Sawdust po ang bedding namin and we use pine needles as nest bedding we are yet to experience mites po. We have been operating since the start of the pandemic and we currently have 30+ Breeders and 100+ Chicks & for slaugther. Also breeding for grey/blue/D107 po. Pero I'm aiming with a pencil line pattern aswell.
Only one problem of your hatchery design is the cover because the hen usually lay naturally in the dark area so it must be cover and not directly pointed to the sun. It's not a big deal much but they preferred in the dark area so that your hen diligently lay eggs.
I have to agree. What I have observed as well is that the rolling receptacle of the eggs are directly exposed to sunlight, which could lessen the freshness or quality of the eggs. But I have learned a lot and am inspired of your chicken farming. Thanks for sharing!
