The best thing about watching interviews like this is that we get to see all these people who have made a name for themselves in a totally down-to-earth light. It makes those big goals and dreams I have seem so much more reachable when I see that yes, these guys are real people too and they started from the bottom too and if they can do it, why can't I? So thanks for that, guys. :)
@@LonnyEagletonMusic Your videos and career have come so far! I think you are one of the few (newly introduced band members) that people have taken a liking to right off the bat, keep up the good work!
Been a huge Avril fan since I was 13. Congrats to Matt on landing the gig of a lifetime with Avril. I know Avril was out of the music scene for awhile due to medical issues. Its inspiring that she is back and strong. I respect Avril for her perseverance and strength of kicking ass. So congratulations to the both of you for both landing well deserved gigs. You both rock. 😊🤘 P.S. Lonny, you are the reason I am going to pick up the clarinet again when I am medically cleared to do so. Thank you so much for the new goal inspiration. I miss the clarinet very bad. It's been ten years since I had to let it go due to medical reasons(I suffer a rare migraine disease called spontaneous intracranial hypertension which means I leak CSF leak in my brain out my left nostril).
This is so incredible discussion!!!! So interesting one, I could have been hanging on with this video for hours, so relaxing time. 💯 Thank you for this!!! 🖤🤘🏻
Nobody but the fans really talk about Avril's live band members, but these are cool guys and deserve some spotlight as well (Even though she makes a point of introducing them every show) Dan Ellis, David Immerman, Matt Reilly, Chris Reeves, Steve Ferlazzo. I always thought that her live show is where she really shines and she always has awesome guys performing with her.
You should totally make this a series titled Bass with Lonny! You could have other great rock bassist like Chris Kael of Five Finger Death Punch, Johnny Christ of Avenged Sevenfold, Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue etc. It would be really interesting to see their stories. 😁🎸
I really enjoyed this discussion with Matt I also just want to say that I am Super Stoked that you now play bass with Black Veil Brides Much Love to you Lonny... your BVB fan from Vernon BC

wow ! I loved your interview Lonny! in the way you do it and you develop in it as easily as a professional in it! It's amazing how you can do this perfectly! I also love Matt's hair! it is great in any color! beautiful photos that were also shown there! I hope and you can continue doing your more interviews with more artists since you did very well !! congratulations also for this !! it was a great job !!💖👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🦅
Thanks Pam! This was my first time ever interviewing somebody. Had a great time though and am looking forward to doing more in the future. So happy you enjoyed it! 🙌🏻
See I don’t know from being in a rock band setting but I definitely feel the energy and am part of the energy and that is what it feels like to me with Marching Band it is part of my life and just everything and everyone brings the energy and it is so amazing like you Lonny with Black Veil Brides it gets crazy sometimes lol
I also forgot to add that I loved the interview it is super cool to hear about the behind the scenes and how you two both feel about it and what it is like for you two especially you Lonny going from loving Black Veil Brides to being a part of them that is literally a dream come true way to go can’t wait to see what you post next!
Great interview. i really enjoyed the format where you were interviewing each other at times. I am unfamiliar with Avril but listening to Matt gave me respect for her.
@@LonnyEagletonMusic that's a tough question....if you wanna do more bass players i would love to see you interview Jaime Preciado (bass player for Pierce The Veil) .... but i don't know if you know him in person so i don't know if you can make that happen... :D just in general i'll watch you interview anyone :D hugs :) Cathy
Thanks Debby. This was my first time ever interviewing anybody, but I had a great time. Planning to do more in the future. Who else would you like to see me interview?
@@LonnyEagletonMusic I think you should do Interviews with bass players from all the Popular bands It's clearly an unnoticed Art form many people don't understand how much work goes into it I mean the Lead is always front and center But without the bass player the rhythm is just off....
Oh and the Tour bus stuff you didn’t miss anything in high school I got to go 2 spring breaks ago on a tour with my band and the orchestra and the choir was with us and we went to Budapest,Vienna, and Prague and we had 3 tour buses and we had to all fly on 2 different flights I get there and bringing my really nice trombone made me so anxious but I loved it we had full house concerts and it was insane. But yeah you definitely didn’t miss out on tour busses in high school they get insanely crazy lol!
Hey Christy, I’m hoping to film more lessons soon. Working on a couple other video concepts first, but should be able to get to some lessons in the coming weeks. In the mean time feel free to checkout my Lessons Playlist on my channel page to see some past tutorials. 🤘🏻
Also Lonny I have a question for you. So for me Music specifically band has always been apart of my life and is really one of the way I cope with some of he hard stuff I am going through and I was wondering if you feel the same way? Because for me anytime I pick up one of my trombones and start playing it is almost like the whole world just stands still and it really allows me to just let go and be in the music. So yeah I just want to know if you feel the same way whenever your playing?
Yes! Nothing more fun than playing an instrument, especially with your friends and in front of a crowd. Glad you’ve found a healthy way to escape from the challenges of life when needed. Cheers!
Hope you guys enjoy my discussion with Matt! Be sure to go follow him on social media, links are in the video description. Thanks for watching! 🙂🤘🏻
No problem, haven't finished watching yet but loving the intro!
Would never miss a video 🤟🏻🤟🏻🖤🖤
Such a great interview!! Hope you’ve had a wonderful day!!
From bassist to bassist..what a great and sincere interview!
Guys thanks a lot, you've been truly inspiring !
Love the tattoo story, too!
Which Helix model does he use for bass? I also love the Ampeg and SVT tones ...it's the best sound for bass!
So I see, two nations from world of music,AVRIL and BLACK VEIL BRIDES are having a discussion 😅😅😅!!! Great sir!!!
Okay but that intro is rad
Edit: Lonny responded and I’m trying so hard not to scream holy crap-
Thanks! Worked hard on it, glad you like it. 🙂
Thanks again, I had a blast doing the interview! I will report back with my Rock Star movie review. 💙🙏🙏
Fun story filled with every rock cliche that Hollywood knows, but still entertaining. Based on Tim "Ripper" Owens when he joined Judas Priest.
Oh yeah - dug your interview, too!
A pleasure having you on the channel Matt! Thanks for coming on. Excited to hear your thoughts on the movie! 🙏🏻
