- EASTER PATTERN SWISS ROLL
(Inspired by Molang and piu piu)
Ingredients pattern mix:
15 gram softened butter (1 tbsp)
15 gram powdered sugar (2 tbsp)
15 gram all purpose flour (1 3/4 tbsp)
15 gram egg whites (1/2 tbsp)
Gel food coloring
Ingredients cake batter:
5 egg yolks
70 gram milk (1/4 cup)
60 gram oil (1/4 cup)
90 gram flour (3/4 cup)
Liquid food coloring
5 egg whites
65 gr sugar (1/3 cup)
Filling:
4/5 strawberries
200 ml heavy cream (1 cup)
30 gram sugar (2 1/3 tbsp)
Tray size: 30cmx33cm (13x11 inch)

I tried doing it but failed, the design sticked to the parchment, i think i over baked it or took too long making the design hehe! Any other tips? Love your videos. Super relaxing to watch, but girl!!! This thing takes skills and patience. Kudos to you :) please post more videos please. Stay safe
same!! I’ve tried multiple times with no success. First I peeled the paper right away, then I waited a little, I baked it the exact amount of minutes as the video says, I’ve baked it longer, in wax paper, in parchment paper, refrigerating the design, freezing the design, and so on…I genuinely can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong 😢

I know these comments are a bit older, but it might help someone else. I see other videos grease the lining very lightly (like with spray and then wiping it off with a paper towel, or very lightly with butter). It might help

Is there a different technique to make the initial art with the same material as the rest of the cake? I've noticed my cake had 2 different textures between the art and the background
No worries the 2 different textures is normal :) I wouldn’t recommend using the batter mixture, because it will never be as precise at the other mixture and the butter in the pattern mixture is needed so it’ll set when putting it in the fridge. The cake batter will not set in the fridge, which means the pattern won’t be visible or blend away into the rest of the cake.

How did you color the design white?
They used white food coloring. Or you could try a drop of violet which brightens the off white by removing yellow tones the same way purple shampoo brightens blonde hair.
