knowing Dafne Guinness was Catherine O'Hara's inspiration, in part, for Moira Rose, now I want Moira Rose to put out her own records. that said, this is solid disco, and the vid is stunning, on par with her other collaborations with David LaChapelle.
Oh Daphne, I wish David and you could make a hundred music videos together. This is immense. The haute couture, the sets, the music, your performance - incredible ✨
I'm not sure I interpreted this correctly but the ending was pretty interesting. Seeing as she was the older, wealthy cougar and he the young, hot housekeeper I thought it would end in him breaking her heart. It made me happy to see I'm the end their feelings for one another were genuine. He loses his looks, she appears to lose some of her wealth but the love is real and there. Or I thought perhaps she was stealing his youth from him and that's how she stays young lol but even so she loves and takes care of him. Pretty sweet either way.
I think you're right. The video is also a homage to Jeff Koons' "Made in Heaven" which was a series of sculptures, etc. starting out with a movie-style poster. As far as I know Koons never did make a "Heaven" film, so it's as if they've brought that movie into being here. Another thing it reminds me of is Lady Chatterley's Lover by DH Lawrence. (Not sure if that was the intention though.)
At first this video made me think of DH Lawrence's "Lady Chatterley's Lover". Daphne reminds me in this video of the Italian actress/politician Cicciolina who was wife and muse to the American artist Jeff Koonz, then when I googled the matter I realized it was a deliberate resemblance, and the whole video is based on Jeff Koons' "Made in Heaven" (1989 onwards) which started out as a poster for a make-believe film (as far as I know Koons never did make a Heaven film) so it's as if they're bringing that film to life here.
Well, well, you have broadened my horizons, if proof was ever needed that there's a lot more we don't know than we do know...in the last 18 months it's certainly been the case.... Greetings old boy...🙂🎹🌴🍻✍😉
People just don't understand the iconic-ness of a Guinness/LaChapelle collaboration!! It's not supposed to 'take over' the music industry, this is ART!! If you've followed LaChapelle's career and work this piece makes perfect sense and it is so epic that this collaboration exists!!
does anyone know from where is the reference of the phrase at the beginning of the video? i'm just curious and it sounds so cool i wanted to use it for my facebook description, if anyone has some context you will win 5 points

She’s an old cougar? Uhh, okay.
@@annabellelovely4967 well yeah the character could be interpreted that way. Older wealthy woman, young hot boy......
I thought, for a second, her kiss would make him young again
That boy is indeed heaven 🤪
😊😊😊
THIS IS INCREIBLE.... we need more videos from you and David La Chapelle like this...
I'm always left in awe by LaChappelle. My icon. And this song Ms. Guiness is *chef's kiss*.

It’s from the movie “sunset boulevard”
ah, she is wearing my favorite dress from schiaparelli!
I want a feature film
It has an American Horror Story - Hotel vibe
OMG YES
Totally reminded me of AHS Freak Show when Elsa sings
Is it me or does this sound very similar to Yes Sir I Can Boogie?
I thought the same and I love it ❤
I love the "Yes sir, I can boogie"-vibes
Is this a reference to the Hunger?
You are DIVINE
Ooo nice
This sounds like it could be a Pet Shop Boys song
From 2 years Ago… I’m always behind the times…😂
