I made ice flowers out of paste clay✨
The aurora borealis color and silver chrome powder gives it an antique silvered glass look.
The delicate lines of the ice flowers are lit up with LEDs.
It's a fantastic world...
The paste clay used in this project is made from cornstarch, and unlike the paste clay made from resin clay, it is crispy and hard after drying.
It is also easy to peel off from the mold.
There are two types of clay: flexible resin clay and hard cornstarch.
I'd like to incorporate the characteristics of each into my work 😆

Mind-blowing gorgeous!!!! I was terrified throughout the video that the pieces would break. When you chromed the pieces after putting the flower together I was so nervous for you. You are an amazing artist.

LEDとか他の光源とかと組合せたらピンク系で作らなくても、夜桜みたいに見えるかもしれないですね😍

I was wondering what paste clay was! I make this at home already, wow! I think in the US it's referred to as "cold porcelain" for some reason.
That's what it's always been called, because it's very similar to porcelain due to it's finish

Amazing to watch, I love all of your careful steps. One question--during the 'Assembly' part, you don't show how to remove the rings that separate the layers of petals. Are the rings snipped open with scissors, and then gently pulled out?
That is a very thin plastic sheet made into a ring.
I cut it with scissors and removed it😀

I just mixed water-based ink with paste clay made from cornstarch. When lighting is applied, it shines like this.

How long does it take to dry this cornstarch clay?
If it is a line, 30 minutes is enough time for it to dry.

Paste clay made from cornstarch becomes very hard and tough when it dries.
So it's easier and more manageable than it looks 😀

Do you have a conversion list for times in microwave for other wattage microwaves? Mine is 700watt I think (not listed on front as its budget type) its kind of hard to get lower power versions where I live, 700 seems to be lowest we get (UK)
Also, does the cornstarch(also cornflour here but same thing) have to be in date? I still have a box that is past its best before/use by date, will that affect the clay mix?
If the power of the microwave oven is 700W, repeat for 2-3 seconds. Stir thoroughly each time.
Be careful, as the paste clay will harden quickly when heated.
If this happens, add a small amount of water and stir well.
I don't think it's a problem if it's past the expiration date/use by date. I can't give you a definite answer. Sorry.
