Day6 always do studio live recording, meaning it's processed after the live record. That's why we got a clearer sound and great mixing in the vocal track. For the instruments, I think most of it is live... but with a backing track. Wonpil always has his laptop somewhere to play the background track.
I've also been trying to figure out how "live" this is since I watched this video. This doesn't sound like the actual studio version completely though. I think there's definitely both live and studio elements in this. I mean, I think most of their official uploads are. I hope you get to watch the actual live versions like the concerts or festivals, busking, vlives, radio versions, etc. They did vlives after each month's concert like, a sort of afterparty where they did mukbang and then an acoustic version of the title tracks, which are both great musically and hilarious at the same time (with Dowoon making drums out of random objects and even breaking a wine glass at one point).
Even at their concerts they perform to a backing track, but they still play live instruments. It probably wouldn't sound the same as the studio recording if they didn't use the backing track. Still amazing to listen to 💜🔥
Happy 2000 days to our superband DAY6. And finally, Day6 Confirmed to be preparing new album as full group ! On the 26th, JYP Entertainment told Sports Trend that "We are preparing for a new album and will let you know it is confirmed". 😭😭😭😭😭
This is actually my favorite song they have. It’s the one that had me searching for them because it just makes me feel so inspired and uplifted. I kept hearing my sister playing it and it took me forever to figure out what song it was. It’s always so fun to see how different people’s favorite songs of Day6 are.
I’m not sure how much of this is live (definitely there vocals tho, because you can tell the difference if you listen to the studio audio) but the fact that you thought it was the audio version makes me super proud of them!!!
I think this one a little bit different from i need somebody. They sing this one live i believe. Same goes for I'll try. The audio definitely studio. But they clearly sing it
They perform this on the actual street actually, you can see cars and people walking so i guess they have to mute some noises and it result to mute some part of their instruments thats why they put the studio version too over the live performance? I might be wrong tho but this definitely live. Theres a myday who coincidentally at the same location during they film this and shes so shocked bc Day6 play this at the outside during winter bc it was so cold at that time. But again, i might be wrong. Thank you again for the reaction as usual! Cant wait for you to get into their Japanese stuff bc their jpn stuff are sooo lit since they worked together with the legend Shinichi Ubukata
You should watch Day6's Introducing my Instrument series, it's around the EveryDay6 era and they talk a little about their journey with their instruments. It's not super gear based but it still gives you a chance to look at some of their stuff.
This is live vocals over a studio track with the background harmonies (except for YK's ooooo ooooo), and I think they do play the instruments live, but over a studio track as well. This is a sinilar set-up for when they do music shows.
It could be playing live over chorus backing track cos the bass clearly sounds a little different. Singing is probably live. Day6 live singing is very close studio version. Me saying from experience being in their concerts.
This is a great concert song Pretty sure this is not the album version of the audio, possibly live then mixed??? I like this live version though *D6 TBM - BETTER BETTER* from _deisikss_
This is definitely live but as you know DAY6 always put sound that generate via computer / synth so there always like that in their concert. Like, the have a backup sound that didn’t including their instruments and voice. How can they do that? Their band practice room have this technology that they can record the instruments directly, so they don’t have to be in recording room..? Please continue to react to their releases one by one until the latest release.
The way I usually can tell if it's live is if Dowoon's drums are mic'ed because, sadly, they don't bother to do that unless they are really performing live.
Unfortunately this isn’t always the case. For example the JYP 2018 live stage. Drums were mic’d but none of the Day6 instruments were live. It was all studio recording
@@SommReacts of course that's not always the rule, but I noticed that for the most part that is a good indicator. I don't think the drums in the kbs jyp stage were mic'ed and the drum set was a smaller set than what Dowoon usually uses live. Also, the guitars are not usually plugged in during tv broadcasts but they do sing live most of the time.

I'm not sure about the instruments, but the vocals are totally live (not including backvocals)
This is live, u can tell the different. If u hear the studio version, its very different

Better Better is one of the most requested songs by My Days in concerts because the woah part is so fun to sing along!
I think this one a little bit different from i need somebody. They sing this one live i believe. Same goes for I'll try. The audio definitely studio. But they clearly sing it
day6 always impresses me, every time they come with something new or a new music genre, you'll see that soon as you continue your journey with them

To identify DAY6 live performance, you will see cables everywhere.. and if they plug it in, then the performance is live
Musinsa really gave us trust issues. 😅 with that, we really can't justify live performances anymore with this statement. 😄

Thinking back now I don’t remember if they had those drums mic’d though, so I guess I’ll just have to watch it again
