. Each album is absolutely amazing in it's own way. Bring back necessary response though! Do you have any other side projects? Do you ever have plans to come to Victoria, BC? if so msg me on here I'd love to watch. I bought your new single too but too bad it was MP3 only. I miss buying CDS. Keep it up!
I like the fact that you are actually showing your talent as a singer. Granted you showed it in a few songs but this one is still one of the best. I loved the beat and the tempo as well. I do not mind the change at all. As long as you continue to do what you love and bring that love to the music I am sure it will always sound great!
What I fail to understand is why you're so upset. Over the last couple weeks you've been posting negative comments about how I suck, how I didn't try, about how you miss A Violent Emotion, etc... A Violent Emotion still exists, you can still listen to it. Why are you so mad that I made something different? What compels you to repeatedly visit this page and bash me? News flash. I don't make music for you, I make it for me. Don't like it? Cool. I don't give a shit.
I think what I like most about your music is that your vocals aren't a harsh whisper, or a high pitched yowling, or anything else to try and sound 'sinister'. They're very pleasant to listen to in general. Also your beats are godly.
People evolve. If they stay the same it means they've learned and experienced nothing. Their music is bound to reflect that. Even bands whose styles remain constant see lyrical changes through their careers. Music is art, and the creation of art should be enjoyed by the artist or what would be the point of creating it in the first place? Keep the albums coming AP. I've loved them all since Close to Human and I'm excited to hear this one in its entirety.
I honestly didn't like 'All beauty destroyed' when I first heard it... luckily I was smart enough to hold my tongue because it is now truly one of my favourite albums of ALL time.. I can't even fathom what I didn't like about it.. I sometimes go for a week or more listening to nothing else.. Love this track and unapologetic evolution of your sound and style.. Thank you for not kowtowing to the various scenesters and staying true to yourself, it shows! Can't wait to see you in London next month!
Further thought, at least regarding the newer Mansonesque imagery - as a fan of MM myself, I get the feel and the symbolism behind it. Do what best suits your own style, regardless... it has nothing to do with who did what first, but the power, symbolism and style one is trying to impress. The new vid for this track is flawless, man. Keep up the amazing work.
Honestly this is one of my faves from you, some people just want to stifle creativity. Glad you are doing what you want to do, and not the demands of the fans or a record label.
U couldn't be same, even if u want.People always changes not just from year to year, but even changes a little bit with every second.A lot of people don't understands that an album, and a type of musinc on album is just a chapter in the artist's life, nothing more.As the artist changes, the music changes too.I always wanted some kind of love song with your taste guys, and time has came.Thank u very much, another awesome song, from an awesome band.Big thumbs up to you, AP.
Just because artists change their sound up a bit or do something a bit new doesn't mean they suck. If people were true fans they would embrace it and support it. Also, Justin Beiber voice? I personally don't hear it nor will anyone else in their right mind. Leaving hate comments won't change anything. Mr. Graves will always be amazing. I love this song so much. I'll always adore Aesthetic Perfection.
Truly, this track is amazing. It has a catchy progression reminiscent of pop, with a purely industrial/EBM aesthetic to it. Lyrically, though nothing amazing (which I don't expect in the industrial/EBM world anyhow), it still strikes a chord for me that I find both catchy and involving. Though a departure from earlier work, it's inviting - definitely keep pressing your boundaries and push your own envelope. I look forward to seeing how your sound will continue to evolve!
When you find yourself singing along without ever listening to the song before, you know you've done well. Good work guys, can't wait to hear more, and I really can't wait to see it live. Come back to DNA Lounge!
I love this song so much!!! I'm utterly excited for the new album to come out! I really love this song being different than their other songs also, in my opinion AP was and definitely still is one of the best bands of their genre! Can't stop listening to this new song, aah!!! LOVE it
He's handling it like a boss. I think it's pretty clear from his responses that this is something that does not bother him to a great extent, and that his mission not is to please everyone but to make the music he wants to.
No, thank you for providing us for wonderful music. I think I speak for all the true fans when I say we look forward to new music from you. I became a fan last year and was hooked, I bought all your albums and love every single one of them, keep up the good work and looking forward to the new album :D
been listening to you for about the last 6 years, and man was i stoked to see you guys in toronto with combichrist and ivardensphere, i could have only heard AP and still left the concert happy! -meeting you briefly was a real treat that i never expected to happen and nor will i forget, thanks for the music man and keep it comin!
Really do love this. Its been fun following your evolution as an artist....so much Purple Rain influence! Id love to sit down with this trac and an electric guitar, just to see what I came up with.
i love it!! ,3 i love all your music! people Are so scared of change and it frightens them! Music is constantly changing...this song has been stuck in my head all day
I've been a fan of pretty much everything you've released, with the except of a few songs, so I look forward to your music no matter where you plan to take it. Unless you become a country singer....you might lose me then. =P
Daniel, your sounds is just as good as it was in Close To Human. Keep it up, and screw the ones trying to dictate the way your music should be to them. Keep tailoring your music to you, good sir.
I do enjoy this. At least Daniel knows to keep his sound and style dynamic. Aesthetic Perfection wholly feels much more diverse and universal in a EBM/Aggrotech way. Great track, catchy and the lyrics feels reminiscent of older tracks too. :)
I admit that each new song i listen to by you i loth at first then i adore it, so i'm just waiting for when i cant stop listening to this song. It does seem like a very dramatic change from your last album though, what made you want to change to this style?
Ah, thank you! :) I live in Manchester and that's just a week after I finish my job! Niiiiice! :D Unfortunately I couldn't go Resistanz, but I hope you enjoyed it. :)
Thanks to everyone for the overwhelmingly positive responses so far. I'm always apprehensive when it comes to revealing new music from new albums because they always sound totally different. I'm not the same person I was when AP began 12 years ago. But my motive hasn't changed; I want to make the best music I can for anyone that cares to listen.
I agree 100%. People complaining want the same thing we have heard a thousand times before. It prevents progress for us who actually like creativity.
I rather like it. It's always refreshing to get some lighter music with more synth than heavy bass every once in a while. Still keeps the nice pace and tempo that I liked your songs for as well.
Sounds good to me! I like it when Daniel sings instead of shouts! :-)
Yes. Thank you for this.
Nothing I love more than the Necessary Response vocoder.
Hey guys. Digging the song. Can't wait to see you guys live again!
Definitely a different turn, but it's good to switch things up every once in a while. Great job! =D
Best compliment EVER!

Really awesome dude !
This is kinda what would happen if we are the ones and Inhuman had a baby.
People complain far too much about your change of sound. I'm just glad with how often you come up with new material.
I'm in love all over again with this band
My ears aren't angry at this song and it got quite a few body wiggles out of me. Not going to put it in the pile of my favorite AP songs just yet, but I always tingle with happiness to hear new music from you guys.
So good!
I like it it sounds a bit to me like you are reconciling with yourself in a way and making AP exactly what you want it to be... which in the end is ever changing.
Just love this song!
And you're completely justified in feeling that way. The only thing you don't have the right to say is that I've changed for the wrong reasons. people this song is perfect the work of aesthetic perfection is wonderful
Right on.
I like this song. Really unique sound. I love listening to your music. A lot of the time the music is just plain sexy.
Excellent! I love the portamento/glide lead.
Really digging this track. Looking forward to the new album and your next music video. I really respect that you are doing what you want. That is what being an artist is all about and too many artists seem to forget that.
-j.
Love this! Not what I expected, but change is good! Really looking forward to the new record now.
This is fantastic!
Spit It Out is my alarm clock song... it's been that since last summer, it's the perfect track to wake up to.
The more I listen the more I like it. I know it is technically the standard 4 beat but the snare beat makes it have the feel of a breakbeat which is very unusual in the industrial scene.
There's also nothing wrong in exploring. While I agree with MasterExploder61... I like your previous sounds a little better... great job!
I wasn't sure at first, but it's been growing on me. It's got a nice simplicity.
loving it Daniel always look forward to new stuff from you mate :)
Love it. Reminds me of a mixture of Necessary Response and Aesthetic Perfection.
Keep it up!
Addicted.
He sounds so much like Jay Gordon of Orgy! Not a bad thing, I LOVE both bands
I like the fact that you are actually showing your talent as a singer. Granted you showed it in a few songs but this one is still one of the best. I loved the beat and the tempo as well. I do not mind the change at all. As long as you continue to do what you love and bring that love to the music I am sure it will always sound great!
I heard this song live the first time, and fell in love with it!
Finally it's available! Daniel graves - you're a master!
Wonderful! I love it!
Love it, it's very reminiscent of the old Joy Division tracks I grew up listening to. Love the new sound thus far. Don't stop evolving!
this is the raddest shit to wake up to
I like it.
Love! My new favorite AP song. Thanks guys. You made a lovesong. :P
Reminds me of "The Ones" I love the lyrics!! Amazing song! Keep up the great tracks that go deep to the core, Daniel Graves! :)
What I fail to understand is why you're so upset. Over the last couple weeks you've been posting negative comments about how I suck, how I didn't try, about how you miss A Violent Emotion, etc... Love the lyrics and beat.
I love this BECAUSE you sound like a boyband in it. Brilliant.

awesome..love it....kind sounds a little like Mirrors by Natalia Kills. You should do a duet with her.
So glad my boyfriend introduced me to your music, it's basically all I listen to all day. ^-^
I honestly didn't like 'All beauty destroyed' when I first heard it... luckily I was smart enough to hold my tongue because it is now truly one of my favourite albums of ALL time.. aesthetic perfection now has the sound of a faderhead bside project.
Awesome track guys!

Why is there so much hate comments? I actually think this is just as awesome as his previous albums, I just love them all
Honestly this is one of my faves from you, some people just want to stifle creativity. Glad you are doing what you want to do, and not the demands of the fans or a record label.
absolutely LOVE it!!!
Simplicity, pure simple and easy music to cope with...a pleasure.
I'm loving it.
Agree with every word :)
Love it!!
At the first listen, I wasn't sure how I felt about the new sound. I love Close to Human and A Violent Emotion.
Gotta say, this grew on me.

It's Different.........but for some reason i like this new sound
I love this song so much!!! I'm utterly excited for the new album to come out!
I really love this song being different than their other songs also, in my opinion AP was and definitely still is one of the best bands of their genre!

Daniel, your sounds is just as good as it was in Close To Human. Keep it up, and screw the ones trying to dictate the way your music should be to them. Keep tailoring your music to you, good sir.
Damn, this song is so addictive! Great job! Keep it up, 'cause I'm used to expect nothing less than pure awesomeness from you! ^_^
god i hope i can see them live again one day :3 -their Performance at amphi 2012 was aesthetic perfection.
I do enjoy this. At least Daniel knows to keep his sound and style dynamic. Aesthetic Perfection wholly feels much more diverse and universal in a EBM/Aggrotech way. Great track, catchy and the lyrics feels reminiscent of older tracks too. :)

It won't become my favourite song... But it sounds nice anyway.
still awesome.
Can't wait....
I still like it.
I'm really living this. It's very different from what I've heard from you before but change is good.
I totally agree with that!
Ah, thank you! :) I live in Manchester and that's just a week after I finish my job! Niiiiice! :D Unfortunately I couldn't go Resistanz, but I hope you enjoyed it. :)
