The Slaws set off on their early summer holiday.They travel Dover to Calais on the new P&O Liberté, a hybrid diesel-electric ferry with two navigation decks. It's the longest double-ended ferry in the world!
As usual, they are travelling in Helga their Hobby motorhome with Billy and Jessie their Lhasa Apso dogs.
The first night is spent in the motorhome aire at Le Crotoy harbour. Le Crotoy is famous for its connections to Joan of Arc.
The weather is simply dreadful and the Slaws are heading further south!

Have been to Le Crotoy numerous times, mainly for the heritage railway. At least you had the confidence it would be sunny in Spain, I would have doubted it.
It was a bit of a gamble as our friends had been in Spain a few weeks previous and it had rained a lot! We were lucky 🚍☀️
You need an emovis tag ,so easy to pay tolls. lovely video
Funnily enough, Slaw isn’t that keen on getting a tag. Can’t think why 🤣🤣🤣
We headed for the coast durado the golden coast

Watched this last night. The weather here is just horrendous isn't it. If you told me it was March I'd believe you! The new ferry looks lovely, very modern. We love that your plans have gone and you're off to find the sun! That's what we'd do!! Cheers 🍻

I have just watched this and the previous VLOG together. I also had a thick peasouper fog in Dieppe two weeks ago. The weather here around Munich has still not improved with rain for the last five days!
The only bright spot has been that I was able to break out of the local hospital this morning but am still unable to drive with my broken ribs. I think it is fast approaching the time to cut and run.🥹🤕🤨

Thank you so much! I use whichever is on offer at the supermarket 🤣 Currently, L’Oréal Wrinkle Expert day cream and L’Oréal Age Perfect Golden Age night cream. Never pay more than £6 a jar 🤗

Sun-seeking with no CCF....let the fun begin🌞 that ferry was amazing. I could happily spend a few days on there. I did chuckle at Slaw...no tags because that would mean no smacky-bum-bum😂 lovely to see the babies...little Billy is certainly an intelligent pup. Good luck getting to Spain we were due to be by near Girona today could not get across the border due to farmers blockade absolutely chaos turned round and stayed in France.
Oh no! Yes, we arrived safely last week. We saw the signs on the motorway as we drove down, saying that the border would closed on 3 June 😢 Hope you got sorted 👍🏻

I am like Mrs S , like to plan every detail, but leave a bit of a contingency for change , we also use the emovis tag , found it so much easier , but also looking to use less toll roads next time , great vlog , thanks

Deja Vu, we were doing the exact same Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany etc. end of April but weather trashed those plans so headed to Bay of Roses, La Gaviota site being a lovely stop. If you’re going to Sant Pere Pescador try Mas Guso, dog friendly, Tiki bars a nice pit stop on the way back. Looking forward to Vlogs. Andy, Bev & Beatrice

For some strange reason Slaw isn’t keen on getting a tag 🤣 We have an airfryer. We’ve used it a lot on our recent vlogs since Christmas. At least on the Bury and Pateley Bridge vlogs 🤷🏻♀️

Great vlog as always. What did you manage to do with your existing bookings ? We have several in Germany for the next two weeks but I just got an email from Koblenz cancelling our weekend booking because of floods and I’m not sure what do to now. Hopefully the other sites will give us a credit and we can go back later in the year.

Did you get a Crit Air sticker to travel through Rouen?. We use the same route as you, we are trying a toll tag this time.
A nice area to stay is Leucate, there is a very reasonably priced municipal campsite near the lovely beach there.

Thanks for the reply, we have applied for one but not arrived yet although apparently you can use the invoice as proof until the sticker arrives. I don't mind going through Rouen on the return journey but the one south always seems more difficult. We will look at the weather and may decide to go south.

Hi Debbie, we really like Hendre Mynach in Barmouth. Lovely walk down the prom into town. Lots of pubs and cafes and if you like cycling the Mawddach Estuary over the bridge is a great ride! Have a look in our playlists for two holidays to Barmouth 🚍☀️

@@marktorrington4754 ah! A Yorkshire lad 👍🏻 Yes, we have a vlog showing our American Road trip. We had double slider side RVs. Fantastic! We took them from Vegas on part of Route 66 and part of the Grand Circle including the Grand Canyon. Hoping to go the Deep South in a couple of years’ time 🇺🇸

look on line for easy pass to use in france and spain for toll roads what i use is the BIP&GOt can be used in france=spain-portugal-and italy but you would need private individuals as im a professional truck driver

Hi, we both still work full time so can’t have long trips abroad yet. However, when we hit the big R, Slaw has an Irish passport so we won’t be restricted to 90 days 👍🏻
