Cool video mate - belt replacement (for someone with experience) is pretty straightforward (it's best to make sure once you fit new belts that they are nice and straight all the way around - otherwise you will have wobbly sound/uneven speed when playing a tape).
I had this similar model years ago. It was the Panasonic lable. I don't think it had shortwave, but, it did have 3 extra FM tuners. The empty spot on the front left, where the brand is, was 3 selector buttons for each extra tuners. On the back, was 3 knobs to dial in the stations. This made switching to stations quick, I really liked this when I used to record off the radio. This kind of setup was a cool alternative to digital tuning and having station memory.select.

si los hay pero el costo es muy importante. las radios de ak generalmente tienen mucho mas trabajo que las que tu puedas ver ak. su estado es muy malo y por lo general hay que hacerles muchas reparaciones para llegar a un estado optimo.. y eso todo se reduce en $$$$ saludos

Of course! After everything dries out perfectly everything should work just fine! Nothing could be harmed with water, as soon as water is not effecting electronics while it's NOT plugged to the power, and there's nothing to worry about! I was also thinking the same as You before I haven't examined myself, that You can wash everything with only water, but after water everything should be dried out perfectly, that's everything You need!

The speaker boxes on these old systems are so badly sealed that I wonder it might be worth you experimenting with fitting foam gasket around the join where the two halves screw together and putting a great flap of felt at the back to cover over the grill and wire management spool. Try to turn it into a more airtight box. ...of sorts.

Most common problem for for cassette player is the rubber belt.
Yep, i have a mini stereo system with tape decks from 1999. Surprisingly the belts seem to be in good condition. Guess someone replaced them.
