This wasn't just the first year I've been to Anthrocon, it's the first convention I've been to period!
Even though I was only there a single day, there was so much going on! Loved it!
I can consider myself as an Anthrocon Online Attendee because I was watching everyday live stream and every single Kite’s video. Like if you are also same as me😅.
P.S 1:07 wow, I am genuinely surprised that you know about my religion traditions😊. Every muslim should visit Mecca for Hajj at least once in a lifetime. And you know this year’s Hajj pilgrimage was right about 10 days before Anthrocon😅.
Someone once told me that AC is Furry Mecca and it's stuck in my head ever since. In a way, they're totally right since it's just the best experience there is in terms of conventions.

Also, for that sticker pole, I'm glad Kage mentioned on the last day for the future, NEVER put the stickers on the poles because each sticker is a $250 fine the con has to pay.
Yeah, it's crazy. I hope AC starts a charity sticker wall tradition or something. Even Pizza Parma had one inside but the footage I took of it was out of focus.
Someday in the future I’ll visit Anthrocon. But my family doesn’t have much money and we live so far away.
It’s going to be one of my life goals to visit Anthrocon at least once.

Ahhh there’s me at 2:48! I got so excited to see what AC was all about since it was my first time attending this con and it was honestly the best time of my life. Made so many new friends and felt more confident about myself! I’m so happy you are capturing a lot of those great moments here for all to see! ^^

I would highly recommended attending Anthrocon. It is the best run convention that I have experienced and the connection that it has with it's host city, Pittsburgh, is something that I have not seen in any other convention One of the highlights for me as a fursuiter is the moment that I walk through the east lobby doors onto 10th St and just seeing the residents of Pittsburgh come out and support the convention. It never fails to bring tears of joy to me. It makes the 2.5 hour wait in Hall C worth it. The block party afterward is awesome as well. I will continue to attend AC for as long as I am able.
AC can be overwhelming if its your first convention. I highly recommend going with friends and rooming with them. IT will give a base to work from and you can make new friends at the con. Expect to deal with lines for reg, main events, the fursuit parade, and the elevators in the Westin. Don't expect to get a close hotel if you're not paying for a super- or ultra-sponsor badge or room with someone who does. Those are negatives, but the atmosphere of the con completely offsets them in my view.
Agree with all these points, especially paying for sponsor to secure a hotel room and the long lines at reg. But since those were common things to every convention, I figured I'd look them over and focus on the positives.
This is all great supplementary information, and I might consider dropping it in if I do another one of these videos!
@@Kite Oh I totally agree with you, Kite. Anthrocon has become my favorite convention and It's earned a permanent spot on my yearly con schedule. I just wanted to point out potential downsides if one attends the con with an attendee badge. I have paid for a supersponsor badge both times that I have attended so far to avoid the lines, with exceptions of the Westin elevators and the fursuit parade, and to book a room at the Westin.
Thank you for recording so much of the convention. I missed floor wars and the dance competition during the convention as I had other plans. Being able to watch them through your videos has extended it for me.

What I'd give to have some of your energy, I don't know how you can keep it going all con long!
I’d so love to go to AC some day. But I’m in Australia and the travel down there are so expensive. Even flights to LA even. And that’s the only destination in America they do direct flights from Australia. And even that, I need to consider if I would rent a car to drive to Pittsburg, catch an Amtrak train or get a flight transfer from LAX to Pittsburg.
Well, there's no way you're driving from LAX to to Pittsburgh, that's literally like a 10 day drive.
Maybe you should do a longer trip and visit the US overall though!

They also offer wraps as part of the dog bowl promotions. I liked the chicken quesadilla wrap if it helps

I want to go to cons so bad but I have a phobia of people in mascot costumes 😢😢😢
Don’t know where its coming from, but it sucks being a furry and not being able to go to the best place for a furry.
It seems you have Masklophobia. It's an irrational fear of costumes and/or masks.
This phobia is more common in children, but adults can also develop it.
I'm not a professional in the mental health field, but I would ask you: Do you remember any past/recent experience involving a costume and/or mask that was scary, unsettling, overwhelming... maybe "too powerful"? Probably it's an unsolved trauma (a very intense and negative experience that set a "before/after" in someone's life) that began during one or more of these interactions.
You don't have to answer if you don't want to. Think about it and of course if you feel the need, seek for some professional help. Phobias can be overcomed. And it isn't something to be ashamed of: we all need help from others and our brain and heart (figuratively speaking) can be ill, just as any other organ.
Good luck and don't give up. Everybody deserves to be happy and feel safe.
