Oh my gosh, it's 734! Like others have said in the comments. I also got to ride behind this locomotive on mountain thunder back in like 2016 or something. I was a much younger self and it was the first time I rode a steam engine through a tunnel. The crew there took a liking to me and invited me to come and help restore 1309 at the time but I didn't have a reliable transportation and I wasn't a fully licensed driver yet so I never got to go. Years later I've visited the facility and found that 734 is rusting away in the yard unfortunately.
That is one cool locomotive. I really like the passenger announcements, which add a nice touch. I don't miss the whistle steam, though, as it is fine just the way it is. An excellent video, as always.
Very nice MTH model of Western Maryland steam power history, Chris. The whistle sounds a bit gravelly, though. I actually think I have this model, still packed a way in its box. Thanks for giving it a run.
I love this engine, the fireball is very cool - I wonder if MTH or Lionel will release it again. I rode on the Western Maryland this summer unfortunately none of the Steam engines were running.
I always find it extra special when MTH takes the time to put the real recordings into their locomotives. Wish they did it more often. - Ryan
WOW! I really like that whistle!!!
The National Capital Trackers is planning to have their modular train layout on display at the MD College park aviation museum

I rode behind the 734 several years ago, great looking "small" loco.

8:04 the polar express is just sitting there chilling
Did a couple rail fan trips back in 2012 riding behind 734. I have the Proto 2 version #830.
Man that thing's got one fat boiler! A real Basset Hound of a locomotive! Way cool!
Thanks for bringing it to us Chris!

Rode behind 734 twice as a kid around 2009-2010. Absolutely love this!
Great engine. Nice reenactment of the Frostburg MD turn around.
Very cool engine and pfa!
Great video!!!
The real 734 was an H7, but the differences are minor. Looks great! I have number 839.

Those are great pullers. Awesome loco. Never been a fan of crew talk, other than that thing is awesome

OK, I am jealous. Where in the hell did you get this thing?
I’ve got one of those.
