Hell that was a great spot to ride in ! Wouldn’t mind that myself , and the fall colours made it that much better ……you say cat house ….. now that would be something to find in the middle of f all lol
I love your vids but that bacon was damn near blasphemous 🤣 Beautiful scenery though. Fall riding is always the best. Nothing like a nice lake side campout to relax.
Gotta love those fall colors... it $25 for a permit? YIKES! That's half of my yearly membership with my group. I'm jealous of all those lakes... many... many potential camping spots haha. Awesome food as always! Thanks for sharing.
25 isn't much really if you think about how many ppl from South Ontario trailer up there for amazing trails. I think it's a pretty cheap day of fun. I was paying 150 a year to ride my local club and it was 80% rail bed 5% bush and 15 road lol. I find it's cheaper getting day pass for the north since I only get up there once a month. But ya, it's nice up there. One of these days I'll spend more than a day and do some fishing
@Rob Miller ATV OH wow. Are you're trail passes mandatory? I get that not everyone thinks of fishing when they see water lol. I can't help myself... haha.
@- GhostSportsmanATV - ya u can get trespassing fine if not permitted. It's all insurance related. And the rest of the money usually goes to trail expansion and maintenance. But mostly for insurance. Trails cross and run down county roads and some go through private land. That's the reason for the liability insurance.
@Rob Miller ATV Manitoba is different, you don't actually need trail passes/ memberships to ride the trails. That said, I strongly believe that if you are using any of the group maintained trails you SHOULD pay the membership fee. It's $55 a year... pick a group and support it.
@- GhostSportsmanATV - our rule of thumb is to get a permit from the club you ride the most. But since I just do day passes now I get it from the club whose maintaining it.its confusing in Ontario. We have 2 major permits. Eota and ofatv. Some clubs fall under ofatv and some eota.and then there are independent clubs who honor ofatv permit and Yada Yada Yada. I could go on forever. You have to know where your riding and where to get a permit before you take off. It's a pain in the ass. I ride mostly ofatv trails. But the 2 closest clubs by my house are eota. So when I used to get an annual I got eota. But when I went north I had to get another permit for ofatv. It's ridiculous. So I just started going with day passes. Cheaper. Just means I don't volunteer anymore. I'd have to get a day pass to volunteer. Kinda stunned!
greatr video Rob ! I was trying to figure out some of those trails you rode . I recognize some . I did know the guy in the Maverick sport xxc you met though .
I remember riding the trails over by Exeter in the swamp during the fall with the Kevin and the twins. it was a cloudy day and the weather was cool, at lest you did not sweat your balls off. Like you did in midsummer. Also, the bug level was way down too.

Yes hero 8. I have 2 of them. Double trouble lol. Lol well for being a sanctioned trail it was pretty grown in. I honestly don't mind the 25 dollar permit. I used to be on the bord of directors for my local club. 90 percent is for insurance. Thankfully that road was mostly traveled by bikes and quads. Thanks for the comment Q.
Hey man love the videos was wondering where abouts in co hill are u camping I just moved hear and I am in a wheelchair and it looks like a good spot if u are willing to share where it was that would be awesome
All wood roads like that is not avialable in Norway they are closed with a fence and forbidden sign, only a few timber roads are available so we must mostly drive only in public roads and i hate it. Or you can give a shit about the sign and you can get a ticket/fine for about 500 dollars or so they might take your licene plate too lol it is insane hate here against motorised thing in the woods and so on also snowmobiles is forbidden all over! So it is not easy to be a ATV owner in this country! Nice video thx for charing 👍👍
Yes most trails are 50kmph. Mainly because they are multi use trails. Last thing you want is to come over a hill and rear end a horse. Lol end up like that cop on police academy movie lol. It's lightly enforced by the provincial police. More heavily enforced on the snowmobiles.
@@RobMillerATV I’m hoping to be up in the Palmer Rapids area in the beginning of October 2023. I’m planning on spending about two weeks in Canada just trail riding and camping. Where are you located ?
Another guy with GoPro problems. I 'had' two GoPros...never again. You're better off buying the Chinese knockoffs. I went with a Sony x3000 action cam and never had a problem. GoPro IS overrated. end of rant. Nice video, love the fall rides.
Ya aye great ride. It was good to get oote in da wood dare hay.

What a great view!
Awesome place eh!

Beautiful scenery though. Fall riding is always the best. Nothing like a nice lake side campout to relax.
To each their own when it comes to cooking meat. Fall riding is definitely beautiful. Less bugs too. Thanks for watching.

Sure is

Bring some fishing rods next time! You passed a few lakes that I fish for some nice brookies 🎣
I never have enough time to fish. One day I will spend a few days up there and do more than ride. Thanks for watching!

@@RobMillerATV ok cool thanks
how long does your permit last for? 25 bucks for a year? or is that a couple seasons?? great trail like you said.. open er up!!
They are 150 for the season. 25 for a day pass and I think they have a 2 day for 30.
Ha! Let's start campin! Let's drink some beer!! Love it.
Is that the Hastings road that you camped on? Looks like there are a few spots along there.
The camp was on a logging road. I can't remember the name. Cheers 🍻

It's like that around my home too. I have to travel 4 hours to get to the good stuff. Thanks for watching.
So there is a speed limit on your trails? Who sets the limit, and who enforces it?
Yes most trails are 50kmph. Mainly because they are multi use trails. Last thing you want is to come over a hill and rear end a horse. Lol end up like that cop on police academy movie lol. It's lightly enforced by the provincial police. More heavily enforced on the snowmobiles.

@Gary Karnes I'm like 5.5 hours away from palmer rapids
Ok I thought you were closer than that to Palmer Rapids.
@Gary Karnes most of my rides are a minimum 4 hour haul from home. I live in south western Ontario. Close to Goderich.

Ya I'm not going to replace them with gopro when I decide they are done. Very disappointing.
