The "Terminator" isn't really gonna make much of a difference. The weapons (gun, grenade launcher(which i think were taken out for this model?) and Anti-tank missiles are already being used on other vehicles. The difference now is that its "all in one place". The Armour is the same(?) as the T-14 so it is improved, but still can't stand up to Javelin, NLAW, Artillery or Drone attacks. IT will fare better against RPG. It is still a deadly vehicle... I just don't see how it's gonna be some "game changer" or how it's bringing anything significantly different especially when Russia does not have many of these.
The only difference is the name, considering it is deployed on the field. easy to attack and destroyed. maybe 1 of this day we've got a news that Russian soldiers gave this weapon to enemy for a cash.
Are you at CRUX totally ignorant of military equipment?? There is nothing "sinister" or "desperate" about these vehicles! They accompany ALL tank regiments. They are local low level air defence! The Russians used to use the ZSU 23/4. A radar controlled anti aircraft system.
A T72 with some 30mm cannon. Meant to replace infantry in supporting tanks. The whole point of infantry support is to watch the flank of the heavy vehicles. This is no more than a tank watching out for a tank. More targets for NLAWS !
We’ll just have to see how Well they fair against… NLAW, JAVELIN. Oh dear!🥶 I’m afraid the BMPT TERMINATOR will end up like the T 72! T 80 Variants and last but not least T90 and it’s Variants.
erm a few things , if it gets hit from the top its dead the radar is taken out along with the 2 launchers and im guessing that there are missiles stored inside the tank ? along with rounds for the 2 main guns which makes the insides go boom when a javeline comes down on it and the 2nd thing , the terminator always dies !!.
Very nice. Based on a T72 chassis so other not completely new. Unless they have developed a new defence system its still going to be vulnerable to AT missiles like the Javelin. Just how much more equipment and personnel is Mr Putin willing to sacrifice?
Nothing really new here, a lot of old ideas cobble together in a slightly different combination. Twin cannons been tried before, multiple missiles - available just about any modern army, T72 hull and chassis - no western tank men would wish to put their faith in that mess to keep them alive. I suspect it will a happy hunting season for the NLAWs, Javelin, Fausts etc etc etc. Bring them on they're about as scary as........ well everything else crap that the Russians have thrown into the shit show. Same half hearted, unmotivated and barely trained people going to be fried inside them. Business as usual I guess.
Take a T90 MBT, take off the turret, mount an unmanned superstructure with twin 30mm guns missiles and other stuff, and you have an BMPT. If it was that good, they would have used it already. Depends on how good the sensors are on that thingy above, and then on crew training, and both of these are proven to be trash in the orc army. So they are left with an easy to spot heavy vehicle with some firepower. Depends on how they are used, but most likely we will soon get news of their destruction. May God bless Ukraine and it's defenders!
It's a relatively close range weapon which means you have to drive 35km inside 155mm artillery range to engage infantry that might have Javelins, Brimstone, NLAW, Panzerfaust, etc. And that's if the TB-2s don't take you out either. Let's face it, a quadcopter with AT grenades is going to take these 47-tonne behemoths out. Desperation on Russia's part.
They are designed for urban combat. Their mission is to engage identified targets in elevated positions, that tanks can't reach due to inability to raise their main guns to a steep enough angle.
@@theorncampbell4432 Nobody is disputing that. I'm pointing out that they have to get to an urban zone first and I'll think you'll find that difficult in eastern Ukraine which is 98% countryside.

I see a small but easily damaged turret. You won't need a javeline to destroy the optics and all the important bits even if the hull is left alone. In urban environments, any AA weapon Could be devastating, but So what? Mobile AA isn't cheap and damaging it could readily be done with a cheap weapon. For urban warfare, I think I would prefer the old m60 vulcan for the rate of fire and faster slew rate of the smaller weapon.

I don’t think the weapons that blow up tanks will have problems with these. They’re probably using these because everything they have got blown up 😁🤣😂😂🤣😁
Deadly for who?? .Sounds scary but that's about it, I would like to know how the ammunition for those twin auto cannons is stored. Given the Russians inability to learn from its mistakes, I bet there is some kind of open carousel or feeder system inside that T-72 chassis that will be just as vulnerable to a javelin or NLAW strikes as all of the other tank variants, causing the whole thing to brew up just as spectacularly as all the other antique T-72's. As for the "explosive reactive armour", that hasn't worked out too well for them in the past, couple these factors with its extremely high profile, I think it's safe to say the Ukrainians will make pretty short work of them.
Seriously, that name really raises expectations. I'm not so sure that twin 30 mm cannons is really such a groundbreaking technology revolution in warfare or anything. Don't they already have tracked vehicles with all kinds of extra large caliber rapid fire systems? Like a Vulcan cannon, or a gatling gun? I'm pretty sure the U.S. army has stuff like this already mothballed and on to the third or fourth generation by now.
The Russians also have terrible protocols (or no protocols) for handling and storing their munitions. Also, they do not rotate it out as it ages… they just keep it forever!
Nato neeeds to give Ukraine cruise missles to allow them to fire into crimea, destroy the linking bridges, and hit units out in sea. Nato is helping but Ukraine always has a disadvantage with comparable military options.
Skip that and just give them nukes because they will still be at a disadvantage. So sad no one gave the Afghans or Iraqis any weapons when they were at a disadvantage.
@SophieSophs it all started under the premise that 9/11 (twin towers in NT et al) was planned by Osama Bin Ladin and he was being housed by the Taliban in Afghanistan. US was the aggressor and went in to Afghanistan. 20 years and trilions later nothing was achieved. The second Gull War US went in to Iraq without consensus from UN. Again the aggressor. No one helped the other side. Nothing like what we are seeing in Ukraine. Hypocrisy.

There is nothing "sinister" or "desperate" about these vehicles!
They accompany ALL tank regiments. They are local low level air defence!
The Russians used to use the ZSU 23/4.
A radar controlled anti aircraft system.
No need to be rude and aggressive.

This is an IFV not a tank, so even less armored. Expect to see Javelins melt these things.
Very nice. Based on a T72 chassis so other not completely new. Unless they have developed a new defence system its still going to be vulnerable to AT missiles like the Javelin. Just how much more equipment and personnel is Mr Putin willing to sacrifice?
And how much more room do Ukraine farmers have to store this stuff.
it's desparation to use these bmpt which are for show only after losing tanks

Nothing really new here, a lot of old ideas cobble together in a slightly different combination. Twin cannons been tried before, multiple missiles - available just about any modern army, T72 hull and chassis - no western tank men would wish to put their faith in that mess to keep them alive.

Bayraktar TB2, NLAW, Javelin be prepared for the new targets. Glory to Ukraine.
No men = more ammo... more ammo = bigger boom... I cant wait to see the fireworks hahaha

It’s good tech. The Russians tactics aren’t.
