This was great advice. I've been booth renting a room in the back of a barbershop for 7.5 yrs and am relocating to a suite in September. I also reduced my schedule to thu-sat once covid hit and my clients understood and now it's my permanent schedule. I agree w everything you said about not raising your prices until you solidified the loyalty and I plan to wait about 6 months as well. Even though technically I been working for my self 7 years this suite makes me feel even more independent bc I can decorate how I want and its my rules. I'm excited for this next chapter.
Building a relationship is super important..... and as I am learning people sometimes just want someone to talk to, and as barbers it’s always good to listen

how do u go thru sitting in a shop with days of literally 0 clients not a single person walks in asking for me because i’m so new what do u do build frm this standpoint
I got my license 4 years ago and I was working in a shop with two other barbers and left and opened my own shop cuz I wanted my own space and I'm still opened and do nothing but appts that's the best way to build your week I work alone and cut like 50 to 60 cuts in 4 day's so u know what ur talking about
