@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada thank your for the explanation! I didn’t know about this and adjusted my grinder to a finer settings. It didn’t jam the grinder but I was worried if that could mess up the calibration
Thank you for the helpful instruction. My question: 18 grams of ground coffee is way too much for my 58mm filter! it does not even fit in the group. 15 gr. works for double but 9 gram for single. Even when I get the 30ml extraction within 20 to 30 sec I do not get nearly as much crema. Is my coffee too dry? or too dark? or a bit stale? or am I missing something else?
Wish you would dial in with Vario 886. I am having all kind of trouble dialing in my new Vario-886. I've had conical burr grinders for years. The Vario-886 is my first flat burr grinder. Yes, I'm using fresh roasted coffee 7 to 10 days from roast date.
Thank you for the suggestion, I will try get a Vario specific video made. We haven't recorded much lately due to covid but we will be back with a ton of new content soon
I would love it too! Just purchased a Vario 886 from iDrinkCoffee, and I am still learning how to dial a minimally decent espresso. For whatever reason, it always comes over extracted...
Thank you for a very clear and understandable instruction video.
Very helpful thanks 🙏. First time using my Sette 270
Did you have shims installed on the sette?
no, it's a stock grinder I used in this video
Can i know what is your setting? 6? How about the micro setting?
I am using the finest on that setting. It matches the macro detente and easiest to come back when I switch to something like brew.
It was 7 and betwe F and G
Hi , what's the weight of the coffee beans for a single shot of a espresso ,great job 👍 ,l follow you

Thank you
What happen if you adjust the grinder finer without running the burrs?
you can jam the grinder. When you adjust finer you moves the burrs closer together and if there is coffee inside the grind camber it gets squished.

Hi. I had same problem with NO-Crema. You try to buy Maromas Orphea coffee, I get much of crema with that coffee.
If you can't get 18g dose in 58mm portafilter basket then your grind is way too coarse.

Isn’t 16 second too much time to grind for 18 gm
Why is that?
Hi @iDrinkCoffeeCanada I'd like to know your micro settings too please.
Hi, I'm sorry but I don't remember. This video was recorded more than a year ago
Lol first
Great video
Thank you.
I start at first drip.
