Man i really hate the Ult sharing. I didn’t get why it existed at first. Stun and support characters have useless Ults, cuz 98% of the time u have to ult with ur dps to make the most out of it. Like bro i wanna see all the cool animations for my team, but i cant cuz i have to ult with my dps only. 😂
I gotta say, I am floored with how open the ZZZ team is. Not only creating a roadmap to address almost every single major community concern, but talking so candidly in these developer interviews. This is a level of change and communication you don't see from most WESTERN studios. It completely runs counter to the usually very closed doors mentality of the HSR and Genshin teams. I love it.
It's like they specifically looked at Genshin and HSR and said "ok here's what we shouldn't do" and are way more in touch with their player base. Honestly this is the only hoyo game I play because of how good this dev team is.
I started zzz a few weeks ago to grind enough for Jane doe, and I knew I wouldn't like the TVs, but DAMN in the beginning it's rough. Later tho, I ended up liking the TV mode during the Victoria chapter cause it felt like we were actually exploring a spooky building. When i did Jane's chapter....honestly I didn't really like having to walk around and chat to 3 dudes just to spam thru. If they put a skip button for unvoiced dialog, I'm OK with no tvs. I think they just have to be super creative with the TV stages and put them in where it makes sense plot wise.
On that Jane's chapter part, having to walk around and chat to 3 dudes, yeah i really hated that, literally the only thing i didn't like in that chapter. Everything else was fine tho, love the rally style combat, but i kinda miss the TV lol.
Guys thats cap, you mean to tell me you could you hate *JANE DOE* walking to talk to 3 people. Did you not notice the walking animation, the jiggle physics, and the tail distraction. To me that was the top 2 best part beside her doge mechanics. (I would probably hate it with other characters so i get your points)
As I indicated on reddit, The TV system - being a flexible chessboard game architecture - isn't bad by itself. The core problem is it is completely at odds with _the actual gacha content the game is trying to sell_ . Very few are throwing all that money to buy highly-polished 3D characters, wengines, maxing builds for real-time combat just to move them around in a highly abstract 2D representation. If it's a full-on 2D game from the get-go, people are less likely to complain since nobody can escape what is being advertised.
City exploration/TV mode/Combat are basically 3 completely different games which are only connected by story, not mechanics. So what you need to ask yourself is: If the TV mode was its own standalone game: would you play it? If the answer is "no", the game will become better by removing it.
@@gustavheinrich5565i disagree, i think certain parts of a game can be more valuable in the context of the whole game. there's a reason why we sometimes say a game is "greater than the sum of its parts". the TVs aren't amazing but i think they're useful for slowing down the pace of the game, if ZZZ were nonstop combat then it would be a little tiring. they can also be used for story events and puzzles that are hard to portray in regular gameplay. to me the real problem is that the ZZZ team has been too reliant on the TVs, we don't really get cinematic or interactive moments in the standard gameplay that aren't related to combat. would like to see them get more creative with combat segments instead of just using TVs all the time.
One thing that that I love in ZZZ is how well the character models are designed, both for playable characters and NPCs. Each character feels like a natural part of the world, blending in seamlessly. Unlike games like Genshin Impact or HSR, where it's easy to tell an NPC from a playable character, ZZZ makes it much harder to spot the difference. Some people don't like maybe how plain or simple some of the character designs are but I really appreciate how this helps make the world feel cohesive and immersive, where every character looks like they truly belong without standing out too much.
IMO these WuWa ZZZ and even HSR's dev log is letting the players know one thing, that their voices are being heard. This is important. The biggest reason as why so many players are frustrated with Genshin is that a lot of them feel that their voices arent being heard. Ofc you still have to be able to deliver what you promise, but at least what these do is that it can buy the devs more time to implement the changes.
lots of games have been ruined because they listened to people's voices on the internet. alot of the times its just people who dont even play the game but are loud with their opinions. Making changes that cater to these people will ruin the game for people who actually plays and like the game

At the end of the day, I think the company is responsible to differentiate the good and bad feedbacks from the players. I mean business intelligence team exists for a reason. Re: Lock on, I'm a filthy console player and let me tell you Zhu Yuan is a nightmare to pilot in double elite scenarios. Well over half the time you land that stun on an enemy and chain it out, the target lock magically finds itself on the Farbuti ten miles away instead of the dude you're trying to burst down. It's a minor annoyance for most characters, but since Zhu Yuan is a stance character, trying to get her to face the right enemy is vital to her entire gameplay. I really hope it feels more consistent in 1.2 because it's easily my biggest complaint with the title as a whole.
A pc player here and this is honestly true even without lock on. My zhu yuan/s11 will find a way to hit the elite ten thousand miles away from my stunned target. Hell even while locked on it magically just breaks from the enemy and goes towards the one running towards me?? I get genuinely annoyed when that happens especially during the twin ballets 😩
ZZZ adding the feature like "quest resource management" is the biggest W for mobile users. Genshin has had this feature and I wish HSR added it too. Saves storage space a lot.
I think it is very appearent that the devs for ZZZ work with a whole new system behind their development cycle, more independant from how Mihoyo in general usually operates. At least from this livestream, they appear more transparent and pragmatic when it comes to criticism. A huge W and Devs listened moment for sure. I am glad they take the criticism to heart.
When it comes to TV mode, even tho they say they won’t utilize it anymore in the story mode. I feel that they should use it if the narrative calls for it because of the proxy’s and their role in the hollow. Regardless, I’m cool with more combat tho because I love it so much.
Something to note about the ultimates no longer being shared among characters…. This makes me believe that we are getting more support units with non damage dealing ultimates because as it stands it only make sense to use the ultimate of the person who deals the most damage on the team. I hope we get the “Robin, Verina, Sparkle, Ruan Mei” of the game soon
Actually so crazy when they talked about resource/stamina bottenecks that halt progression. I feel like as a regular gacha gamer, I just accepted this system since it is the standard, kind of forgot that devs could totally choose to address the issues in some ways lmao.
The character banner very expensive,and even weapon banner have freaking 50-50 system. The only thing in W for ZZZ is graphical quality on cinematic cutscene and fan services. I wish they did reduce the pity count for this game,but it's hoyo

Imagine pulling for a 5 star support character with a banger of an ultimate but not actually able to see them cuz it is necessary to use the dps ults....I don't know why they came up with a shared ult in the first place
The idea is that different unit ults are optimal depending on the situation. Might not be how it works currently but it's weird how apparently no one can understand that it could and should work this way.
It always look awesome at first then after a while we’ll get tired of watching 3 cutscene just to get our team at full potential. I always try to play character with independant ult in genshin’s open world for that reason
I think its a clever way to avoid the Genshin gameplay syndrome- Skill Ult swap which is what the game has devolved into. What ZZZ needs is for Ults to have distinct advantages based upon the class of the characters. So support agents would give teamwide dmg buff on Ults, Defense agents would give hyperarmor (like Caesar's) on Ults, anomaly agents would double the most recent anomaly status effect on Ults, and Stun Agents would apply stun damage multiplier debuff on recent enemy on Ult.
Talking about lock-on and target priority, I’ve never had the issue hitting a box by accident I’ve actually had the complete opposite problem. I’ll be ~10 meters from an enemy and standing right next to a box and lunge away from the box towards the enemy
What never happened: Character suddenly switching targets from enemy to a box What always happens: Character trying to destroy a box and locking on to an enemy 5miles away, which can never be reached with an attack, and REFUSING TO SMACK THE BOX IN FRONT OF THEIR NOSE. Glad they fixed this issue by weighting the focus even more on enemies at the other side of the world. >.
Phaeton being a hacker is a cool concept but, i think the TV decision is a miss opportunity; they could've done it much more immersive; like, let players experience the actual levels and inside those levels they could just add some visual FX (pixelated, digital etc. Silver Wolf from HSR style) that represent Phaeton's guidance through the level itself; we already have those levels in game, they just need to mash some of them together to make it like a bigger instance with different rooms or whatnot.
The only thing I’m worried about them axing TV mode is how they’ll present Fairy and the Phaeton going forward. The TV portion allowed them to show Phaeton to do problem solvings for the Agents. My favorite part was when we were following Zhu Yuan and Qingyi into that hollow and had to solve puzzles to try and clear the path for them.
Hold up, so 1.2 story was a precursor of the gameplay of what's gonna happen for main story, where we can actually use the agent in the overworld? I'm all for it!
Less tvs, getting to run around as Jane Doe, getting to use all my characters ults, and getting to go into shops/more places and that feeding my want for "open world" in a not open world would make me very happy. Especially getting to run around as premium units. That has bothered me since day 1 bc even in HSR you get to run around as your units. Hell, let me run around as a bangboo I've pulled doing goofy bangboo quests lol. I don't dislike the Proxy anymore but they're not why I'm personally playing. Would love more of them in the story part of the game but I want to play as my units more. The units and combat are why I'm even still playing.
For Lock-On, I always felt Kingdom Hearts 2 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time did a good job with the system. Hopefully devs can polish it to those levels, especially with the ease of switching targets. As for Agents in the city/town, have to remember that the Agents were not originally supposed to be playable in those areas so they didn't have walking/jogging animations. They have to add them to every character currently available (since only Jane, Caesar and Bernice have them). If they want each character to be unique then it's not as simple as copy/past from the existing animations of Wise and Belle. And yeah, characters like Ben going into areas they weren't originally built for will be mind-racking as that'll fall onto either: making characters smaller, changing the areas, make certain areas change size/design based on the Agent your using, or make a notice appear telling you that the character is too big and that you'll have to swap to enter smaller areas.
The solution for the ult thing is easy. Just make 1 ult cost 1000 deciple instead of 3000. Edit: of course, you gonna put cooldown on the ult or sth but I think that's just not fun. just let me do Ellen Ult 3 times and balance around that.or damge scalling like in a figting game. If you ult 3 times it just gets weaker and weaker.
@@elstrangeenemy887 then the system for increasing decibel output will have to be redesigned. Because from a technical point of view, you can quickly gain your ultimate again with frequent parries and swaps. Especially in Hollow Zero
If they adapted the way Mega Man Battle Network (GBA game) works, like the jacking in and playing/battling online, the element of two worlds would be very enjoyable. It's also Capcom too.
Ult sharing might be the worst thing in ZZZ, It just cut off two character ult. I mean why would you decide a game where you don't want people to use an ult on some character.
I'm guessing they'll add more ults with utilities in the future since right now they're just mostly "big damage" abilities (which aren't really needed for stunners and supports).
You... Do realize this problem arises from the loop of "Beat this stage under X amount of time" right? and not the shared ult mechanic right? For example, in the disputed node I more than not tend to use my stunner/support/defender Ult for I-Frames and because I like it, you have just be conditioned due to the time limit and that's honestly pretty sad lol
So basically the top gacha game developers in a nutshell: ZZZ and WuWa devs: The hardworking honest student. HSR: The gifted prodigy. Genshin: The lazy loud student.

I am so happy to hear them putting so much emphasis on the roguelike/hollow zero mode, making it even more compelling and dynamic and fun to play at the same time as they make people who just want their weekly points be able to do so quickly.
So which is it? They totally contradicted themselves one minute. They’re saying they’re going to get rid of TV mode and story and events and then they said they’re not going to completely let go of TV mode.
I hope they don't entirely remove TV mode from the story. It's an interesting and unique way to tell the story. It especially worked well in chapter 3, where you had the dark pathways and the lights. They can just add a skip button to skip the sections for story skippers, or a fast forward/autoplay for people that want the story without the TV gameplay. With TV mode gone, the game isn't much different than HI3rd or PGR in how it tells a story.
Its good to see these changes and improvements coming so quickly after release instead of 4 years later 😂 I feel like the Devs actually listen to us and our feedback.
I'd not mind a date mode for around Valentine's Day with a bonus you get for completing it. Just be limited to one of the agents though who would get the bonus of more health, attack, Ect. We get to pick what it is we want them to be stronger at.
For me as PC player, the only thing i'd like for the lock on feature to be more enjoyable is to add option for it just lock for attack and not camera, because most of the time if you locked in on some enemies, the camera lock you on that mobs and can't give you free look for the rest of the enemy making it kinda annoying to rely on sound cue only for dodging/parry incoming attack from behind.
IMHO Ultimate rework can go this way: 1) Decibel Max Limit will still be 3000. 2) Each Character Ultimate has specific Decibel cost in order to use it. 3) Ultimates that primarily deal an Fton of Damage will cost more Decibel to use but ultimates that deals decent damage but mostly deals massive daze/anomaly build up cost less, the same with De/Buffing Ultimates. 4) Install Ultimates if we ever get them, would drain Decibel count while it is active. Decibel drain would stop if the unit switches out or If incase the ultimate summons an entity on the field the decibel drain would continue until it is unsummoned(or dies). For building up Decibel faster i would really want ZZZ to implement a Stylish System like in Devil May Cry. It doesnt need to be complicated all it does is give you a Stylish Rank that increases when hitting enemies, dodging/deflecting attacks, Causing anomalies, stunning enemies, Switch attacking enemies and it goes down slowly when you don't hit enemies, get hit or perform evasive maneuvers. Stylish rank in ZZZ would be: z - Starting Rank gives 1 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 2 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount) Z - Starts with 30 hits gives 1.5 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 3 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount) zz - Starts with 60 hits gives 2 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 4 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount) ZZ - Starts with 90 hits gives 2.5 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 5 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount) zzz - Starts with 120 hits gives 3 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 6 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount) ZZZ - Starts with 150 hits gives 5 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 8 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount) *Every 30 hits you rank up *Getting hit would drop the Stylish Rank by 1 stage, unless the hit is absorbed by a shield and the unit doesn't lose HP. 11:26 Regarding the "vision", I think I know what you mean. Essentially lore wise (I think) our job as proxies is to be a guide in the hollows, which are like hyperspace labyrinths. Therefore having us - the players - explore these hollows that work like a labyrinth while on a mission with whatever agents you're using and have Phaethon be there as the bangboo Eous being a guide who tells you which direction you need to go, what portal you need to take, etc. That would most definitely require much, MUCH more effort but when it comes to how the telling of the main story should look I think that's one of the best approaches they could make.
Nearly all these issues were why I dropped the game and when i pointed it out i was called a kuro shill. Nice to see the devs looked past all the fanboys and took the feedback seriously. Big W for tge ZZZ team

Sharing ults sounds so bad, i don’t wanna be sitting there spamming ults. And this is a nerf to burst dps characters like zhu yuan who are never on field to build up their ults
In arknights we have a endgame content called contigency contract, where you choose conditions and enemy buffs to beat a stage, making things pretty hard, if you want it. I think it would be an amazing idea to add those criterias in shiyu defense, and add some more variation. Example: you need 3 stars to get all rewards, one star you can choose to get while completing at a certain time, and you can choose to get more stars under lower clear times, but you can also choose to get the other 2 stars completing other conditions, like beating the enemy without dying, buffing the enemies damage or even doing 10 defensive assists during the stage.
I think what they can do for ults is instead of all team members share the use of an ult but rather share the decibel points to use their ults. For example, have Ellen Joe's ult cost 1500 points.

For hanging out with the Agents part, I’d actually like to invite the Agents to play in the Arcade like that one mission where we get to play the Snake game with Billy Have each character have unique voicelines as they play and change their AI depending on if they’ll be good at playing games or not Like for example if they ever make a Gamer character, have that character’s Arcade AI be cracked and meanwhile if you invite a workaholic like Zhu Yuan who doesn’t have time to game, her Arcade AI will be pretty bad
It was a neat concept but the way ultimates work in the game now just doesn't make a lot of sense for a live service gacha. You want to sell me a character and their animations, but 2/3rds of the team never uses their premiere animation/ability. I think it could work with significant changes in character progression design but given how ZZZ is, it's a change that does need to happen.
One thing I think we definitely need is a stamina bank for any days that we’re not on triple Z just like we have a trailblazer energy bank in HSR. This would make things a little more forgiving.
Instead of tv mode, the proxy can guide you through the hacked bangboo doll which will keep the game pure action oriented and maintain the hacker element. The old-school TV mode can be kept as a separate mini game to earn poly currency and other useful mats. Also, please for the love of this game, make it to switch between your agents in place of Belle and Wise while roaming through town because what's the point of having all these expensive agents that you can only see briefly in combat. I mean I really wanna show them off!
i think they should just get rid of the force swap mechanic during chain attack instead just let the character icon glow so the combat flows much smoother and has more freedom and let us customly chain attack with our bangboo for a certain char like our main dps, because going through 1 2 3 chain just to let bangboo do chain attack is kinda clunky
@Gacha SmackI’m also confused about the Fairy thing. It seems like you have to complete it manually first before Fairy will auto-explore. But like, I think myself and most players gather all the rewards on the first run. And you only get rewards from Exploration missions once… So can somebody explain to me what the point is or what I’m not understanding?
In regard to the lock on system: devil may cry seems to be my ideal representation of this feature. If a particular enemy is my focus because of either damage priority (attacking while stunned) or wanting to eliminate specific enemies first, then I want the character I’m driving to have the same focus. In DMC you can change locked targets very easily at your own discretion or not at all. (This is my salt and I half assed my explanation) 🎉

Yo Smack, maybe you mean like those sceens popping up like in starfox N64 for example. Like you see those chars in a small tv screen in lower corner and they give you advise / commands etc. So using that for the proxy
Ult sharing removal makes the game cooler, but much easier. EDIT: I enjoy the TV mode in most aspects. But I would like it being used in some other ways. Like, if they eventualy release co-op for this game, one player could be in the combat stage, while the other will be the guide in the the tv system. Probably extremely hard to pull off in development though.
I like the idea of Phaethon actively engaging w/ you during a mission how you mentioned. I can see the vision. Navigator from Persona 5 performs in a similar fashion. Cutscenes mid-battle, such as boss fights within the story, could improve immersion if handled correctly as well. This might be wishful thinking but I think this game could pull off quick time events somewhat like the Naruto Storm franchise. it has the aesthetic for it
I didn’t play Zzz and i’m a wuwa player that always be grateful because on how the dev is treating their players. tbh after seeing this, I really glad on how Zzz dev is listening and keep improving their games constantly since 1.1. they truly earn my respect. With the way it is now where most devs are keep improving QOL of their games, it proves that gacha games are heading to the right direction. i really hope that we as the players can also be more appreciative and rooting for this cause instead of hating on each other for no reason so that we can have a better gaming experience ahead. ps: spell check

Lots of chraxtwra ults in the game provided both damage and additional utilities like buffs ans what bot but because ults were shared it was a case of do I really want to use this X supports ult over my dps?
My simple thought is that TV Mode should stay in the exploartion side missions only. Combat already doesnt have it, and with story no longer having it, i think its better. As for including it in the story mode, select little parts of missions taking on tv mode to reperesent the hacking would be ok. Like say you are exploring a stage and come to a crossroads, enable the proxy tv screen mode to help figure out which way and similar things would be better use of it. Tbh i think one of the biggest issues I hear is that they advertised it primarily as an Action RPG game and then its tv mode isn't really an action game. I think its ok that this game isnt open world but I think it would have done better as a game with some open regions like Desitny for examole. It would give players a little more to do and wouldnt feel like such a closed in world. (I like linear games but with a gacha game with characters and combat like this I think its not the best choice.)

The TV system - being a flexible chessboard game architecture - isn't bad by itself. The core problem is it is completely at odds with _the actual gacha content the game is trying to sell_ .
Very few are throwing all that money to buy highly-polished 3D characters, wengines, maxing builds for real-time combat just to move them around in a highly abstract 2D representation.
If it's a full-on 2D game from the get-go, people are less likely to complain since nobody can escape what is being advertised.
City exploration/TV mode/Combat are basically 3 completely different games which are only connected by story, not mechanics. So what you need to ask yourself is:
If the TV mode was its own standalone game: would you play it? If the answer is "no", the game will become better by removing it.

the TVs aren't amazing but i think they're useful for slowing down the pace of the game, if ZZZ were nonstop combat then it would be a little tiring. they can also be used for story events and puzzles that are hard to portray in regular gameplay.
to me the real problem is that the ZZZ team has been too reliant on the TVs, we don't really get cinematic or interactive moments in the standard gameplay that aren't related to combat. would like to see them get more creative with combat segments instead of just using TVs all the time.
One thing that that I love in ZZZ is how well the character models are designed, both for playable characters and NPCs. Each character feels like a natural part of the world, blending in seamlessly. Unlike games like Genshin Impact or HSR, where it's easy to tell an NPC from a playable character, ZZZ makes it much harder to spot the difference. Some people don't like maybe how plain or simple some of the character designs are but I really appreciate how this helps make the world feel cohesive and immersive, where every character looks like they truly belong without standing out too much.

IMO these WuWa ZZZ and even HSR's dev log is letting the players know one thing, that their voices are being heard. This is important. The biggest reason as why so many players are frustrated with Genshin is that a lot of them feel that their voices arent being heard.
Ofc you still have to be able to deliver what you promise, but at least what these do is that it can buy the devs more time to implement the changes.

Re: Lock on, I'm a filthy console player and let me tell you Zhu Yuan is a nightmare to pilot in double elite scenarios. Well over half the time you land that stun on an enemy and chain it out, the target lock magically finds itself on the Farbuti ten miles away instead of the dude you're trying to burst down. It's a minor annoyance for most characters, but since Zhu Yuan is a stance character, trying to get her to face the right enemy is vital to her entire gameplay. I really hope it feels more consistent in 1.2 because it's easily my biggest complaint with the title as a whole.
A pc player here and this is honestly true even without lock on. My zhu yuan/s11 will find a way to hit the elite ten thousand miles away from my stunned target. Hell even while locked on it magically just breaks from the enemy and goes towards the one running towards me??
I get genuinely annoyed when that happens especially during the twin ballets 😩

ZZZ adding the feature like "quest resource management" is the biggest W for mobile users. Genshin has had this feature and I wish HSR added it too. Saves storage space a lot.

I think it is very appearent that the devs for ZZZ work with a whole new system behind their development cycle, more independant from how Mihoyo in general usually operates. At least from this livestream, they appear more transparent and pragmatic when it comes to criticism.

This makes me believe that we are getting more support units with non damage dealing ultimates because as it stands it only make sense to use the ultimate of the person who deals the most damage on the team. I hope we get the “Robin, Verina, Sparkle, Ruan Mei” of the game soon

It always look awesome at first then after a while we’ll get tired of watching 3 cutscene just to get our team at full potential. I always try to play character with independant ult in genshin’s open world for that reason
I think its a clever way to avoid the Genshin gameplay syndrome- Skill Ult swap which is what the game has devolved into. What ZZZ needs is for Ults to have distinct advantages based upon the class of the characters. So support agents would give teamwide dmg buff on Ults, Defense agents would give hyperarmor (like Caesar's) on Ults, anomaly agents would double the most recent anomaly status effect on Ults, and Stun Agents would apply stun damage multiplier debuff on recent enemy on Ult.

Talking about lock-on and target priority, I’ve never had the issue hitting a box by accident I’ve actually had the complete opposite problem. I’ll be ~10 meters from an enemy and standing right next to a box and lunge away from the box towards the enemy
What never happened: Character suddenly switching targets from enemy to a box
What always happens: Character trying to destroy a box and locking on to an enemy 5miles away, which can never be reached with an attack, and REFUSING TO SMACK THE BOX IN FRONT OF THEIR NOSE.
Glad they fixed this issue by weighting the focus even more on enemies at the other side of the world. >.
This, together with Wuwa and HSR should be a wake up call to all developers.

Another Idea i can think of is instead of tvs you play as eos. Then your camera swaps to the agent that is following behind you upon combat
I really like this idea. I feel it lends itself well to immersion and more fluid storytelling.
Phaeton being a hacker is a cool concept but, i think the TV decision is a miss opportunity; they could've done it much more immersive; like, let players experience the actual levels and inside those levels they could just add some visual FX (pixelated, digital etc. Silver Wolf from HSR style) that represent Phaeton's guidance through the level itself; we already have those levels in game, they just need to mash some of them together to make it like a bigger instance with different rooms or whatnot.
The only thing I’m worried about them axing TV mode is how they’ll present Fairy and the Phaeton going forward. The TV portion allowed them to show Phaeton to do problem solvings for the Agents.
My favorite part was when we were following Zhu Yuan and Qingyi into that hollow and had to solve puzzles to try and clear the path for them.
Hold up, so 1.2 story was a precursor of the gameplay of what's gonna happen for main story, where we can actually use the agent in the overworld? I'm all for it!
Less tvs, getting to run around as Jane Doe, getting to use all my characters ults, and getting to go into shops/more places and that feeding my want for "open world" in a not open world would make me very happy. Especially getting to run around as premium units. That has bothered me since day 1 bc even in HSR you get to run around as your units. Hell, let me run around as a bangboo I've pulled doing goofy bangboo quests lol. I don't dislike the Proxy anymore but they're not why I'm personally playing. Would love more of them in the story part of the game but I want to play as my units more. The units and combat are why I'm even still playing.

For Lock-On, I always felt Kingdom Hearts 2 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time did a good job with the system. Hopefully devs can polish it to those levels, especially with the ease of switching targets.
As for Agents in the city/town, have to remember that the Agents were not originally supposed to be playable in those areas so they didn't have walking/jogging animations. They have to add them to every character currently available (since only Jane, Caesar and Bernice have them). If they want each character to be unique then it's not as simple as copy/past from the existing animations of Wise and Belle. And yeah, characters like Ben going into areas they weren't originally built for will be mind-racking as that'll fall onto either: making characters smaller, changing the areas, make certain areas change size/design based on the Agent your using, or make a notice appear telling you that the character is too big and that you'll have to swap to enter smaller areas.
The solution for the ult thing is easy. Just make 1 ult cost 1000 deciple instead of 3000.
Edit: of course, you gonna put cooldown on the ult or sth but I think that's just not fun. just let me do Ellen Ult 3 times and balance around that.or damge scalling like in a figting game. If you ult 3 times it just gets weaker and weaker.
That’s actually good, or maybe like make it range between 1000-2000, if they don’t want us spamming ults, then make other ults more worth it.

I hope they don't entirely remove TV mode from the story. It's an interesting and unique way to tell the story. It especially worked well in chapter 3, where you had the dark pathways and the lights. They can just add a skip button to skip the sections for story skippers, or a fast forward/autoplay for people that want the story without the TV gameplay.
With TV mode gone, the game isn't much different than HI3rd or PGR in how it tells a story.
Its good to see these changes and improvements coming so quickly after release instead of 4 years later 😂 I feel like the Devs actually listen to us and our feedback.
I'd not mind a date mode for around Valentine's Day with a bonus you get for completing it. Just be limited to one of the agents though who would get the bonus of more health, attack, Ect. We get to pick what it is we want them to be stronger at.
For me as PC player, the only thing i'd like for the lock on feature to be more enjoyable is to add option for it just lock for attack and not camera, because most of the time if you locked in on some enemies, the camera lock you on that mobs and can't give you free look for the rest of the enemy making it kinda annoying to rely on sound cue only for dodging/parry incoming attack from behind.
IMHO Ultimate rework can go this way:
1) Decibel Max Limit will still be 3000.
2) Each Character Ultimate has specific Decibel cost in order to use it.
3) Ultimates that primarily deal an Fton of Damage will cost more Decibel to use but ultimates that deals decent damage but mostly deals massive daze/anomaly build up cost less, the same with De/Buffing Ultimates.
4) Install Ultimates if we ever get them, would drain Decibel count while it is active. Decibel drain would stop if the unit switches out or If incase the ultimate summons an entity on the field the decibel drain would continue until it is unsummoned(or dies).
For building up Decibel faster i would really want ZZZ to implement a Stylish System like in Devil May Cry. It doesnt need to be complicated all it does is give you a Stylish Rank that increases when hitting enemies, dodging/deflecting attacks, Causing anomalies, stunning enemies, Switch attacking enemies and it goes down slowly when you don't hit enemies, get hit or perform evasive maneuvers.
Stylish rank in ZZZ would be:
z - Starting Rank gives 1 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 2 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount)
Z - Starts with 30 hits gives 1.5 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 3 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount)
zz - Starts with 60 hits gives 2 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 4 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount)
ZZ - Starts with 90 hits gives 2.5 Decibel per hit and evasive maneuvers, gives 5 decibel per energy Used.(Crits, Perfect Evade and deflection/Block gives 2 times the amount)

Stylish Rank Z, ZZ, ZZZ also provide energy regeneration per hit Z 1.5x, ZZ 2x and ZZZ 4x of the normal amount.

11:26 Regarding the "vision", I think I know what you mean. Essentially lore wise (I think) our job as proxies is to be a guide in the hollows, which are like hyperspace labyrinths. Therefore having us - the players - explore these hollows that work like a labyrinth while on a mission with whatever agents you're using and have Phaethon be there as the bangboo Eous being a guide who tells you which direction you need to go, what portal you need to take, etc.
That would most definitely require much, MUCH more effort but when it comes to how the telling of the main story should look I think that's one of the best approaches they could make.

3x ults, 3x the style points and best of all, NO F-ING TVs.
In arknights we have a endgame content called contigency contract, where you choose conditions and enemy buffs to beat a stage, making things pretty hard, if you want it. I think it would be an amazing idea to add those criterias in shiyu defense, and add some more variation.
Example: you need 3 stars to get all rewards, one star you can choose to get while completing at a certain time, and you can choose to get more stars under lower clear times, but you can also choose to get the other 2 stars completing other conditions, like beating the enemy without dying, buffing the enemies damage or even doing 10 defensive assists during the stage.
I see the TV mode like the Matrix movies. As it’s just like how zzz works both have their operators and agents to guide through the system

It was a neat concept but the way ultimates work in the game now just doesn't make a lot of sense for a live service gacha. You want to sell me a character and their animations, but 2/3rds of the team never uses their premiere animation/ability. I think it could work with significant changes in character progression design but given how ZZZ is, it's a change that does need to happen.
One thing I think we definitely need is a stamina bank for any days that we’re not on triple Z just like we have a trailblazer energy bank in HSR. This would make things a little more forgiving.
OK, I just saw that. They are gonna do something like they did an HSR that’s excellent.
Instead of tv mode, the proxy can guide you through the hacked bangboo doll which will keep the game pure action oriented and maintain the hacker element. The old-school TV mode can be kept as a separate mini game to earn poly currency and other useful mats. Also, please for the love of this game, make it to switch between your agents in place of Belle and Wise while roaming through town because what's the point of having all these expensive agents that you can only see briefly in combat. I mean I really wanna show them off!

i think they should just get rid of the force swap mechanic during chain attack instead just let the character icon glow so the combat flows much smoother and has more freedom and let us customly chain attack with our bangboo for a certain char like our main dps, because going through 1 2 3 chain just to let bangboo do chain attack is kinda clunky

@Gacha SmackI’m also confused about the Fairy thing. It seems like you have to complete it manually first before Fairy will auto-explore. But like, I think myself and most players gather all the rewards on the first run. And you only get rewards from Exploration missions once… So can somebody explain to me what the point is or what I’m not understanding?
In regard to the lock on system: devil may cry seems to be my ideal representation of this feature. If a particular enemy is my focus because of either damage priority (attacking while stunned) or wanting to eliminate specific enemies first, then I want the character I’m driving to have the same focus. In DMC you can change locked targets very easily at your own discretion or not at all.

Yo Smack, maybe you mean like those sceens popping up like in starfox N64 for example. Like you see those chars in a small tv screen in lower corner and they give you advise / commands etc. So using that for the proxy

Ult sharing removal makes the game cooler, but much easier.
EDIT: I enjoy the TV mode in most aspects. But I would like it being used in some other ways. Like, if they eventualy release co-op for this game, one player could be in the combat stage, while the other will be the guide in the the tv system. Probably extremely hard to pull off in development though.
TV mode is great for side missions and seeing what they do for more mini games.
I like the idea of Phaethon actively engaging w/ you during a mission how you mentioned. I can see the vision. Navigator from Persona 5 performs in a similar fashion. Cutscenes mid-battle, such as boss fights within the story, could improve immersion if handled correctly as well. This might be wishful thinking but I think this game could pull off quick time events somewhat like the Naruto Storm franchise. it has the aesthetic for it
I didn’t play Zzz and i’m a wuwa player that always be grateful because on how the dev is treating their players.
tbh after seeing this, I really glad on how Zzz dev is listening and keep improving their games constantly since 1.1. they truly earn my respect.
With the way it is now where most devs are keep improving QOL of their games, it proves that gacha games are heading to the right direction.
i really hope that we as the players can also be more appreciative and rooting for this cause instead of hating on each other for no reason so that we can have a better gaming experience ahead.

Now they have to make characters with ultimates that provide to support. As far as I know its all DMG ultimates.
Lots of chraxtwra ults in the game provided both damage and additional utilities like buffs ans what bot but because ults were shared it was a case of do I really want to use this X supports ult over my dps?

My simple thought is that TV Mode should stay in the exploartion side missions only. Combat already doesnt have it, and with story no longer having it, i think its better.
As for including it in the story mode, select little parts of missions taking on tv mode to reperesent the hacking would be ok. Like say you are exploring a stage and come to a crossroads, enable the proxy tv screen mode to help figure out which way and similar things would be better use of it.
Tbh i think one of the biggest issues I hear is that they advertised it primarily as an Action RPG game and then its tv mode isn't really an action game. I think its ok that this game isnt open world but I think it would have done better as a game with some open regions like Desitny for examole. It would give players a little more to do and wouldnt feel like such a closed in world. (I like linear games but with a gacha game with characters and combat like this I think its not the best choice.)
