  • Verifying blue smoke was coming from the turbos and not the engine.

Hi thanks for the video. I have a question. Is it possible to convert an N63 engine to a normally aspirated engine. Reason being for better reliability and better sound. I have an option to get one for my e90. I don't need that much power and I thought it might sound better with custom exhaust manifolds and ecu tuning. Happy new year.

Is it possible. Yes...would it be worth it...no. The engine without turbos is not going to be very economical or powerful. It was designed around the idea of it having turbos. A normally aspirated engine was built knowing it will be normally aspirated and so it will be more efficient and powerful than a motor built for turbos running without turbos.

@@joshuabmwguy6444 Thanks for the reply, that actually makes a lot of sense. I'd like to keep the new motor BMW but I don't want a turbocharged engine. I will keep on looking for the right motor. Thanks you for your knowledge. I've subscribed to your channel.
