My only complaint about this show was that they needed to spend more time giving us back stories on some of the girls to make them more interesting, and the audience more invested when they lived or died in the final gunfight,. I understand why the producers didn't. They didn't want the show to get bogged down. Pace can be a tricky thing, but it feels like they could have added a couple of episodes in the middle, if they wrote them right.
I was dissapointed too, but, he was the only law in town. He have no choice that stay in the office waiting for them. He knew that when he will open the door, he will die. F
Callum Thomas- The point of his anti climatic death was the irony in it. He tried so hard to be an honorable gunslinger in hopes of an honorable death, but instead his fate was the result of to much confidence and an unfair fight. “A good death is hard to find.”
I suspect the writers did that for two reasons, one is the shock value and the other is that with Whitey's skills, he could have carried far more than his weight and that would have taken from the women fighting Franks men by themselves.
SPOILER - - - - In the final big gunfight, when Callie is shooting at that one guy on the horse (Alonso Bunker?) and she can't get the shot off in the right chamber and he rushes at her on her horse.. then he crashes through the window into the flames below. "Don't forget the girls of La Belle - they'll send you riding straight into hell."
Well that's the point, and it's incredibly beautiful how they execute that point. The locusts, the families divided, the veritable plague and pestilence of Frank's gang. It was Godless insofar as Frank lived. And I don't remember what triggered it, but I just KNEW that the new pastor wouldn't show up until the very end. His arrival made the country no longer godless. Just seeing the church being built, and being aware of the fact that there's no one present to represent a connection to God.. it's broken. There's no connection to providence until Roy makes it so that there can be.
Ethan McWahaha Frank came across as the "God" of Godless when I watched it. He decided who lived and died, and acted like a father to both Roy and members of his gang.
Такая же фигня. Мне сам мотив - музыка и стиль исполнения кажутся очень знакомыми. То ли это из игры, то ли из фильма или сериала какого-то, слова точно другие, так как тут адаптированы, но сам мотив очень знакомый.
I found myself wondering at which point they were meant to have written this song. Did they write this haughty song about how they bone good AFTER all becoming widows?
to be fair, i think its the other way around. this was probably a song to attract people to the whorehouse before it was closed. everyone seemed too damn depressed to do anything like this afterwards
I wrote the original score / theme of the show. I believe the lyrics' first verses were originally from a writing back in 1880's about LaBelle. T Bone added a few original verses and wrote the original music for this song. He also took care of the source music / arrangements (Single Girl, Married Girl - Christ is a Mystery, etc)
@@RiveraComposer I don't know if you will ever see this, but the melody of the song sounds so familiar, it has some Korobeiniki in it i think, but its almost like ive heard the song before with other lyrics
*Spoiler Alert* The way that Whitey died gave me one of the hardest laughs I'd had in a while. Tons of time building the character yet with the brutal reminder that reality itself doesn't give a single f. It took just one bravado mistake and he found out.
This is song for me is not godless. All so much and over doings, are people believers of god and devil. The godless person is don't like so much, always balancing. Left, said for devil , right said for god. I am godless person i don't like so much. God and devil is came from the bible word and religion, I chosen at the center, i don't believe the died alive again. Died remain died. I laughing if i remember when i was praying before in heartily instead i saw the true world 🌎 i closed my eyes i saw the dark l, so my truth path experienced became dark and very horror or horrible life as like as how the religion made full of rage. Rage is came from religion or came from god to tortured all people become robot controlled the judgement words and word sin.

For fans of this song, listen to the end credits of this episode, there is a much slower acoustic version of the song played, it sounds pretty cool
эта версия звучит просто супер!

For a show that's called "Godless," there's a surprising amount of religious imagery.

This is what the kids these days call a 'banger'
Thank you for uploading this beautiful song. I wish someone could upload the cover of this song during the episode 6 ending
iFittex that version was really good! it sounded so eerie

is not necessary to be drunk to be overwhelmed from this song, nice composition
Just watched this scene and recognized the vocal melody from Tom Waits’s song Jockey Full of Bourbon.
Looked for this song after watching the movie) Thank you man!!!)
My favorite this year
Me too. 👌👌
just saw the last episode last night, absolutely fantastic show!!

How is neither this nor the slow version in the official soundtrack?
Nice song, love from Somalia

Filmed mostly in beautiful central NM
You can see the Sandias to the east of Albuquerque in numerous shots
This scene was a hoot.
SPOLIERS-My main issue with this show was how no important characters on the La Belle side died in the final fight. Only the bandits and Whitey.
Yup should’ve been Alice
Wish I knew how to play this on piano. Can't find a video anywhere
Song slaps
Favorite quotes from godless
1, " I can find you in the dark "
2, "you are slower than the second coming "
Damn tho, that kid was just trying to eat a sandwich
I found myself wondering at which point they were meant to have written this song. Did they write this haughty song about how they bone good AFTER all becoming widows?
tomb0wner lol good question haha. I figured it was written after the fact, like they had to come up with a theme song in order to attract people
Yes. They're mostly whores now, advertising their wares across the land with a catchy ditty
