Glade to see the great weather and what a beautiful place! Fantastic an aggressive streamer take!!! Another great video my friend and I'm already looking forward to the next one
That streamer take was epic. Consistently super high quality content, and the best way to start the weekend with morning coffee and Alex doing what he does best.
Gorgeous bit of water Alex ... Living vicariously through you at the moment have moved from Wellington to Christchurch with work and missing the winter fishing in the Taupo region .. May have to hit the winter fishing in the canals
good one mate, a few good fish on the nymphs and streamers. good to watch the videos, I will really do my best to watch next video live with everyone else too! good on ya mate
Been using your single-hand spey cast skills, I see. Nice to see you exploring the streamer game and doing some different presentations with them. Thanks for another great vid!
Another gem Alex. Great day in paradise, despite the shidernein. It amazes me how you manage to fish and coordinate multiples cameras to get such cool imagery. You truly have a gift. Well done.
Alex awesome video bro as always! I Got rained out today so fishing was out of the question so i kicked back and watched your videos all day lol thank you for doing what you do bro !!!!
Epic stuff every time Alex. Full respect to your skill, passion and attitude towards the environment and fishery. Inspirational and highly entertaining as always.
Ridiculously great stuff! Man, I fish and tie flies whenever I can (translation: not enough), and still can’t wait for the next vid you post. Thanks for feeding our addiction.
just grabbed the trout express in the 150gr~ for my 5wt unweighted streamer setups, WHAT A LINE god damn, no more full sinks for me- that thing is a weapon and i dont have drag 3/4's of the line off the bottom of the river to get it in the air
I watched your video after about 8 hours of successful fishing. Still enjoyed watching you catch fish. Though I got some nice rainbows and browns, my fish were not as spectacular as yours. I’ll be doing this every day until the end of September.
unbelieved so low water, 3 months ago I fish there twice, fish was so solid only now all fish eaters are on the Tongariro after the dam fix is finished
Hey man. I Love your videos. Keep going 👍 One question... How do you film yourself holding a fish? Gopro? With what kind of stativ? The original seems a little bit to shaky for standing in the river. Best greetings from Austria 👍
Where did you get your new line? I am in the UK and the SA Sonar Trout Express isn’t available here yet, it isn’t even shown on the site for SA European distributors yet. I emailed SA a few weeks back and they recommended this new line for rivers, over the Titan 3D, because of the floating running line. Cheers. Chris
hi lex, I'm Todd and I'll be spending about 2 weeks in auckland from mid till end Jan 2024. I wish to do some fishing there like what you did. Would you think that is possible? I won't mind to drive north or south or you could show me some places if you aren't too busy. Cheers!!
I am headed off to New Zealand to fly fish. Google maps shows multiple active mines scattered throughout the entire country close to the rivers. I assume the fish might not be edible. Catch and release.
😂😂😂 Fish should be edible through all these areas. I usually keep one every few trips. A lot of guides and the like practise catch and release simply to help maintain our fishery. If everyone kept all the fish they catch, there'd hardly be any left for future generations.
Hey mate, Your videos are fabulous. Could you please give me your opinion on the 5 weight orvis Helios 3 F or the blackout 5weight? I’d be fishing small to medium size rivers and indicator fishing , dry dropper and dine steamers Cheers John
I just wonder why there ar so few catches in this excellent waters. When I fish in Austria I not seldom end the day with 50 catches a day. Of course not all 20 inchers, but some are and the rest is 15 inches on average.
Our fishery was over fished many decades ago. There are lots of images of people catching dozens or even hundreds of fish. It disappoints me every time I see one. However, fishing is not all about the quantity of fish you catch. For me, it's about just getting out into nature and enjoying some time out from the hustle and bustle of life. Actually catching a fish is simply a bonus.
On hooks there little metal bits called barbs they stop the fish from getting off but they come at a cost they hurt the fish and if the hook is lock it does stay in the fish Hope that helped?
What @n Awesome Place to fish On.
What a Beautiful Spot.....
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Great videography Alex, you should start a major video production, but then you couldn't fish as much, so nah, don't do that. Epic time, cheers 🍻🍻
