15:54 I had no clue that was another aeros weapon until you zoomed in on the ammo count indicator and shows "aeros" in text. I'm happy that Meridian isn't going be the only one with plasma like based weapons.
I believe that Aeros weapon is a kinetic weapon (it isn't plasma). Supporting this idea is that the gun, unlike most Aramid weapons we've seen, seems to have shot orange bullet tracers suggesting its a kinetic round. Additionally, that gun can also be seen ejecting a brass from a bullet to the right side of that screenshot. Aramid/Meridian seems to be specifically energy based, and Aeros and Sabrask are kinetic based weapons but modified in their own unique ways.
You do realise they have like zero original work their balance system isn’t even theirs the weaponry is literally halos arsenal reskinned so you should be worried if they are going to have a cod weaponry system could be a halo 4 repeat
(9:37) I have doubts that this is on Venus. Venus has one of the thickest atmospheres of any planet in the solar system, yet you can see the stars in this screenshot. Of course, it's a game and doesn't have to be accurate to the real-life solar system (Venus is also partially terraformed in the Splitgate 2 lore), but I'd also just put out the theory that it could be a space city/station, possibly even one orbiting just above Venus.
Safe to say (as it's a fictional world), perhaps the colonization of plants (or terraforming) can cause these planets to change. For example, Frontier shows the red sand of Mars but still shows trees, grass, and even people living on Mars, wandering around with any type of oxygen tank or sorts in the Rhinok comic.
@@KomaBlader when I learn how to Triple portal the skills gap between me and casuals was super wide and I was almost Untouchable so I think it would be great if there is some type of cool down on how much quarterly you can do and a window of time
i'd rather not have arbitrary limits on portaling because it's just fun to do. if they want to de-emphasize portaling through map design tho that's cool
Why did this game even get a second game? The first one was so bad with its skill based match making that it made the game borderline unplayable. Some nerd would find the one portal spot to spawn kill you without even being next to you. So like idk it was a good idea on paper but every nerd and their mom will be playing it. I’ll pass not tryna play a wanna be halo and portal hybrid that will never be balanced.
SG1 ended due to a mix-up of art styles and overall being in an old game engine. As for Halo, it's not in the best place either, but SG2 will be slower gameplay wise than SG1 due to the reduced portal walls and such.
@@khalilanarchy you* learn to spell check first off. And I don’t know where this “well received” comes from everyone I know said that game was absolute trash. And they weren’t wrong. You didn’t pay attention at all back when this game was at its “peak” then. It was good for a week then everyone realized it’s trash and dropped it. Split gate 2 is gonna come out. SG1 had promise, but unfortunately there were specific things that the devs KNEW worked and didn't work. They knew that the skill ceiling was too high, and they are bringing that now as a result. Triple portaling might be very limited, and there are more gameplay elements for replayability. I understand this might be a bandwagon, but let the game at least show us gameplay before you write the game off as a re-release and something you won't touch. Don't judge a book by its cover.
What do you think about the potential of Splitgate 2?
This game deserves some success, the portal thing in a FPS game was really fun!
17:47 WE GET MULTIPLE SIDEARMS! More than one type of pistol is epic.
ok your idea about the split smg using portal tech to transfer ammo is awesome
Nice job koma best break down ive seen so far!
Appreciate it.

i wouldn't be too worried about the balance in the class system. 1047 managed really good balance even when they were 4 people.

@@KomaBlader That would make sense.
A cool down on popping portals is a good change
It's still questionable if a cooldown is present, but I think so, too. The reduction of portal walls helps reduce portal spam.

They had a better idea and faith in their game so they focused on it and I believe they may've made something great this time.
