I stumble from band video to band video but Frank Dunnery is captivating. This is just brilliant. He keeps me here for hours. Go listen to Plastic dreamer and tell me it's not genius. Very much of the time, but who cares. Just a great listen. Educate your kids as to how good these guys were, and are.
Nice One Francis ... We met thirty years in ago in Frankfurt, backstage at the Festhalle Frankfurt .. after your gig with RP (0pening for L.Kravitz) ... I remember you saying, you weren't really into LZ (after you played a great gig and played some impressive Jimmy Page stuff ) ... I think you said sth like, you heard many LZ songs for the first time on that tour and you learned your stuff by listening once or twice to the records ... that shocked me 😄, ... still remember that today ...
It took me 30 odd years to see Francis Dunnery. Every song, I was close to tears 😢...... it was worth the wait !!!... and He's back in January 2024, same venue. I will be there !!!... awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, that's a blast from the past, that was a great documentary. Frank and It Bites blew my mind as a kid when I saw that. Remember the black dude in it, who played like Hank Marvin. He was based in London at the time and was trying to forge a career in music. Well, by some odd twist of fate, he ended up in Swansea in the 90's, he used to come into the music shop I used to work at. He was super cool dude, I cannot remember his name. I have no idea what happened to him after I stopped working there in 1995.. hope he's still about.
Terrific they're doing this live - great version. Like a mellower Steve Hackett Band dare I say but with a less polished late 70's/ early 80's feel - which is a very good thing in my book of Prog.
It Bites' answer to "Supper's Ready". The band deserved so much more success, but were let down by Virgin Records who didn't know how to market them. This video brought a lump to my throat - thanks for uploading! Can't wait for the new album - they go into the studio in December I believe.
Magnificent, good old Frank. Saw It Bites at the Hammersmith Odeon with my best friend Mike Wedgwood (of Curved Air, Caravan, etc). We were left speechless: so was everyone. Frankie still using his “really cheap” Squire Strat: fu%% me, only he can make it sound like that. The wonderful Peter Jones on keys, who has no sight at all - what a player he is! 😍😍
Ihat1st 'The Tube's they grabbed my attention. High quality songs, played well. Shame they didn't get that br 4:25 break they deserved. Dave Newport S.Wales
no idea why there are now two guitarists!!! and two on keys !!! frank played all this stuff live on his own no problem. just goes to show what a great act It bites were.
It's nothing to do with laziness. He's playing everything he used to play live back in the day. Luke is there to put in the overdubs which are only present on the studio albums.

Francis ticks every box there is for the music industry🎼
Serious guitar player frank...love hos voice too
Still got it. never lost it. Bravo frank,
So much love man! This song has a special place in my heart. God bless you guys!
This track is up there with the greatest prog songs. Cheers.

Wonderful, lost count how many times I saw them back in the day. This was superb.

Awesome....after all these years
Francis Dunnery , saw him in Sheffield a quiet one years ago.
great to see him fly again.
Absolutly amazin song and band!❤
Qué cosa más grande !
One of the greatest prog rock albums ever made , great to hear it again.
Great prog track. I love it so much.
What album? I'm a newbie, but now obsessed.
@@TheTrainSideGraffiti-x5n Title track from Once Around The World, It Bites album, 1988.
They deserved sooo much more success!
Still rocking a Squire - what a legend - Equinox
Yep, still remember that documentary. "Obscured by his powerful amplifier is Franks favourite, £100 guitar"

Last saw that live in 89 in Cambridge. It's been a long 35 year wait Francis.
Superb ,,The perfect summers of drumming along or trying to xxxx
À marvelous musician and a amazing group!
Excellent
Omg .How good is this ! I wish that I was there . Francis please come and play at a venue in Kent .
One of the best ever
Really underrated
So good and the guitar playing awesome. Makes it talk on every track
One of the best
Thanks, IMO the best song of It Bites, Francis is a legend
Nice music
IT BITES avec Francis DUNNERY c'est juste le meilleur groupe PROG des 80's. Merci pour votre musique.
Saw him at the Bush Hall a few years back. Truly one of the best gigs I ever attended.
I was at this gig and it was an amazing night. This song as the encore was the icing on the cake. Magical.
Good but sounds like one thing missing Mr John beck the guy was a pure talent we miss you john
Lord love him!! Saw IB about 9 times, love 'em to bits!!!
Hands down the best gig I have ever seen and I have seen some epic gigs 🤯
Best gig I have ever been to
The dude on second guitar looks like Francis did in the early 90's!
The awesome Luke Machin.
This is awesome. Has a Genesis meets Yes feel.
Pure genius......
Greatest band that never was!
🎼👌
IT BITES split in 1990, but still people come, to hear them, especially with their original, unique singer Francis Dunnery.
Terrific they're doing this live - great version. Like a mellower Steve Hackett Band dare I say but with a less polished late 70's/ early 80's feel - which is a very good thing in my book of Prog.
Saw you twice in Newport, S. Wales.
The band were cooking on Gas those nights. Great gigs, happier times
🎷
Think the New Drummer Coped With That Very Well
Cheers Francis 👌
Absolute magic, thank you for posting.
Whar a shame....Francis Dunnery and It Bites deserved a carrer and history like Genesis, YES, Gabriel, Rush...so incridible talent
Unbelievable gig

Thank you so much for uploading! I couldn't make the gigs but this was a great second best, really appreciate it.
That crowd singing ❤️what a night
The last time I saw that performed live Frank had long hair! 😂
Damn. I had a ticket but I couldn't get to go.
No,but I did! Thank you for arranging the ticket.😁
Those passages near the end are insanely tricky and heavy duty..lobe those it bitz

Yup, that gig was a corker! I was there too. 🤘😎

Still got the vocal chops too.
The young bloke's stolen Frank's hair.
no idea why there are now two guitarists!!! and two on keys !!! frank played all this stuff live on his own no problem. just goes to show what a great act It bites were.
Yeh get rid
There are two guitarists, because Francis wanted to have the guitar overdubs in, which were on the studio records.
Proper fans
Wearing his original leather jacket !
Was convinced Frances and John were the It Bites...
Ma è il Francis che ha suonato con Robert Plant...come è invecchiato non lo riconoscevo. Ma fa buona musica!
Genesis. Somewhat. But it's cool !
you hear collins or gabriel?
Effortless, note-perfect, sausage fingered virtuosity. Ace
He wears his guitar FAR too high!
Francis can wear his guitar as high as he likes.
Love how he has it skyhigh
Frank getting lazy with a back up guitarist
It's nothing to do with laziness. He's playing everything he used to play live back in the day. Luke is there to put in the overdubs which are only present on the studio albums.
