I’m not even lying when I say this, I stayed up until 5am on a school night just to watch this video and I’ve watched this video 3 times already and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. This might seem like a lie but this might be my favourite video on RUclips, this video has everything from a detailed video to comedy, from happy moments to sad moments and I just fucking loved it. Please keep doing what your doing

I got really emotionally invested in this video. It was hard for me to watch it today with the roommates because I was worried I'd find glaring faults. While I can pick out about a dozen things I'd consider mistakes, I'm pretty proud of this one. I'm finally starting to make videos that I'd watch, and it's pretty cool to see that there's a number of people who have also been enjoying them. I won't let you down, good stuff to come :)

Never in a thousand years would I have thought the concept of speedrunning this game, hell just speedrunning in general could be so emotionally impactful to both bystanders and participants. I've gained a newfound respect for all these people with their incredible talent, their unwavering commitment, their superb creativity, and their undying loyalty to this game. Thank you for making this small documentary, I truly think you've opened my eyes for the better.

Question: What would the speed running community do when the new update comes out? Would you make new categories for each chapter, eg Ch1 Any%, Ch1 NMG, Ch2 Any%, etc, or would you just make the categories extended? btw, i love the video :) you deserve more subs, keep up the good work
Oh yeah we were talking about that. Essentially when chapter 2 comes out we’ll have “individual level leaderboard” and “full game leaderboard”. Thanks for the kind words :))
For full game our current plan is to jumble together all old patch files per chapter into one full game old patch file so all skips are possible per chapter in a full game run

I was surprised when you said you don't to documentary styled videos often. I'm always curious about how speedrunning works in different games but find the actual gameplay just not that interesting, so seeing it all brought together into this sort of video is really cool! Make whatever content you find joy in but I'd love to see more of these style videos.

I never really got into Poppy Playtime, watched a few youtubers play it, but never picked up the game myself. But randomly I got your Poppy Woppy fake speedrun breakdown in my recommended and now I find speedrunning for this game really intresting lol. Also nice to see your more recent Security Breach out of bounds videos since I love that game at the moment.
I absolutely love all the comradery I see in this community and how a lot of the skip are named after the people that discovered or perfected them, love to see the common respect all the gamers seem to have for each other. (please forgive spelling mistakes, I was typing really fast)
Would love to see this updated with AJ's sub 5 speedrun using the Blue Hand Skip, but I understand that because it got it's own video it would be redundant.
Still, a very fun, emotional video! Poppy Playtime is what made me find this channel, and it's been a very pleasant experience diving into the speedrunning community, which I only began exploring a few weeks prior to all of this. Perfect timing!

Whenever i get to the skip where you lift the tub, to get across to the conveyor belt, the part youre supposed to jump to doesnt spawn for me. Do i need specific settings on to get it to spawn?
Can confirm, Huggy Wuggy was memorable. I mean, if you tune in to youtube one day to find your recommended videos filled with thumbnails containing a very distinct blue doll, thus essentially making one of your worst recurring nightmares from when you were a child a reality, you don't tend to forget.
Love how the code was shown in the first few seconds. Legit saved me like 15 minutes of randomly guessijg only to look it up.
Ultrakill 1-4 was maybe rather more insane speedrun scene
2 things: no 1. why did they make the front of the factory in ch 1 if we are not gonna see it. Perhaps it’s an unused asset for now. No.2 how come in the bosses office ( I forgot his name ) there is a yellow hand? In ch 1 there was a green handprint on the vent/in the vent and in ch 2 there was a green hand. Perhaps it will follow this “rule” and be a yellow hand. also there is a green and a yellow hand on the door that puts you n the Crain control panel in the part where you put the batteries in.

I have a crazy idea I would love to see someone pull off. All the other animatronics and can't helping Gregory vs Freddy. My theory is if you multiply the Freddy bot and put the other characters skins on you could just reskin the other characters with Freddy.

I have a question about speedruns. If you speedrun a game using a bug, but then this bug gets patched a few days later, is your speedrun still valid or will the website divide it into two kinds of speedruns (before and after the patch)?

Hey, I did some math, and your estimate at 29:11 was unfortunately very optimistic.
There are 14 possible battery spawns, right? So the first battery has 3 viable places to go out of 14. If that lines up, the second battery has 2 viable places out of 13, and the third has only 1 viable place out of 12 remaining.
3/14 * 2/13 * 1/12 = 0.00274725..., or ~0.275%.
It can definitely happen, but for about 1 in 364 odds to line up and requiring either a quick reaction or a reset if it doesn't happen, the great luck and great execution combined could even be considered TAS only.
Possible, but clearly improbable.
Edit: I'm stupid. Literally the second after I paused the video to confirm your estimate, you explained the trick of reloading a checkpoint to re-randomize the batteries. Getting them on your first try still might be ridiculous, but it's at least more reliable to land the luck portion now.
